An extreme weather alert tropical storm Isaac is dumping more and more rain on Louisiana as it -- -- on a path towards Arkansas so let's head over to Jonathan -- he's live for us.

Yeah good morning again -- the race.
Continues to cause flooding problems -- the slow moving storm system continues to unleash huge amounts of rain even though the winds are dying down.
Communities such as Slidell on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain.

Neighborhood the problem is they have these pumping stations but the surrounding by -- are filling up with water so rapidly that the pumping stations currently.
Can't really remove the water as rapidly as -- rising but then as you go closer to the coasting communities such as -- -- parish you have.
The issue with the storm surge pushing the water.
Even some of the -- waters against the levees -- not Army Corps of Engineers levees but much smaller local levees in one community.
All the water actually over topping.
The Levy officials having to go in and evacuating residents and a mandatory evacuation area.
Who decide so hunker down their homes thinking that they would be safe.
In a category one storm.
Not the case now here in the city of New Orleans the Army Corps of Engineers levees have.

However power is out for much of the community so authorities calling for a dusk to dawn -- Curfew so far police say there have been very few problems with looting back to you guys.
