-- well.

No.

Good morning from Los Angeles afternoon of course on the East Coast you're watching a -- techniques show -- at foxnews.com.

Oh boy we have a lot talk about today everything from.

A new travel website you can now find out actually it's pretty cool while we -- -- that this morning.

To what's going on in the Middle East and how that might affect us with our technology intimate things we carry around it.

How we're seeing some -- video and some of these pictures in just a matter of moments after it takes place.

So a lot to talk about today you can follow us on -- Adam Housley that's on Twitter of course you can watch -- here live on foxnews.com.

You can also comment to us on Twitter -- -- comatose on FaceBook -- under my name Adam -- you can also send in comments here -- get him right here in front of me on my iPad so we're ready to go.

To cover all aspects in a first topic is gonna be James Fisher coming to -- a road trippers dot com.

It's -- website at look at to a moment ago and it's just a mess around with this morning and I got -- until I travel a lot for the news.

I like to travel my -- -- my wife and a lot of my friends do as well.

And no one of the things we always talk about is when you get some of these areas you kind of have to serve a lot of web sites to figure out what's around you but -- -- -- haven't been before.

-- -- you guys got here with road trippers.

Exactly thank you very much so it's yeah that I think that's exactly the point.

We re trying to tie together several other kind of web -- so you don't have this issue way you have this fragmentation -- using various guidebooks.

Web sites apps all this stuff.

We want to bring everything into one place.

Yet and we have some examples of how this all can be brought in and it is it's a pretty.

Basic web site when you pulled up a stunning thing is too involved for somebody homes pretty easy -- it.

Plan out your -- and there's a couple of different ways you can follow things here we have a map here the first still.

Showing the -- of the journey this one is in southwest California kind of going through the desert region out here.

Into the high desert down below desert almost a down to the border right near to kotsay and -- back up to the Los Angeles area.

And then so for someone going online -- -- go on there they can.

They can figure out directions in the points of interest is along this route right.

Exactly.

And the idea really is that then they can book places -- -- book accommodation for the trip.

And ultimately when -- some level up quite soon.

They'll be that was -- navigate to those places so they went need to kind of manually plug alleged license a GPS or to sink and narrow.

Any other thing I I noticed was the the distinct description so for example after they -- this is -- those points of interest.

Then -- -- if you click on one they have the actual description of the of the area are the point of interest you might -- stop that we have a view that as well we can show you.

Here they gives you an idea of what it's like in the description of the death valley national park which is along the route that was just that we just showed you a couple of moments ago.

Yeah at city and what -- -- there is now working with travel rights is to give you like the official description of the place.

And then we'll kind of build on that by showing you like tips all reviews of places -- -- -- travel -- us.

And people could also find out places the need to.

And you had other things stood to do.

-- you -- travel writers.

Explain to me also as we show these maps again and all the different ways that people can kind of -- their routes great freer.

For maybe a late summer route right now for somebody wants to go to the new one of the wine countries around the country or.

Or are you down as -- southwest -- it's beautiful this time he of course the northeast has the fall coming all the beautiful color have changed.

He -- travel writers but I mean are you -- tied -- to like Google into Wikipedia and some of those hi I am getting all these -- and information.

So went outside into anyone yet we will find things like trip advisor to -- reviews.

But at the moment we're kind of building -- -- -- database.

Because we failed it.

On some of these other things like gave -- -- just almost too much information so we're trying to kind of -- and has trimmed down and just let the the quality stuff and -- independent stuff kind of rise to the surface -- -- -- Whose idea was is how long ticketed adult so like there's been no off people will the speech at a dinner and people -- saw Tonya how long does it take to build on what -- like -- -- maybe somebody has an idea in the -- not a how to take to put some linked together mean I don't know how long it would take for some -- like some like this together.

Well you know we were working on on the content and we starts working on probably the beginning of 2011.

So that's -- -- content mission has been underway for a year and a half.

But as far as developing the actual website diversity -- -- began in January 2012.

We have a team -- to developers working on my.

Now I noticed that you guys -- a different a number of different ways people can connect Tom on this website to Google+ to FaceBook that kind of thing.

But you don't have an app yet bomb obviously everything's driven by mobile technology later on this hour we're gonna hit -- half hour talking about the iPhone 5.

And then I receive android is doing so well what's that what's the process and that how far away from developing an -- So we expect to launch at Thanksgiving office versions -- level up which -- be -- time -- -- -- -- -- That sinks with -- trips that you found on the web sites on the web site and your favorite places a bucket -- we -- them.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- is an -- gonna be a free Applebee's I think that's -- yeah I mean that is a very.

