Ladies and gentlemen and it deserves great leadership.

Let us go forth from this -- and confidence encourage.

Committed to restoring decency and honor to our republic.

Let us go forth knowing that our -- is just.

-- elect George W.

Bush the 43 president of the United States.

Well last night with -- and Paul Ryan's turn to accept the nomination for vice president twelve years ago.

It was former Vice President Dick Cheney who was in the spotlight and his family was there to cheer him on his wife Linda -- -- Well his two daughters cheered from the stand.

And dining out is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney they.

See him and and you think it thanks so you see that snippet of your -- is either a really I guess my hard obviously for you because that's your flesh and blood that your father.

Of them tell some of the memories of what it feels like to be part of the vice presidential nominees -- sitting there watching it.

It's a whirlwind you know but I'll never forget walking into the hall for the first time and -- the banners that said bush Cheney on it I mean you just really.

Here in the spotlight and you also though have a whole new life you know steadily year you've got to -- service protection.

You really living inside a bubble.

And so you know what you -- things I learned the first day that we were in Philadelphia for example I tried to order some pancakes from room service for my little kids.

And after about an hour and a half no pancakes and -- kind of went out in the hallway in the -- serviceable you can't take there's no elevator service to this floor so to alert -- if -- -- ordered pancakes I can't.

It wasn't there another story about your daughter did some sort of a funny noise giant.

But I didn't -- exactly my daughter Elisabeth is now almost fifteen.

And barked during a large part of the actually the big indication when -- so.

And my AS sister and I were laughing try not to laugh while Elizabeth was you know.

Barking and all of the press was you know underneath -- taking picture this little three year old.

My mother was watching the whole thing from backstage and really -- she didn't know Elizabeth was barking she could just see Mary and me laughing during the prairie cellular and this ripple.

-- -- -- I'm sure your fifteen year old loves hearing that I know I don't -- flat lining up to -- is exactly old saying agree exactly that but let's have a little bit about foreign policy because that is your expertise among many other things in last night a Condoleezza Rice.

Had some thoughts about that during her speech.

Dictators in Iran and Syria butcher their people and threaten regional security.

Russia and China prevent a response.

And every one asks where does America stand.

Where does America stand you see when friends Oracle's.

A life.

Don't know the answer that question unambiguously and clearly.

The world is likely to be a more dangerous and chaotic place.

So what condi was talking about was where does America stand right now -- she seems to be unsure about where America stands what do you.

Well I think she was exactly right you know she said basically -- a situation where.

Our allies don't think they can depend upon us and -- their enemies don't BS and when the world is unsure about America's position in the world is less safe.

You know President Obama came into office and determined in my view to make sure that he took America down and not -- and -- even talked about this went to the UN and said.

You can't have a world order where one nation stands above all others.

And so when most of us as Americans a look at what's happening in the world look at it weakens America and say this is made the world more dangerous I think actually president Obama's.

Intention was to bring America.

Down well that's an interesting perspective because when you look at the polls Americans don't seem to be back -- -- about foreign policy coming into the November election.

What -- congressman Paul Ryan do.

To change that.

As an up and comer what do you think about his form well I think he textile last night he also recently is given a speech where he talked about the importance of American strength.

The fact that American strength has got to be based on a strong American economy here at home.

But the notion that you know -- -- world when you've got it back in there is no other nation that can step in and lead the way that America can.

-- you look at what's happening around the Middle East today for example.

Where the US really seems to be heading for the exits and not stepping in and saying wait a second we will stand with Israel we will make -- the -- -- don't have nuclear capability.

And as Secretary Rice said last night -- cannot lead from behind us that this president is affected him.

Always great to get your perspectives especially after listening -- all right you can really relate directly to what that feels like thanks so much thank you pick -- they.
