Growing election controversy in Washington after a government accountability group accused FAA survivor supervisors.
Of using the agency's employees to vote for President Obama bit of encouraging them and other Democrats if that is true be a violation of federal law.
Trace Gallagher -- -- to relax my breaking news desk Trace.
And -- to FAA senior managers look at the Seattle FAA office and they spoke at a mandatory employee meeting now a nonprofit watchdog group that also claims to be nonpartisan it's called cause -- action.
As identified those two senior staffers one of them being a man named ray -- and the other one being a man named John Hickey.
And they say John Hickey told the workers that Republicans -- -- to cut the FAA budget 15%.
And then quoting here.
If the Republicans -- office their jobs may be affected if the Democrats -- office then their jobs would not be affected well at least two.
Of the Seattle FAA employees thought the comments were so inappropriate they contacted their supervisor who in turn contacted the FAA's regional council.
Fox News obtained an email sent from the supervisor to the regional council that says and I'm quoting.
There seems to be some energy within the office as a reaction to mr.
Hickey is inappropriate at best comments.
And more than a few employees took umbrage that a person in such an elevated position in the agency would make those remarks my understanding is that more than one employees' perception was that mister mister -- was essentially telling them how to vote if they wanted to keep their job well of course this could be a violation of the hatch act the law that prohibits government agencies from getting involved.
In partisan activities so now positive action has contacted Eric Holder the attorney general.
As well as the inspector general's office.
Asking for an investigation so far no response from the inspector general but the FAA has released a statement saying quote.
The FA -- takes hatch act violation allegations very seriously.
And will cooperate fully with any review of all the allegations.
And the northwestern branch of the FAA is also investigating this -- Trace Gallagher thank you.
