Welcome back everybody down -- check your clock we're on at a different time tonight.

Sunday evening and -- but as there waiting for a few more details about this revised schedule that we're all kind of getting the feel for right now for the Republican National Convention obviously and has been set a little bit off course by tropical storm Isaak.

A live look now at the convention floor in Tampa I was down here today had a chance to kind of look it over it was it's a beautiful -- beautiful format for what they're gonna do here and there working on the line Charlotte right now at the same time these are big operations.

And one of the scheduled speakers during this big event is my next guest we just got word that he will take the stage on Wednesday night governor -- Amazing to see here today great to be -- Martha thank you you know this is you know were way I mean everybody now wondering what was gonna happen with all this EU we're scheduled originally for Wednesday and that's where he'll fit well originally for Monday.

And then now they -- -- -- Wednesday you know it it's a tough thing to to get everybody and -- and you know I think they're doing a terrific job of convincing the program and make in -- all work in heaven to do it.

But based basically calling an audible to the line -- scrimmage.

Right here at the event yet and that's what they've had yeah I mean you look at all the preparation that goes into these things anything about a contingency that they plan for an answer most people think but I don't ever happen -- on but sometimes it does that's exactly what we're experiencing.

What what's your feel -- kind of what you wanna talk about what's your message going to be on Wednesday night -- this.

The original plan was -- night was going to be we can do better and to talk about how that America is in a position where we really can do better.

So I think what you're gonna see me talk about Wednesday.

You know -- that we can't do better -- and frankly I really believe we can and I think that's the whole thrust of of why Republicans have a great opportunity to show the contrast without being mean.

And without being unkind but with being with bringing clarity.

To the stark difference between the approach of Mitt Romney and Barack Obama to getting jobs.

Getting -- that under control getting America back on track getting people where they feel positive about their future.

You know -- you've been down this road and I want to get your feel for what you think about the -- campaign early on.

They were criticized and you know for a lot of things not being responsive enough sort of not letting him open up -- up all of that.

How what's your feel for where that campaign is right out did they make good choices.

You know I think it's so easy to always be critical of the campaigns but guess what he want.

So I think people need to -- -- that right there you go I'm so frustrated with Republicans and they can second guess every decision that a campaign next.

Of course it's easy to sit from the sidelines and to say here's how I would have done that.

But the truth is they have won and now their polling ahead of Morocco bombing in national polls.

A lot of people did not expect him to be doing that so I say you know what it's it's a classic example six -- has a thousand fathers.

-- -- -- -- I think we're gonna have a thousand fathers of success because I'm.

Fully convinced Mitt Romney's gonna win the presidency and and everybody will talk about a brilliant campaign it was and I think it has been you're talking.

About the campaign in terms of what it's like to deal with them and other campaigns down past and you do get.

There's so much discussion about the platform but you get a lot of different voices at these conventions and each party wants to convince everyone that there are -- big tent.

Isn't a Big Ten and what did they said to you about what your role what message -- they want you to bring.

You know it interest you should bring that up because -- I've spoken to serve alliances I've never been given the liberty.

That I been given in developing this speech -- myself.

They didn't say look here's really something we want you to say.

Please don't say -- none of that and frankly I was looking for gimme some you know parameters anything it makes you nervous anything that scares anything you just won't need to make sure I get in there.

I may or may not felt comfortable with it but they they said -- we trust you.

We trust you do what you feel good about I said you're kidding because I've never had that -- -- before -- I'm.

I'm delighted.

They'll probably live to regret that but we know that -- already started but we have some video of you up there on the podium today get a feel our -- And I -- you when I was down there it's an exciting moment for both conventions when you walked in and you start to get the pulse of at all how did it had to feel out there isn't isn't good set to -- -- -- out that.

You know I think they've done a magnificent job the setting is is -- very appealing and it's warm and it doesn't feel so stodgy in distant.

And I was very impressed with not only how it looked from the podium but also from up in the rafters -- she looked down upon it.

I think it's gonna convey a wonderful kind of platform for a Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to be introduced to America unit -- May surprise guitar playing up there.

No that's the one thing basically that they asked not to do and I have honored that request so -- According to -- -- -- America's -- data might do better thank you thanks Marat is -- appreciate -- pleasure to sit tonight how for the.
