Well and other current has father have both political conventions the burning question which party energize his base -- the Republicans -- the Democrats does it even matters is both parties are really trying to lower the independence and the undecideds.
Democratic strategist Joseph Trippi joins us before we get to that show I treaty Twitter account I -- US does have the world.
And you said that the bests.
Guess speech did vote both conventions was vice president Joseph -- as it clearly upset a lot of he figured out trending -- -- -- -- trending on Twitter as a result of that.
-- I thought he I thought it was the best speech at that every I think it was up there with Clinton's by a little better than -- then is I think for this.
Didn't do the best beaches of the of this convinced for the same reason.
-- testifying.
About Obama they can say things about him he can't say about himself without load looking like he's bragging but the that.
But what I I think people forget how good an order Joseph Biden can be.
When he's on and he was on tonight he would hope crowd revved up -- they're on fire let's say it was about it is about revving up the base and -- also.
I think it the the other thing about it is that both of those speeches Clinton and Biden were about.
Whose side disguise on and if it was really bad keys on your side it wasn't.
If it wasn't about any of these issues or anything else -- you know we're gonna mess -- Medicare.
You think -- underside or a bomb on your side and if you would salute to both Clinton and in pride and they made the case that it it it's it's.
Barack Obama you know I put a plug for Vice President Biden to you know a lot -- my front -- he makes -- now and then but if you read the books political books paid about what goes -- behind the scenes you look at his rich history.
That -- -- the innocent and not that I'm not preaching and when should agree with him or not politically but he is oftentimes the adult in the room I mean he's a real thinker and he is Scott decision.
Actually haven't yet people -- serve I think unkind to him and it's unjustified.
-- -- I think that's right and I take I think people look at he was.
During the eighties I mean I was.
Out there and he was literally -- -- one of the best orders in the in the party at the time even more than just an order -- -- -- he's grown in maturity I think on issues in policy he's gotten much stronger over the years.
And I think really has been a big help to the president the other speech though tonight.
This is gotten sort of the buzz.
-- -- -- the buzz the sort of off is carried signs like keep John Kerry actually did a pretty good job but I don't I think because.
That's -- -- was stacked with Joseph Biden in the president you know sort of got lost but but I thought it was -- to -- what about them government ran home there's been a lot of she was quite animated.
Yes he was a -- that mean this place -- I don't I don't know how played outside of -- hall but.
But I mean she got the roof coming off the place look at that we're looking at right now.
Yeah so much they even have their own elevator.
But the people who design and build and sell those guys.
Well in -- these world.
Parents get -- elevator and the parents get.
And of course issue was the governor of but to -- I don't -- terms of tactically and either side come out ahead -- going into now the last sixty days.
But I -- good type I really believe this going to be a base turnout election I think both.
Both convictions serve their purpose to do that I don't think there are a lot of undecideds left out there for them to fight over.
Hispanic vote is -- -- it's still it's pretty democratic vote but I -- I think for the first time we saw Hispanics -- have prominent roles of both conventions.
And I think both pars you take a the Democrats have there to try to save them and Republicans do take.
-- -- Well I mean the Republican -- under the under both Jeb Bush and George Bush.
We're very effective had they are courting -- the Latino Hispanic vote and then it just.
If it.
It it's almost like a bush thing in the party if not the party I mean they just sort of wise at the wheels came off of that with immigration and -- -- Romney himself that during the primaries moving to right so hard on immigration.
That is so I think he's gonna get them back in this election I think long term.
That's a disaster for the Republican Party they don't figure out if that you you know the media rubio or someone who can pull -- in and there were clearly -- Governor Martin he has if it's not a good seat because he's a Republican elected in a democratic state and in so we don't know I don't know what her influence she -- but I -- -- -- I think it is but again if you don't change -- put it if your policies are so harsh on immigration some the other other.
Issues out there I don't see guys that work did she collected them and -- as -- as -- Republican and a Democrat pressed Obama won that seat by about fifteen points so how did she get elected.
At well I think I think it's because she I don't know I don't think she has that position on immigration.
I don't think -- I don't maybe it was on his that she she actually I don't -- -- -- -- she better position though the governor Romney and that self deportation in May very inclusive and agree with a lot.
I'm missing is -- do you is -- not so sure that that Saatchi lost electorate for the Republican party's people think.
Normally like it you know it's it's not it.
It's not but they're gonna have to work on it and I don't think they did it I don't think Romney gets -- back in this election that is a problem that is -- from -- just thank you.
-- -- just hours.
