-- let's turn now to Iran and a blockbuster claim about its nuclear capacity the UN nuclear watchdog group.

Saying -- number of uranium enrichment centrifuges Iran is keeping an underground bunker has more than doubled since nay.

The centrifuges are not operating yet and Iran insists its program is for peaceful purposes only John Bolton.

The former US ambassador to the UN -- Fox News contributor hello mr.

ambassador.

I had to do it okay so does this week -- DI AEA released this report found a number of troubling developments that they're very extensive activities.

At this particular complex.

These activities will hamper future investigations and as we said the number of centrifuges.

Have more than doubled what do you make -- -- -- this.

Well I think it shows very clearly that Iran is not at all deterred or impeded by.

The increase sanctions that have been in place on its oil exports and financial transactions it shows it's clearly determined.

To proceed with this very broad deep nuclear weapons program the enhancements at the -- -- -- which is the deeply.

-- facility.

You're talking about also involvement and more advanced generation centrifuges -- more productive more efficient -- enrichment.

And there are other signs in that IAEA report also that show that Iran continues to try to obscure its likely nuclear weapon.

Weapons related work.

At the -- and artillery base.

So all of this is a real sign that Iran is steaming along toward that -- -- objective and that the west efforts to stop them are again failing so what should the US do now.

Well I've recommended for quite some time that that in the in the given that the failure of sanctions and diplomacy.

That you have to look at.

The use of military force against that program let's be clear the most likely outcome right now is that Iran will get nuclear weapons and if Iran gets nuclear weapons Saudi Arabia Egypt Turkey and maybe others will.

As well.

It's a very unattractive choice.

But that's the choice certainly Israel is facing right now.

And ending perhaps it's because we've been sort of consumed with what's going on the campaign trail but we haven't been talking that much about Iran I'm sure you have.

But in the media and the the president -- administration we haven't been talking.

Much about it -- we assume that there -- decisions being made behind closed doors about how to handle those.

Well I think decisions are absolutely being made in Israel looking at at physics rather than politics I think they're gonna wait -- the last minute.

Before making a decision to strike Iran but I don't think they'll wait beyond that last minute I don't think -- electoral calendar has anything to do it but I think the chances that the Obama administration will use force against Iran.

00 and zero I think the Iranians know that that's one reason they're so confident it's one reason they're actually.

On the political offensive now in Vienna at the international atomic energy agency.

Back to try and increase the influence of the UN's nonaligned movement a 120 countries that they've just been elected president for the next three years.

And Israel all mr.

-- what defines the last minute possible.

Well I think they are very worried given the limitations on Israeli military power that this -- facility or other.

Hardened -- deeply buried facilities.

Might be out beyond their capability I think right now they could barely stop the -- -- facility if it goes much farther.

They might be unable to an addition there's always the threat.

That Russia will resume shipments of very sophisticated air defense systems that can defeat anything except stealth aircraft which Israel doesn't currently have so Israel's on a very short time -- here.

And so what what do you think is going to happen next.

Well I think that Iran's gonna continue toward that building a nuclear weapon I think Israel is really where the action is they've got to decide they've got to make the very risky very potentially costly decision.

Whether they will strike because I think.

That despite the Obama administration's.

Throwaway phrase all options are on the table.

Including military force Israel doesn't believe that -- Shiite Iran doesn't believe that and is -- gonna have to act on its own.

Ambassador John Bolton thanks so much for your expertise on us.
