Pass -- Paul Ryan and the attack in Virginia today.
He said last summer was going to be this summer recovery.
It's a summer later and it's still worse.
They said that the private sector is doing just fine we need more government.
This is President Obama is imaginary recovery.
It's not here.
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani joins us on the phone.
-- there how are you -- I'm real -- mayor I we say -- bad.
Representative Ryan wants keep the discussion on the economy as does governor Romney.
There's a lot of push in Minnesota Democrats to bring this question back to the issues of abortion congressman Aiken.
How does it candidate.
Brian keep this sunny coming.
Prosecuted today it may do exactly do the right thing today -- Talked about the fact that the economy.
Is going through the worst recovery we had -- our lifetime.
Four years of Obama have been a disaster for our -- It's the American people to go to the polls -- just ask you better off now that you -- four years ago we probably thrown out 6040.
So Obama and Biden and try to do everything they can't just focus on something else.
The New York Times helps them greatly today the two main articles on the front page of the New York Times were about congress they -- Hard to believe what they'd never put Biden's remarks a week ago two weeks ago on on economic front page.
You were talking about sitting vice president they can totally idiotic remarks blatant.
Attempt to appeal to racist.
And somehow agents -- -- Congressman.
Is it is considered more important and that's and then by this continual gaps and -- big question the fight rages as to whether he's capable of being vice president.
You you referred to him I think in the past and the recently as as a joke to one lead -- -- -- maintain that.
Of course -- -- -- -- -- he probably.
Is the biggest -- slide on national television.
That we haven't had that a vice president I mean this is a guy a week ago couldn't couldn't -- stadium is a can't remember what century piece and can't remember a congressman Ryan's correct title called -- governor.
And then at the tentative ridiculous southern access to appeal to.
Black voters.
And to try to tell them they're gonna go go back into -- back used to work back not just you're going to be a chance to go back to the change.
-- that this was a disgusting appeal to rake system.
Which the Obama campaign.
Refused to apologize for -- the New York Times ignored although it gets ridiculous remarks.
And up.
The demanding coverage but to -- Articles in the New York Times they were about eight get.
-- -- is not an issue between the presidential candidate.
-- want some off the ticket.
Everyone -- some off the ticket killing one of one to ten on the ticket there's to take it.
What's what's -- thinking and the New York Times is New York Times it does New York Times think that it's one sided or some New York Times thinking we want to pick a particular candidate.
Can -- -- -- -- it's one side of -- and that ability to some kind of -- -- Anyone.
And -- want to listen to most doctrinaire Democrat.
Which showed that -- -- times is that seriously.
Well one site that people it was in the whole race and it always.
-- just look at its coverage now and it's of the coastal -- And today is great -- today is a great example look at.
Me -- articles about eight content on the front page.
When when -- got.
Afghanistan deteriorating.
We have and we have an economy that where there's a prediction now we may have 9% unemployment next year we've been -- 8% unemployment now for.
Four record record period of time if you go back to the Great Depression.
To find any kind of unemployment figures it anywhere and you'll like this under Obama.
The -- -- -- should be writing about it focusing on.
So I think the only thing that that governor Romney congressman Ryan can do just constantly you know get on the economy and and -- -- -- gets screwed the that the media coverage solutions gonna do riveting -- -- -- nor.
-- expected.
I do I expect to be there expect -- going to be actually terrific and -- I don't think.
I I think they're secure their -- all just get more attention to for the convention.
And what's what are the strengths and the weaknesses.
The Republican ticket going into the fall.
I think does -- straight to the Republican ticket is that.
It's in in their governor Romney's case he made it I'm unbelievably good choice in and -- Paul Ryan.
He has made an attempt -- a real honest attempt to try to get this campaign on the issues of the economy.
Going to take on Medicare going to take on entitlement going to take -- what needs to be done to straighten out our economy.
And I think the challenge is going to be exactly what.
What the chairman just said -- few minutes ago -- the challenge is going to be cutting through the the media bias.
Which if you just want to do -- -- Suitable test analysis is probably 7580%.
Favorable.
To have to -- -- -- What do you think there is more media bias.
Against the Republican ticket.
-- think there's more negative ads in the campaign.
Well I think yes it -- a tremendous amount of media bias I think that it's been it has been a love affair with.
With president Obama's -- the time he announced as a candidate including against -- Hillary Clinton.
I think there have a hard time.
Kind of dealing with how big a mistake -- -- only by supporting him and what a disaster expense for our economy.
And then I think there's always been a prejudice against a report that the Republican Party the media is basically Democrat.
And what it looks -- Republican ideas -- find some you know radical and you look at this whole thing on on on abortion and what what agent said it was very wrong.
It was a very insensitive thing to say it was a dumb thing to say.
-- apologize for Biden never apologized to what he says.
And not only that but still leading figures in the Republican Party -- to step down.
Whereas -- leading figures in the Democratic Party except for governor wilder who was courageous and -- -- Say what a horrible -- -- so what what terabytes that was.
That that the Democratic Party logistic and -- domestic it would Biden and and the horrible remark you made a few weeks ago.
-- thank you for joining us and so pricey next week in Tampa we're gonna take the show there.
Okay we'll see there.
