Two members of the media talking about the media and the coverage of this campaign we have in our Fox News poll tonight one question who do most members of the media.
Want to win that 61% responded to President Obama 15%.
Governor Romney we're back -- panel.
Well of the media have always had this liberal slant since you know of the earth cooled.
But what's happened is that with Obama -- got completely -- and in 2008.
The the media was so much in the tank for Obama that they -- it's Oracle's.
Today they're slightly less while died because he hasn't -- exactly stellar record.
And all that hope and change stuff and charisma and rocks -- -- has worn off.
I think what animates the bias now is antipathy.
To Romney conservative ideas and -- and all that sort of the natural ideas that liberals have.
It isn't only that the perception of the electorate is at the media heavily.
Supporting Obama it's the fact that if you look at all the polls of elite media in Washington over decades the numbers are overwhelming I remember a poll.
About 88 or ten years ago I think it was 78%.
Were Democrats 11% were Republicans.
And that's an accurate reflection the only question is how much of it is hidden.
And amateur videos over to no wait it was unbelievably over now I think -- stood still -- there but it's a little more his case.
-- Yes remember both campaigns spend a lot of time complaining about media coverage the Obama campaign as whilst the Romney campaign -- the Obama campaign's very angry about this welfare -- that -- Romney folks have been running that's been debunked by some fact checkers.
The Romney campaign on the other hand is is very focused on the fact that they think that the media is not looking at the big picture and a lot of instances.
Running for example did a press conference.
-- few days ago where he you know laid out his Medicare policy on a white board and then at the very end was asked a question about his tax returns and what led most of the stories was of course.
The tax returns and not the sort of debate that they were pushing about Medicare so I think you're seeing it come from both sides -- to be fair.
You know a lot of instances both campaigns are perfectly willing to encourage these kinds of things when they're aimed at the other party.
-- -- -- a lot of times judge to Casey's point it is like campaigns on both sides are trying to put the rabbit out there and have the reporters -- understood that I think the American public realizes the overwhelming numerical superiority of liberals and Democrats in the media.
And as I indicated earlier to you today the perfect antidote to that is the Citizens United case.
Which allows the free market to amass wealth and express ideas that might not always be covered by some of our conflicts.
21 point about coverage you know you heard a lot of stories a lot of focus on.
Pick of Paul Ryan and what it was going to do as far as his issues on on Medicare and his budget plan.
In our poll number nine who would be a stronger vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan 49%.
Joseph Biden 39 for.
39% and go to the next one.
If they had to serve as president who would you be more comfortable with.
And -- you see all voters 4645.
Charles on the Medicare issue actually the -- Ryan ticket is only two points down in this poll on that issue so that would be.
Against the conventional wisdom and reporting that we've seen.
When you consider that Democrats have -- the Medicare issue every since it was enacted.
In the mid sixties affected -- -- roughly -- I think is a victory for.
The Republicans and it has the added effect once or Democrats have to talk about.
The counter attack from Republicans is that -- steals from the trust fund.
So now Democrats have to talk about obamacare which they have tried not to.
Because it is so unpopular so it actually has a double a fact.
And I think if we're if -- succeeds in at least neutralizing the Medicare issue which I think -- easily -- can.
Then what you have to go is the default issue which is the American economy and that solution for Obama.
Most important speech at the RC convention.
Net -- out at 54 absolutely absolutely.
People gonna watch Ryan they love his usefulness -- -- Joseph Biden the golden testy by the -- by comparison Mitt Romney's got a really headed out of the party.
And Romney's speech is extremely important it looks as it was going to be a day in which the networks won't cover -- they -- -- change the day of that speech.
That is it for the panel.
