Former President Bill Clinton has a new starring role now now now it's not a reality show what it is -- campaign -- for president.
Obama.
This election to me it's about which candidate is more likely to returns to full on form.
This is a clear choice they're Republican plan is to.
Cut more taxes on upper income people and election deregulation that's what got us in trouble in the first place.
President Obama has a plan to rebuild America from the ground -- investing in innovation education and job training.
It only works if there is a strong middle class.
That's what happened when I was -- -- we need to keep going with his plan my Barack Obama and I approved this.
Passage by -- that -- OK stay here first pick the first hundred.
Well it look back I think anytime Bill Clinton is back -- to discuss it just makes it more fun makes it more efficient but he's got credibility.
On these issues right the good people see Bill Clinton and they think about the 1990s they think about good economic times so it's obvious.
Why present a -- wants to do this wants -- -- this message and I think it's why we're here.
Quite a bit from Bill Clinton.
At the convention is there a downside I think there is I mean it does feel like -- reaching -- wave acting President Obama wants to blame President Bush for.
The economy today.
Because of what he inherited four years ago and he wants it is -- celebrate.
Bill Clinton's economy now that's twelve years gone by just seems like a real reach desperately.
Wolf but the polling still shows that a good chunk of Americans blame George W.
Bush for the bad economy so why not bring up the guy.
Who was.
Bush is predecessor and remind people that oh gosh yeah 812 years ago when back I was in charge -- -- -- well.
If if Obama is -- line with him why when I wanna look for him again.
I mean it's just phenomenal that that issue still resonates with voters and yet a huge chunk of Americans -- -- bush.
Well and he lets not forget the first Soledad.
Obama isn't the first person out there talking up what Clinton did in the nineties and in that Romney has mentioned it on the campaign trail and he's praised you know.
What he's called new Democrats and some of the policies that they refer to.
And also you know even as far indicated in the 2010 mid term elections we side Democrats were on the field pulling and they saw that Clinton was their most effective messenger on the economy even that and all of these candidates were trying to get him to come out I mean -- is still.
One of the strongest voices for them on these issues and in an election it's about the economy.
Who better.
I can't -- anyone who's likely to get people not to watch the giants cowboys game tonight at the convention begins the minute the and the campaign has put him up against big game and doesn't giant expand their product and on the front -- -- watch events and has been.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- But he's -- he's a very good messenger on these issues I just think there's.
Some risk in appearing to try to piggyback on somebody who's.
You know from so long ago especially when you've had President Clinton publicly disagree with Barack Obama a couple of issues -- -- remember he caused problems for the president of President Obama on being.
When he talked about -- Mitt Romney had a good business record -- sort of defended -- He caused problems for Barack Obama when he seemed to distance himself a little bit from the pitch that the -- current president is making to raise taxes on the wealthy and it.
He's he's he's fine if he's on script.
It's when he's talking extemporaneously that he can cause problems for the current president.
Can't say I just so -- -- just on the -- and hug and yet who could forget that search South Carolina thing flag during the campaign when he was out -- campaign for his wife.
And the Obama campaign basically called President Bill Clinton -- Racist.
Putting clearly worked very hard to move past that and we've -- sort of that in fits and starts over the course of this administration whether it was the two of them came together at the briefing room of the White House -- -- what went up when President Clinton and stayed and that that president -- left the advantage.
Right and he clearly it is hitting.
The concerted effort to make sure that you know the Democrats are putting together united front this isn't such a close election I mean they need.
Everything they have on the table they need every one in their corner and Bill Clinton knows that as -- -- anyone else.
You know we're talking about and that's what Bill Clinton once and -- the clintons happy.
The White House will be happy and that's anybody -- -- -- -- when he was and that's -- -- -- -- -- when he was president.
Anyway panel thank.
