British shocking cell phone video appears to show a teacher -- on -- students to bully fellow classmates incident took place back in February.

Video just kind of -- right now following an investigation and get this after the incident took place that teacher.

Was still employed reassigned.

The students and parents outraged about the attorney for that bowling team.

Joan Mel joins us now to talk about and of course we're not releasing the name of the team for that -- protection Joan nice to see this morning.

Good morning so where does -- stand now the teacher now once this video what you -- -- wouldn't remarkable to me is that.

The teacher was reassigned because we hadn't yet seen this video the school district I guess felt it was enough -- to sweep it under the rug.

And now that this video came out suddenly the school district is going back on their plan.

Well I think so I think that Republicans.

Discussion and the and the attention and brought about by being able to actually view what went on in that classroom has made a big difference and.

It's important for people to understand and realize.

Cosmetic an instant like that can be and -- you -- -- that Jones will give us video right now next few on the screen.

What are we looking at here.

Well you're looking at a concerted effort to target one young man who's trying to get an education and I don't think that you see any kind of -- happening there you're not seeing any education going on other than -- to.

Make sure you can.

Target an individual child and and show your dominance or he -- -- of the play toy and that's certainly an appropriate.

In the classroom so pinning him down putting cheers on top of him all the while this teacher.

Egging on the rest of the students to teacher says he thought it was just harmless horseplay.

Well the teacher was leading the activity the dead chairs on top of my client happened at the direction of the teacher if you see the full video clip you'll see that the teachers actually initiating putting the chairs on top of him.

I is also poking him in the -- You know turning around and expressing his interest and passing gas on him there's a lot of alarming activity by the teacher.

He's acting more like a twelve year old.

Who who has no appropriate boundaries and is acting out in the in his own classroom as opposed to -- -- classroom and explaining to students how to Humana.

He was reassigned.

This school districts didn't fire him reassigned him.

What do you want to have happen as a result of this investigation what do you want for your client.

I -- my clients are really hoping that there's never ever happens again in the schools that their son can get a good education and every other student.

Can get a good education without the risk of being tormented and abused in the classroom.

And dad they just want kids who say they want the school to recognize that this is a bullying incidents and treated as such.

-- patiently waiting for dean -- and sheriff's department to complete their investigation and take appropriate action.

Hunting include investigating why the school didn't handle this and the -- -- -- the legislatures set up the process to work the teacher's name several agencies -- I'll look into these kinds of matters rather than just leaving it with the school to decide whether or not it's something they want the rest of the universe -- about.

And -- the teacher's -- we should mention is John Rossi.

He was suspended at the time resident Rosie excuse me ROS -- he was he was suspended the time for ten days.

And then reassigned as a substitute teacher.

But he was never he was retrain he was never fired do you want him fired and -- the sheriff's department actually come in and arrest him.

I don't know that the sheriff's depart -- will come in and rest and then tell the prosecutor has made a charging decision at that time they may do so if they feel it's necessary.

I don't know I understand mr.

-- has lay's legal counsel so he may arrange for.

And I and appropriate action in the event that there's a charging decision made against the teacher himself.

I -- hard to say those those entities work separately from what we're trying to do and we're just trying to make sure that.

The discussion stay as positive.

Certainly don't wanna see maintain -- more tragic appear as a result this incident we want to see it get more.

Focused on what needs to happen in the school.

Lose and I'll.

How are kids need to be -- educated without this kind of risk and the long term detrimental effects are just astonishing and it's it's significant matters.

We'll get yet here on this question which is we see that we think so much about bullying in schools we -- so many segments here on the show about how.

Horrible can beat other students -- here we have a teacher and -- the leading a bullying session against the -- how is your client doing how was a teenager doing today.

You know he's getting better he's getting better but it's a lifelong effect he's had to change schools he had a sibling in the school.

In the days and now they are going to different schools that means different vacations different holidays not sharing the same experiences not being able look back and and reminisce -- -- -- a graduate of and dig our from -- so it's it's a different lifestyle and it's gonna how long term effects -- he needs stay tuned to learn -- and not be the victim and not be.

-- be placed in -- situation and and -- adults and an educational setting them not so tough to do when you've been so tragically.

Violated and disappointed by the leaders around him.

Well John we appreciate you coming on this morning telling us that story and they keep -- up to date with the investigation and how it goes forward John now the attorney for that bullied child --
