On these kind of comments I think they're distracting they're being distracted from their -- one other thing that he mentioned in -- -- Here we're gonna talk to Karl Rove a bit more about this -- about 35 minutes but suggesting that he would be the one willing to work with Republicans in congress.

You have a compromise president.

This is the most interesting a line from this entire interview I think where President Obama portrays himself as sort of this compromise as somebody -- be willing to work with Republicans.

If he's reelected what would why would the president say that.

And the interesting I think obvious question for journalists now going looking beyond the Republican Convention.
