-- -- -- -- -- -- get an education over here I don't about you guys were talking about delegates and high you become -- and you're about to learn more about it as well also delegates represent.

All fifty US states and other US territories they've all gathered here in Tampa this week for the Republican National Convention to nominate Mitt Romney for president so.

How do they get -- let's meet a few of them standing now is David Chang delegate from Hawaii super delegate.

Indiana delegate DD banking.

Also super -- yet okay super delegate and New York delegate Don Smith but you know what guys you figured out this super but -- -- -- I'm Sarah super super.

Just because of that Don Nelson figured out that you and David both went to west -- And graduated there you just found that out when you became.

Our panel right after it ends of the line 69 -- and I'm.

-- and all you do to doesn't into.

Wow aren't that we're in Iraq War -- yes correct and you started veterans around.

In in my area and I'm a part of veterans -- -- around me throughout the country I've been on the conference calls and working.

Since the very beginning on veterans for -- a -- in New York what you have to do -- become a delicate.

Well there's several ways to become a delegate.

Delegates -- appointed.

In the congressional district I represent.

I'm a representative in the eighth and ninth nineteenth congressional district.

Which will be the eighteenth congressional district in the future.

And there's there's a number of ways delegates are -- and but you have to basically carried the district.

In the primary in order to get the delegates.

And alternates.

-- you've known for four years that you were gonna be a super delegates to your house.

Well as some of the Republican National Committee Gretchen you have -- committee woman and -- committeeman from each state interstate chairman and -- -- state chairman.

So we -- that we're going into the convention and we can about the wherever we like we know we're going to be there no matter what so it's kind of fun for us so that's what super means you're representing Indiana and David.

You're representing Hawaii that's correct but help me understand and our viewers what the super connotation means shirt so for our state because -- -- -- territories different -- -- twenty delegates.

Three of -- super seventeen.

Are chosen based upon how the vote went in Hawaii.

-- last march.

The state of Hawaii we had a votes and added seventeen Mitt Romney got 60% -- he got 60% of the seventeen delegates.

I'm simplifying it -- L account -- -- A lot of math three of us we're not bound by how the vote -- why we could choose who we would like to vote.

Well you're all gonna choose Mitt Romney at the convention -- I pledge to Mitt Romney way back in November.

As part of the Romney campaign so what does it mean for you personally to be a delicate and experience this time at the convention.

For me Gretchen this is a passion.

I strongly believe.

That America's in trouble today.

It's about it's not just about the unemployment rate of eight point 3% or -- 15% real unemployment rate.

It's really about having a president who believes in America.

It's about a president who will lead America not apologize for America.

I don't think.

The country's been in his rough shape since the seventies when Jimmy Carter was the president.

And we need leadership we need someone who has experience.

Someone.

Who is a leader.

And someone who can be the commander in chief on day one someone who believe in the military have the military feel good about itself.

And I've supported Mitt Romney since day one because I believe Mitt Romney is the -- Really I mean it definitely here and now they cannot argue if you're delegate how do you react and added to the -- speech that we just heard well yeah.

I'd like that they're talented team and this is -- the rallying cry.

It is it just this is a team effort this is a sport politics is -- -- guy -- that Romney and and of course Paul Ryan were so excited about the suspect -- convention because.

We're able to see each other from all over the country to get this all.

Riled up in the -- -- and they're also -- to differently you all come here yet with one common purpose right.
