Welcome back what -- Jeb Bush Republicans hitting hard against president Barack Obama's blame bush -- including the former president's own brother listen from earlier this week.
And my brother well.
I love my brother.
He is a man of integrity courage and honor enduring incredibly.
Challenging times.
He kept us safe.
So Mr.
President.
Mr.
President it is -- time to stop blaming your predecessor for your failed economic policies.
You're dealt a tough man.
You were dealt a tough man but your policies have not worked.
In the fourth year of your presidency a real leader would accept responsibility for his actions and you haven't done it.
So how are Democrats responding joining us now is Fox News contributor and former campaign manager for the Howard Dean campaign Joseph Trippi is down there in Charlotte for us this morning Joseph nice to see this morning.
Good good to be -- Clayton.
So we have this poll was hitting his interest staying and what we'll see this week from the Democrats who's more responsible for our country's economic problems this is how Americans say in this poll.
54% still blame President Bush for this 32% President Obama so.
Will we hear a lot of blaming bush or will the Democrats take perhaps a higher road and say people -- are aware of that.
What do you think.
Well I think we have both parties are really aware of where the people aren't as that's why the Republicans keep saying things like like.
Jeb Bush did -- that -- That the president was dealt a bad hand well it that -- that -- that there was some bad luck involved -- wasn't bad what the Democrats are gonna say.
It and it was bad policies bad.
Bush policies and -- both.
Romney and Ryan are going to perpetuate those same policies we can't go back we have to go forward so that mean.
That is how I think I don't think -- here George Bush the person.
Mentioned that much much but the bush policies that bush failed economic -- those kind of -- you're gonna hear a lot of this convinced I think.
You know some of the criticism we heard from the RNC war and even from conservatives that we didn't get specifics on policy.
But this is -- first time Americans are really paying attention to to be political season right now they're watching them on the national stage and they wanted some specifics.
The same can be said of Democrats this week and we see what the president is standing up there he's got -- -- assists for -- period under him at the podium.
Are people wondering what is forward mean does that mean current momentum -- critics are saying we don't have a lot of forward momentum.
How well they articulate what that forward means to the American people can they do it what should they do.
Bit yes they they have the right I've -- to put this can't be convention just talk about failed bush policies no woman really wants to get into it.
Who cares about what happened in the past anymore in that case I think what Jeb Bush was talked about was correct that's people know where we're going.
And so I think it was incumbent both on Romney and Obama.
-- it articulate the American people where they wanna take the country I'm not sure Rami did a good job on the specifics I think he did a good job of setting up.
You know to take a look at him in his last last richer but robbed her Obama he asked that I think.
At this convention.
Lay out for the American people his vision specifically where you want what his plan is to change things moving forward I think if he can do that.
Then then Romney puts a lot of pressure on Romney put more specific plan.
Forward the rest of the way if you were advising President Obama it would be to give.
-- the American people specifics is that what you would say to him.
Yes I really think he has to say -- here's my plan.
For the second term for for.
Turning on jobs creating.
You know -- vibrant economy and -- in in protecting.
Social Security Medicare but here's the plan to do it not just the plan.
For you -- from problematic but what is the plan.
Joseph -- always great to see you we will look forward to your coverage down there in your analysis as the DNC unfolds from Charlotte thanks Joseph.
