What do you see -- like the single most important issue they must do to middle America when you're gonna sit up the dinner table knife that well I know it did.
The issue that gets the most response when we are even in Iowa which is its immigration again.
And -- in favor of offense governor yeah I'd like offense and I'd like to also make sure that we have an employment verification system.
So that we know who's here legally and who's not who's able to work and who's not.
And that we say to employers here's this great system -- -- a card that you can look at what people apply for jobs and put in the computer database to tell you they're here legally they can work.
And if you hire them when they're not supposed to be working on the employers at fault and you go after them just like you would if they weren't paying their taxes.
Now that was our interviewing governor and and roaming around me back in 2007.
More than four years later -- immigration still as important to middle America.

He's made the issue worse by some of his programs that is put into place and you know moving.
Moving immigration officers off of the border.
We know how to secure the -- we have to deal with it every -- got -- 12100 mile border with Texas -- -- -- put.
Boots on the ground -- strategic fencing -- which what governor Romney is talking about when talks about a wall he's talking about strategic fencing.
Aviation assets in place secure the border first.
Then you can have a conversation.
With congress the American people the -- About immigration reform but not until.
We have some inching -- main conversation has in the past you must've been about jasmine -- dies an important.
This campaign but the immigration issue was such a big hot issue -- talking about a year ago and that has -- a little bit off the radar screen intensive discussion.
And I'm curious -- you think as we approach to Election Day that this will be greater prominence.
Well here's the reason I think that it's not as big -- issues it was this because Americans are worried about their jobs and in this presents overseeing this incredibly.
Bad economy for three and a half years Americans are concerned about.
Am I gonna have a job back.
Find a job how my going to be able to take care of my family.
What governor Romney and and congressman Tom -- talking about his vision for getting Americans back to war.
So.
It's it's what is the greatest concern at that particular point in time I think three or four years ago obviously the immigration issue.
May have been -- hotter.
Political issue it's always been a concern particularly for those of us -- border states but.
Who is going to get America back to work -- and have the security of being able to take care of our families is the biggest issue this campaign.
Explain may never understand this about politics and -- -- -- hold grudges.
And day you we have fierce -- stand in the primaries and ninjas -- important things back and forth you run and that of course the super Max ran back court.

How does that happen.
I don't think it's any different than you have would your personal relationships.
You know -- every now that I've probably say something to dear friend or two.
I'm playing serve.
You know god forbid even my wife from time to time that I had to come back and apologize for.
And so you know what we all.
We were competitors.
Everybody on that stage.
Wanted to be present -- United States we competed at a very high level.
But were also part of the team.
Can't everybody be the quarterback somebody's got to be block and somebody's got to be run and pass routes.
And that's what I consider my job but I'm not going to be the quarterback I got that figured out but I'm going to be part of the team because I love this country a lot of American values and put him back in the place and then Mitt Romney is our quarterback.
He's gonna take the ball he's gonna call the plays and we're gonna go try to make sure we win for the team.
