Some Democrats are using ads like this to scare everyone.
It -- thinking that if they vote Republican.
-- -- -- End quote end of Medicare will be upon us -- Been worse but is obamacare the plan that actually puts granny at risk some wonder.
Join us now -- neurosurgeon and author of American.
And Carson he's also the recipient of the presidential medal of freedom.
And a former guest with us as well on FOX & Friends good morning -- doctor.
Good morning.
When you see that -- I don't efficacy -- screen there you've probably seen it before there is is this is this what it's all going to be about for the next seventy days pushing granny off the cliff.
Well I think there are some people who are -- to try to make it about that but you know it's it's actually quite clear.
What's going on here.
The current administration.
Is trying to demonize.
The only really responsible alternative.
You know Medicare and Medicaid are going to go off the cliff not -- If we don't do something about it.
And you know mr.
Ryan mr.
Romney.
Have addressed that.
Are actually being realistic about it whereas other people are sticking their heads in the sand and trying to create a bunch of fear.
-- in doctor Carson what they've tried to do by exit by pushing granny off the clip is.
They've tried to suggest you if you currently.
Enjoy Medicare you're not gonna get it anymore but you know it with the Romney Ryan plan it's been very clear if you're 55 or older nothing's gonna change for you.
-- -- -- As you look at who's gonna pay for the the price of Medicare cuts we've got a graphic that shows that the study says that the cuts could increase patient death rates I know you're worried about that.
Talking about that less money to spend on staffing means fewer nurses -- bad.
And one of the other things is that if they do it and the president has taken 716 billion dollars out of Medicare for obamacare.
You take all that money out it just makes sense that it's a good qualities gonna go down yeah.
Well one of the keys here is that with the president's plan.
They are going to be cuts to hospitals.
And cuts to providers.
Now you already have a substantial number of providers who don't accept Medicare.
Because reimbursements are so -- it's not that these people are greedy.
Is that they are small business people they are trying to run a business and if it cost you more to take care of a patient.
That you going to receive you obviously can't do that so these are things that really need to be highlighted.
And I think.
Unfortunately for mr.
Obama.
A lot of seniors -- -- and heard and he thinks there and they actually can see this and they understand that they are not being effective.
You know by the Romney Ryan plan but they are being affected almost immediately.
By the president's plan because they won't be able -- care and you throw another thirty million people into the mix and you already have so much pressure particularly on the primary care positions.
It's not going to be a very good situation long waits poor quality this is not what we want and.
America it's interesting though because the messaging seems to be so important in this debate.
And when you continue to see a commercial like that with -- going over the -- if a lot of people don't look into the deet -- sometimes that's what they believe.
After Ben Carson a neurosurgeon the author America the beautiful thanks so much for your time this morning have a take -- to your -- and Republicans.
