But right now brace yourself Rush Limbaugh says president Obama's second term is not the country's biggest worry.

He says something -- is so what is it here's rush.

I -- That the country.

Could survive four more years of Obama.

But I don't believe the country can survive.

In a country full of people would reelected.

But that's that's the that's the great fear -- I'm -- would you handle Obama but if if I don't know what we can do about a majority of people what are really the guy.

Bob two year old American spectator has a column out today.

Says bluntly Obama is going for the more on vote these people hang around and amount of global multi -- and what else to do -- idiots.

And even be measured point Obama is going for the moron vote and there's no question Obama is going for the moron vote and the Democrats are calculated.

That there are a majority of morons are gonna vote that -- -- him.

And that they're content to let Romney and Ryan get serious.

And talk about these things it really matter because Leo -- -- people don't give them -- rear -- about this little wanna think about this stuff seriously.

All they want to know is is are going to be any interruption -- what they're getting.

And if there might be an interruption -- what they're getting and I get a vote for the people I think you're gonna cause the eruption that's what Obama's calculation is.

It's always boil down to that for us I don't have for you to four years and we get him Obama but Kim we'd.

Handle.

A country with.

A majority of people would re elect the guy.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- Good evening Greta and that is -- isn't that that -- think that -- think -- to get your attention.

Anyway day dads -- -- attention dead earlier bag isn't that may have to retire this Jack have been -- so much but anyway out I don't drink is great kid.

I guess is pretty -- or Rush Limbaugh stands on this election any gray area with brush.

-- No not at all but remember he was quoting Bob drills peace this so.

He you know this this all starts -- Vontrell -- and -- is quite a wordsmith.

Connecticut is no doubt where Bob throughout the stance on election night going into -- November about.

Yeah I'd have a slightly more nuanced view I do think -- Obama's campaigns may very cynical decision.

That they can win this election without offering any concrete and positive agenda.

And the -- -- that they've they've got to do in which they focus their efforts since may fifteenth on.

It's trash chain in the battleground states and reputation of persona and the character.

Mitt Romney by accusing him of things like outsourcing jobs to China.

HR so ridiculous and even in -- -- post ran an editorial calling him bonk.

So I think they do believe that they had they are cynically looking at the voters and making a decision that you know look.

We can just trash is that we can put out are our advocates and our television ads in column a felon.

We can run out to ads that suggest he -- -- -- the -- a woman's cancer and through his own indifference.

We can do these things and create such a negative re -- reputation and image and a Mitt Romney that he can't win.

I also think that there are a lot of people concerned about the fact that we do have an increasing amount of people in America who are dependent upon government for most of their livelihood.

And that you know people want to protect his rush alluded to want to protect what they've got now I've I've got a slightly more optimistic view I think.

A lot of people -- -- you -- this statistic one out of every two voters gets you know and gets most of their money from the government pulled that includes people who paid into social security and that's their money that they paid -- And you know five found older Americans senior Americans are those -- -- -- the most concerned about.

Deficits and debt and the future of the country and are are gravely concerned about the direction the country wanna get it going in the right direction.

I think one of the strategy and this -- -- about a recent -- -- we hear a lot from the from the Obama campaign about this war on women I think they've looked at the polls.

I think -- -- the gender -- gap between now between the two candidates and I think that they're going for broke on this unit trying this because they know that since 1980.

More women have voted in elections than men and assist giant current gender gap and in reading your op Ed piece today at -- curious.

You said that President Bush in 2004.

Narrow that gender gap that Democrats and I said that the higher number on that.

How did it how did he narrow that gender gap in 2004.

Well by making -- an appeal to what was then called security moms by making it clear that he would keep the country safe.

And that he would do everything to two keep Americans.

It the American homeland safe from foreign from additional foreign attacks.

You know though it -- let me step back for just two minutes President Bush won and the male -- the men vote.

In 2004 by roughly the margin of most Republican candidates do he narrow the gap among women.

The problem for President Obama -- this you're right there's a big gender gap but the bigger gender gap is among men President Obama is losing among men.

By much larger margin than do the normal Democrats.

He's trying to look to offset that by trying to run up the numbers among women he's made -- determination his camp has made the determination.

That it's tougher to narrow the gap among men.

Than it is to try and widening gap among women which is why they've done things like.

Tell the war on women so there is a gender -- let's be clear what it is it is and President Obama is running way behind -- normal Democrat does among men and and as a result -- tried to offset them by running up the numbers among women.

I said he -- I dealing give president bottom of the peel off system that male votes from president or from governor Romney and governor Romney would love to peel off the in the -- votes that are invest that are -- being out weighted towards president Obama's I'm curious.

I don't well I I don't think you're right about I think you're.

I think you're right about governor Romney I think he wants to narrow the gap among women but I think you're wrong about President Obama I think his attitude is I can't win anymore male votes.

So I got to try and extend my lead among women.

So how OK so let it every -- -- -- -- governor Romney and the women vote what does he do ahead this you know at this -- at this day in a campaign.

What does he do to get that women -- how does he had a -- get the women to be convinced that they should.

Believe -- Obama and go over to his side of that ledger.

Well first -- all by talking about the issues that women and ironically enough -- -- care about talking about jobs economy deficit debt spending.

The health care.

Medicare remember in most families I suspect in his may be the case in your in your household.

It is the woman who is generally live -- And and charged in the family sell things.

They know the doctors who.

The kids go to -- the people who know the you know they simply.

Policy numbers and who's in the network and who's not there are intimately familiar with -- -- -- grandma's health care what you would.

What the docs are given -- what what Medicare will cover and so for so.

