And from there things got worse the family didn't know what to do especially when their daughter turned violent attacking her baby brother and even trying to end her own life.

I have read through most of your book and this story is an amazing one at the beginning of her life.

But then finally at age six you you got that diagnosis on that day tell us what happened.
Well every it was a two year wall almost -- process suited to.
Get the diagnosis is -- -- we just went in and the doctors and our cities you know Tomlinson schizophrenic.
When.

She had a senator who is and -- very specifically remembered today in the doctors said we've ruled out everything.
-- child onset schizophrenia.
And my first reaction was one.

Because.
We.
We finally had a name for what it is and had been ripping away right jennies personality for the last couple of years.
And I thought okay we -- could we bring it out of the light but then there was the crushing realization.
Of what it is.
Exactly and we're looking at video of her right now I do want to show piece of video that you supplied to us.
It shows -- on what you -- to be one of her bad days and this was on a day when she was threatening to do bodily harm.
Yeah.

Is what we is this is let me -- to get into UCLA because they don't he's got -- -- it is no this was when you finally brought -- to UCLA to get treatment and she's been on some sort of a drug cocktail now.
But she's she was in UCLA for quite some time you actually one point your family moved into separate apartments because you -- -- safety of your young son right.
That that's correct for.
For about two and a half years.
-- -- -- and my wife Susan's idea.
-- I'd buy a so there's mid 2009.
Name is Jane -- and you see a life for four months and it look like she was is slipping.
Curtis slipped into her own world and and never come back and and I didn't want her that to happen in the hospital.
So I you wanted.
My wife Susan take her son bode and go out to her parents it in in the -- air act and Susan came up with the idea of two apartments.
And what we did is there was one apartment for -- one apartment for -- and Susan I would.
