He started out looking for love handing out.

-- final rose -- the bachelor but now he has a passion for politics and instead of a rose he's handing out promised.

To Mitt Romney as a delegate at the Republican National Convention this week yet bachelor turned California yeah.

Andrew Firestone joins us now from -- Francisco -- nice to see this morning.

Become -- delegate it seems like it's got to be a complicated process.

Well I've been involved just sort of on the peripheral in California politics for -- father was and office a variety of different positions but I've been involved more recently.

And to supply to be a delicate and and somehow they chose me so very that'd be part of the California delegation and you say that being a father.

Really puts you to the next level why so -- having kids.

Make you think more seriously about politics and what were your impressions -- the convention this past week.

Well yeah out of a father too young kids and a husband and four years ago I was just a husband so a lot of change of its last four years.

And certainly I think it's adjusted my my outlook and thinking about my kids' future.

-- things like the state of the you know education in this country and most importantly economy.

Those two things are the biggest factor in making me get more involved for my kids not just for myself.

And my impression of the current convention I went there to learn and I came back inspired about tell what's going on on the Republican ticket this year.

And -- you're enjoying all of our bachelor references so I have another foray out.

-- this speakers that you heard currency would you have given -- -- the first impression and I -- -- on the big bachelor dad myself.

Who wouldn't get the right doesn't rose.

Well I think obviously Romney and Ryan gave great speeches but I would say that -- Marco Rubio I think was very very inspiring.

And I think that he really spoke to what American.

Opportunities offered to to immigrants coming to this country and why people sacrificed to come to America -- opportunities as country provides.

And maybe the fact that that some of that American dream is slipping away a little bit as as the federal government grows.

Maybe some of those opportunities are limited and I think that that Marco Rubio spoke to his experience.

And that sacrifices that that his Stanley made today to give him a better life and and that you know that Condoleezza Rice was amazing Susanna Martinez.

All of -- -- was great speakers and very very inspiring.

Obviously come from a long line of business leaders great grandson of Firestone tires -- the creator and founder -- so it you have a long history of being in the business world and when you look at President Obama is resonate vs Mitt Romney's resume as it relates to business what stands out to you.

What he did the leaders can lead in different situations better than others and I think that four years ago of President Obama a great case for why.

-- should be the president you know we've seen now four years later that those things haven't come to fruition.

But now we have a choice to make and you look at at Mitt Romney in his resonate not only in politics but in his private business.

And it it is he's a turnaround guy.

And I don't think anybody in this country would you Republican or Democrat or libertarian can say that this country's on the right track right now and needs someone to put it back on the right track.

And I just I can't imagine a better candidate than Mitt Romney for what he did in Massachusetts.

Turning around a budget deficit to surplus.

To the Olympics taking a a distinct a -- terrible situation.

That I was in crisis and pulled it out to one of the most successful Olympics ever and now we have the opportunity to put this same guy.

In charge of turning America around -- I don't care what party your part of we need Mitt Romney to turn this country around.

Part of being a successful bachelor's tailoring your message to many different women could you got a Big Three for 1025 at the same -- at her office -- Mitt Romney had a good tailor his message.

To that audience there or did it work for you did he inspire you there some say it was just two average.

Now that's not that's not average at all I mean we all know his business acumen we -- know his political -- history and what he's done and in Massachusetts.

So what I wanna be here with -- -- bit Mitt Romney the man is the kind of guy that I can trust and believe in and what.

In Romney spoke to what his kids spoke to and what Mitt Romney spoke to was his history.

In philanthropy that he doesn't get a lot of credit for because he -- -- -- credit for all the stuff that he does behind the behind the curtain.

You know in his in his private life and this was -- this is a real guy that I trust because.

That that that speech he gave humanize him.

I saw that you know I like it a president that wants to -- fifteen cents on an envelope.

I like that I won a -- and president I've got this country in a time when the economy.

Is in dire straits I ever really politics not -- not say Andrew any plans to run for office.

Listen right now I've got to three year old and a one year old and and in being a husband a father is is about all I can handle right now.

I just really hope that this November that route regardless of party Republican Democrat you look what is the best opportunity for my kids.

To to have the future that that I want for them it is it is you know an ever growing government or is it the opportunity that America provides has provided for many other you know families.

Where you live in a state -- knows all about shrinking government right.

-- don't know right I don't know I mean California ball.

-- a minute -- -- -- stamps aren't saying thank era by federal and thank you so nice to see and hear.

In my favor that it Bradley you know an avid watcher of the show I know I think it's a -- a little bit since since he left there needs some stronger bachelor's -- you go back for a second tour of duty and now he's now married.

Enough is beautiful -- and perhaps a good call you as a consultant for the show that I could be.
