Major flooding at the moment Steve Harrigan has found himself knee deep -- a lot of that.

He's an ocean springs Mississippi what are you standing in Steve.

Build -- cease to be Washington avenue in ocean springs Mississippi not too far from the coast now behind me.

Is Biloxi -- the problem here is that now Biloxi bay is higher.

And Washington avenue -- higher than a lot of the coastal region.

So we've had heavy rain all morning -- which we could have for another 72 hours and now that Warner overflowing as well.

That means -- you drive around this part of coast of Mississippi.

You drive for half a mile or so and then suddenly roads are closed that's creating a lot of problem for rescues for people trying to get out.

-- -- -- like this for five feet deep the humvees the National Guard can't get through with vehicles so they have to take.

Rescue boat teams to get people out of getting from one place -- another really complicated going to get more complicated.

-- peoples' yards are already under water most of these houses were destroyed.

In Katrina seven years ago they've been rebuilt and tougher.

But people here really out on their porch watching wondering whether this water is gonna wipe them out again seven years later bill back to you.

What was it that way last night's favor is that just that day break that the waters that high.

It was not at all and that's another good point is just how remarkably quick.

This storm is moving.

Not with heavy winds but with the real search we've actually had to move our vehicle two or three times in the last hour because it creeps up on -- creeps up on you fast.

And officials here really stressing.

If this is not just a coastal storm this is a full statewide storms that are concerned about flash flooding not just here along the coast but along rivers and lakes throughout the state.

Steve is Martha here that is an incredible shot that we're looking at -- -- out there in ocean springs talk to me about.

The evacuation how many people are left in that area and were the warnings heated.

I think the warnings were he -- I think people took this storm very seriously 230 people died seven years ago in southern Mississippi.

In Katrina so people were cautious.

They have mandatory evacuations were -- three lower counties.

So that's about a 150000 people got out the problem is now for those people who stayed in places like wave and you can't even get to them.

Only some emergency vehicles some boats are getting in.

So what I'm standing -- right now is far from the worst of it.

It's bad it's getting worse but.

There's a place I want to get -- down the road.

That I can't get to yet maybe tomorrow and if people are in there it's going to be very tough for anyone to reach them and help them in these daylight hours.

On that seven year anniversary of Katrina the levees are holding.
