Even if you've never been to New York City -- probably seen the Empire State Building this morning it's in the news for a workplace shooting.
Leaving two people dead we just found out from New York police commissioner Ray Kelly.
This shooter a look at 53 year old Jeffrey Johnson a former employee if he's an import set a company that designs women accessories -- That his coworker or perhaps former boss of 41 year old victim we're not sure of his identity they're withholding that at the moment.
You can imagine 34 street and Fifth Avenue a very very busy intersection in the heart of New York City.

Well to some extent people are breathing a sigh of relief yes this was horrific what took place here this morning describe -- -- -- -- And the police commissioner Ray Kelly but this was not an act of terror this was an incident that was criminal in nature involved a disgruntled worker of Jeffrey Johnson 53 years of age apparently he ambushed.
-- -- Who is -- with a company and apparel company where he once worked this individual was shot and a number of times and killed.
Then the gunmen.
Headed nor is.
Around the perimeter the Empire State Building the shooting took place near the Empire State Building.
And -- -- followed by construction worker the construction worker had seen the initial -- shooting.
And the construction worker then alerted police standing outside the Empire State Building.
Two -- let it happen.
The shooter then reached into a black bat we had a 45 caliber handgun the police saw this and then there was a shooting.
As many as nine people were shot none of those.
That have been injured are -- any.
Life threatening situation we are told.
And when that shooting was over the gunmen was dead again underscoring the fact this was a criminal -- not in any way connected to terror.
The mayor said that -- civilians played -- a rug heroic role in.
Making sure that.
The outcome today was less deadly than it might otherwise have been.
And as I said as many as nine people had been wounded none of those fatalities are reported to be life threatening back -- you.
