Carl thank you.

Let's get some thoughts now from senior political analyst for him pretty Brett -- -- made the travel from -- anybody here what about that speech you know a lot of talk has been about the style and how was delivered.

But for the folks like Karl who cover Mitt Romney every day many of them say it really was the best speech he's delivered.

I thought the speech was not poetic but.

In all likelihood -- You know you look at Mitt Romney up there on the stage can you picture him as president most people look at him and saying yes they can -- president.

You hear the details of the work he did it bring capital here a little more about it.

Other speakers reinforced it.

I think that was important for him to do and probably helped him.

When you hear about his his personal life and then you get a sense of his family that's important and you know I sense that that people look at him and if they're in the mood to make a change and that's the question in this election.

Are people gonna decide yes someone make a change in the second question is can we except him.

My sense about it is that the man listed on the stage tonight sleepless night for people to decide they want to make -- change will be acceptable to -- And do you think that that was the dynamic set up by the campaign well how to deliver this solid speech where people get to that well I know that the speech went through a number of of renditions I know some of the writers were involved and -- -- capable of quite soaring writing.

And -- my sense is he -- today that he wanted utilitarian approach that he wanted a very straightforward presentation.

And I think he deliberately -- the contrast between Mitt Romney 2012.

And Barack Obama with.

All of that went with that and all the romance about that four years ago and of course who would have ever imagined that the punch line of the speech would have been one where he says.

I'm going to try to help you and your family.

Clinics what it seems to have just.

Taken over the media coverage -- today.

Your thoughts about this and how it plays well my guess is it to that -- would put a lot better certainly played well the whole bit delegates liked it.

My guess is it played a lot better home than it did in -- in the bubble of the media.

But you know look that it.

I do think it did his time might have been better spent if -- does it help to push to do that Romney speech later than it might have been part of it was outside of prime time.

-- so that was probably undesirable so.

You know like if -- -- they had it to do over they probably would have been out part Brit that we have thank you.
