Plus the world -- eleven years since the events of September 11 we are getting an inspiring update on -- wounded American soldier.

US marine corporal Juan Dominguez was left to triple amputee after a bomb went off in Afghanistan back in 2010.

You may remember him from the group of proud patriots we featured on our wounded -- special back on July 4.

When we had a chance to ask him about his sacrifice.

Want to make it Dominguez.

Yours yours -- Afghanistan.

You've got a daughter Victoria and the first thing you said to the nurse.

Upon waking from your -- was don't be sad for me -- I would do it all over again from my country I love.

This country what does this mean to you I -- today as we -- an independent state people go to fireworks think it's about that what's your perspective.

I just think back -- all the great words before me that sacrificed.

More -- I didn't to give us the daily brief stay.

And I just want to be part of that and be part of this great nation and do my part as an American Citizen -- helping.

Fight the war enters a today -- Dominguez is getting an incredible gift that will likely change his life forever as well watch -- let's move.

That's right.

Take their flag back.

Okay.

Yeah it is a beauty.

Want to -- -- receiving a brand new adaptive Smart home today to try to help and make his every -- a whole lot easier that was made possible in part.

By these two men.

Gary Sinise is an actor and musician with the lieutenant Dan band.

And -- seller is chairman of the -- tower foundation and lost his brother Steven -- a firefighter.

Who was killed.

After he ran into the towers in New York City to help fallen in the moments after the towers were hit.

Gentlemen welcome so it's so great to see you both and Gary you are there in Temecula California where -- may -- -- the keys to his new Smart home today.

How did -- -- how did he react.

-- fantastic guy right here that house is right behind me one is actually inside right now -- given matured everybody.

In the house.

It was a beautiful day here we got here before the sun came up as -- son was coming out.

He was presented the keys to his home hold this flag back as he -- and it was just a magnificent that feeling to know that there was.

That that this was accomplished.

And so many people came together -- mean that tunnel of the towers foundation Gary -- foundation.

But there -- so many people here in the community of Temecula that came together on this wounded warriors have been just very heartwarming beautiful.

To see and then beautiful to see -- and Alexis in their home.

Absolutely and and you know -- all our viewers know these two men screen left and right worked tirelessly for these wounded warriors they work tirelessly.

Just to get them home in which to live -- home in which.

That they can live in a dignified way without having to rely on -- many other people they -- run by an iPad challengers are raise up cabinets lower down.

That house has an elevator and they just try to help these guys who don't want.

They don't want help they don't want -- they just want to go on live their life love America.

And so Gary what we saw from one in some of these other guys on July 4 when it came into the studio was.

Some -- -- get a little cheap fish a little embarrassed when you when you heap praise on them for -- -- for being heroes they are.

Well I mean there there average everyday Americans who just happen to volunteer to go serve their country and something bad happened to them and you know what's heartening is that there are so many people that have.

Reached out to help them I mean we're we're involved in a great partnership here Franken.

And I with a tunnel to towers foundation and Gary -- foundation come together with our building for America's -- program these -- just.

Easiest.

You know a handful of the warriors that are out there there have been grievously and severely wounded we're gonna try to help as many as possible.

We we do this by coming into these communities around the country I play a concert.

Not to raise awareness and and funding.

Two to help build these homes tunnel to towers is constantly out there on the move.

-- -- and taking care of all the logistics to get these homes built to you know we have to bring builders together and architects and I mean there's a lot to -- it goes in each one of these towns so at this as step by step process.

And today right now this is the end of that process where we.

Actually can give -- great patriot denigrate America like Juan Dominguez.

His special home this is going to be very very important for him for the rest of -- life is -- now on to the next several projects for us.

We're seeing some video from you know inside the house which is -- you can see sort of have a Smart technology works to help these guys.

You know it's so easy -- to look the other way it's so easy to say you know those -- a feel for them okay now I gotta go worry about my business.

You your brother Stephen seller.

Didn't live his life that way and ended in the end it cost him his life at thirty fours years of age.

Married with five children because he chose to run into the danger and help those who needed to have you you continue that legacy.

Today -- your foundation looking after -- the first responders and their families on 9/11 but.

The brave men and women who volunteered to fight the wars that that followed.

Yes I I think now that -- eleven years later.

Think of what Stephen did that day -- always saving lives and and the -- city still changing today.

Eleven years later because he inspired his family the -- foundation Amazon -- So many people help us we have so many volunteers I saw a picture when you would get we've given that house today it.

Net Wallace -- from Wallace air cargo he donated tremendous amount of money to -- -- -- 1000.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- It is the community coming together.

It is America coming together.

To make sure it today and every day we don't forget the sacrifice that was made by Stephen my brother and lost you know -- or five like you said earlier.

But all men and women in uniform of paying the sacrifice of making the sacrifice service since 9/11 a while before that but -- certainly.

Protecting -- so it's an -- CDS and see that my brother is great deeds.

From 9/11 is still spreading the message of of goodness today you know -- 9/11 changed us as a as a country.

As individuals.

It changed us and there's no question about that but.

What do you think -- it did it bind us together more than it changed us.

It it did it made us come together and and I think I could speak for Gary when I say this when we go around all all over the country.

And Gary does this -- -- we need all these great.

Americans.

Coming together to build not only these houses but to stand up for off.

Severely wounded in all along wounded men and women -- coming back the pain of big sacrifice.

It is remarkable.

To see admire her at its best and and this is what we see every day going to wrap around America so.

I I believe if it brought us together on 9/11 and and even know it is further away from it.

A lot of people still care and for those who are.

Remove from it.

That might have forgotten about it you see the joy and want to make this face right there when where and when Darian and the crew out that gave it gave not a house.

It is so important that we give back to these men and women that.

Paid dearly for protecting us for all way of loving the greatest country that after existence.

Absolutely Red Hat on asked Gary quickly before -- let -- go get some much gone on Gary you that you're in your famed.

TV star and and movie actor and -- -- lieutenant Dan band and -- for charity but.

For those out there who don't feel like they have the time who feel like they're too busy to to get involved.

How do you find the time what makes you do this.

Well there and that I'm Megan there's -- Probably seven several motivating factor certainly one motive was what happened to us on 9/11 -- and the people that I've met.

Since then I -- I have veterans in my family site.

And Vietnam veterans on on my wife's side of -- -- and have been involved with veterans organization since back in the eighties and then.

I've played one in Forrest -- than that -- -- disabled -- there so I got involved with the Disabled American Veterans organization and we got hit on 9/11 I just I just wanted to see it.

To take action and I needed to do like frank I mean.

His family was grieving made they needed to do something.

To to.

Seemed to work through that.

You know that the terrible tragedy in the terrible loss.

And for somebody like me I didn't I didn't lose anybody personally but I felt deeply for our country and -- -- deeply for our.

Our men and women who are now being tasked to go out there and and you know serve in harm's way in Afghanistan Iraq and I just wanted to do something and that was part of my healing.

The pain of what happened to us on 9/11 and since then I've met so many wonderful people -- met frank cellar and -- So many.

Wonderful folks that are doing good things out there that's.

Firefighters.

In New York City become very very good friends I met so many people in the military traveling around.

And -- once it once I started it became very clear that I was able to make a difference and that and since it's been very hard to stop.

You certainly have I known that.

You frank you believe your brother's life brought great light to those around him and it is your fervent wish.

To do the same in his name you have certainly done that -- you as well gentlemen.

Thank you both so much is probably best.

The global Dominguez -- -- tell our direction that there are two ways you can help donate to help out these wounded warriors here they are in your screen.