You know in talking about these issues of jobs the economy deficit debt in health care.

And and and treat everybody alike but making certain you talk to women you're seen with women to -- you know you put your wife out there.

Nor -- talk about these substantive issues as important the second thing is is it strikes me.

Mitt Romney has a big challenge in sharing more of who we as -- men and women and I think this is particularly true among women want to know.

What makes him tick where did he come from what's the arc of his life.

What are the values that are -- in his -- what is it that he seemed to authentically concerned about doing.

And the more that they get to know -- you you said late in the game remember for the people who have not yet made up their minds this.

You know six to eight to 10% that are undecided that twelve to fifteen to 18% who might be persuade -- -- or undecided.

You know this this is still relatively early they have heard about the campaign -- paid attention about it.

But they don't know as much as they wanna know and they -- they're gonna start absorbing more information here in the next couple weeks to -- make up their mind.

Aren't so how does it candid candid -- governor Romney get the narrative over to the issue of jobs and economy.

If the media prefers I think the media does the least of -- like this and a sexier big -- type stuff.

Which -- it how does it -- get the attention on those issues because.

Medicare and jobs is a very important but you know we've heard so much about a video sometimes -- get -- out in the weeds and that I think that it's it's really hard to drive the message -- whatever your program that's.

Yeah well actually still have the convention and they'll be able to showcase elements of his plan each and every day.

You do it like he did today with jobs in Mexico and talked about his energy plan laid out a concrete plan.

These are the things that are sort of the elemental blocking and tackling of the party mature of a presidential campaign but you're right this week.

They were having a good debate about Medicare and then along came time they can it is unfortunate comment on Sunday and has dominated more the coverage this week then.

Then governor Romney and his team would like to have I'm sure.

-- -- -- go to the convention you said that he has to -- that I've heard from the UN and also from -- -- last night that this is the chance for candidates here governor Romney sort of introduce himself is everything we need is so is so much riding on this speech on the last night when he accepts the nomination is in that bigot you know is is that that -- Far.

It's that important it's not the only thing that's important because look the convention is like you know it's if everybody knows or contrived they know that we no longer make big decisions there they know it's a big.

If you will production it's like putting on a play but you need -- -- -- narrative of the play the play needs to hang together people need to be interested but they need to walk away learning something new.

It needs to entertain and keep their attention and be well produced.

And they know it's all an event so that he had to say at the end of the day that speech is really important question is.

Do they say things in a way that -- powerful and -- and reinforce what they.

But the campaign wants to be -- -- things are -- moments of work I mean for example look Al Gore I thought at the time I was completely phony but when he came out there and put the big.

-- -- -- -- On Tipper Gore I thought it was completely phony but guess what it worked on the other hand I don't think it worked in 2004 when.

When John Kerry came out and gave the snappy salute and said you know John Kerry reporting for duty Eminem raise these issues of -- -- -- of the ability of the slides of this and -- comments after returning from Vietnam where he basically slandered all those who have served in combat with them by accusing them -- -- quote.

You know raped and released in a manner reminiscent of -- -- -- and quote so.

Then -- there're moments who wore what and vice President George Bush had a great speech in 1988.

They introduced him as the man who we was there.

You know -- youngest aviator in naval aviator in World War II -- man.

-- values family values a man of entrepreneurial background.

Mean these things are important and then there's -- speech becomes a vital part of the convention.

At both gentlemen.

I have high negatives in and that says a lot people vote -- we like better we have -- got reaction is the better candidate.

What do -- what is the -- but governor around since -- -- your candidate how does he get his high negatives down to a better range.

Yeah well look the first call -- and these guys negatives are essentially the same I wrote about this today in my Wall Street Journal column.

You know -- of them have their negatives in the high forties.

We've got the -- that this is the worst condition that we've seen from both candidates.

For president in any modern recent presidential election.

But they've got different negative -- Obama's negatives are performance people think he's done a lousy job in the economy.

May have inherited a bad situation but he hasn't solved that these over promised and under delivered.

They don't think he's doing a good job on the big issue of the day jobs economy deficit -- spending and health care.

Mitt Romney's negatives are more diffuse that I'm sorry yeah.

Gov Mitt Romney's negatives or more diffuse it is a question of who is he.

Is -- the vampire capitalists and he's been paid -- to be isn't a guy who raped and pillaged companies -- sources of jobs to China.

Is he weird like you know leave the Obama campaign David -- -- likes that word.

Is he weird and and so people wanna know more about a man how -- and -- came from and what he's all about and what it is that he's gonna do so.

In pres Obama is gonna find it hard to change the reality of the economy.

On the other hand.

Most of them -- most people don't know very very much or an awful lot about Mitt Romney and this is a chance for him -- it.

To share more of what he's all about and what his family's about what is life has been about.

What it is he wants to achieve for America with a concrete -- of his plans.

Remember more people are gonna watch that the commission actually particularly that speech.

And watched any activity thus far on the campaign and not only about a little -- by a lot.

Is the -- is the election night -- close.

You know I don't think we know I think I think the greatest likelihood is that it's going to be very very close on the other hand this could be like 1980 where.

In mid August GI -- Jimmy Carter was -- Ronald Reagan.

Other regional race remained relatively close until the debate cement into debates American -- said look we've made a judgment about the incumbent.

We found -- -- -- and this actor from California has given us.

The reassurance that we need to move to be able to vote form so I I think this is very much up near -- -- or bad man.

I say -- going to be a very close close election and we're going to be spent an election night.

How well into the morning trying to figure out what's happening but on the other hand.

The debates by the debates it may start to widen out just like and in 1980.

Ralph thank -- see next week in Florida.