Everything will will always everything it's going to be a 100% freedom road trip as will my money through bookings revenue.

So the app will be free will be available for -- I found it's and then we'll come to enjoy it probably.

The early in the -- yet.

Steve mentioned you make money during from bookings -- So are you are you tied in yet what some of the travel website specifically -- that's in these plans on the road or they will they be in the side.

So we're just working on that the -- -- -- on integration with -- different hotels.

Bed and breakfast are calling for bed and breakfasts so we can get here really quick way to -- in the book anything that you Salem over it.

And we'll be able to quite -- as you know will let me show you stuff has availability on the -- -- traveling.

-- you just don't need to see places you know that don't -- availability this I'm going.

So that's part of -- the way we can integrate.

What's the feedback been so far because again as I mentioned.

I I travel a lot my wife travels with me a lot we do for work and we also do on our own.

I know this is kind of a societies for us in our generation now traveling is is you -- of this fabric in more than maybe ever before.

Disgusting sort or so available.

What we what's the feedback been so far.

Well it really feels I mean this didn't really is spending a great feedback.

We've grown much much -- -- -- we -- we would.

We've already had about 60000 trips have been planned.

And -- to shed on the platform and just three months life.

-- yeah I mean it's been -- what what's really become apparent is that there was really kind of a gap in trouble tools for -- -- us.

Most who -- really focused on CTO at travel.

So we're kind of the first people really to kind of fill that gap I think you have Google Maps and things -- they -- that's lots of different -- -- not just travel and tourism and having fun.

-- -- you know we just about we just about -- and basically.

Knew we had us we have a chat this came into -- -- and asking how accurate is the information that you're getting is coming to -- from games bonanza.

You know builds a lot of the sites in the -- good point here she makes a very good point -- a lot of the sites are half argue -- outdated information needed on restaurants especially.

-- that's one of the far apart as you mentioned there's really no place to narrow things down you have to go to trip advisor you have to go to.

All these different places Yelp and -- kind of make your own map so to speak of we -- going one thing I really like about road trippers outcome is that it takes a lot of that away from you.

Awaits it and since it's all there and pared down so how accurate information preparing so much stuff down.

Well that's always I mean that's always -- challenge for any travel side.

Saw solutions that is a combination of cross referencing entries against other travel sites.

To see if other people have you know -- so maybe this place is closed down.

And then crowd sourcing so that's something with implementing.

Very sin is the ability for people to.

To marketplace if they think it's close down or if it's just.

Really no good enough quality to be on the system.

So we use a combination of technology and people power.

It to -- Crowds crowd sourcing and that opens like be called open source intelligence also as if -- gonna do more of a new set of things but.

You mentioned you -- the crowd sourcing a half is that -- becoming reliable mean.

Do you go by I guess my question is do you go by one person are you take try to fight through afford to him give you kind of oh yeah overall view of -- of a location.

So what how that would work is if places -- multiple times that Lincoln is up for -- -- So then it got -- an art curator this stuff -- -- check it.

And sexy this place because that's they have to manually -- -- but it needs to be flags enough times to make it worthwhile.

Yeah -- looking into it.

And warmer question I have -- is how do you do this is all -- do you have computer programs that help you -- some of these things that -- this stuff down are yet to go through and click on -- want to take a look at it.

It's it's a bit of both I mean this a lot of manpower but we've we've used some we've -- some software behind the scenes stuff -- -- -- -- as much as possible.

So we can.

We can get content in their very quickly we don't have to fill -- every bit of information we can kind of -- from various sources but a human being will always make the decision.

Yes this place goes on.

-- this myself in -- got -- James Fisher.

Road -- dot com great website we like it sort of puts you on the air had a chance -- -- -- again this morning look forward to using it.

Your apps coming out here shortly people keep an eye out on that -- will -- -- back on and see how things -- gold do the up.

Update for our viewers here in a few months and -- economical and given a run for its money.

Thanks haven't taken.

-- since appreciate your time.

All right so again we those road trippers dot com the first topic we talked about -- talking about the iPhone 5 unbelievable unveiling yesterday -- a few of the things that apple brought out that the markets already talking about.

We'll have that after the break again you can tweet us at Adam Housley you can go on -- FaceBook page you can also.

Just -- -- iChat right here on foxnews.com.

Live we already talked to one person had a great question for our last -- -- stay with -- will be right back.

With the iPhone fox.

I welcome back to dot com live here from Los Angeles it's of course the morning still it's 11:12 AM.

Once our weight to twelve on the East Coast and think about that for a sec has been a couple of weeks from the convictions -- -- on hiatus.

Howard and not talk about the iPhone by everybody Jennifer jolly he's joining us from San Francisco the big announcement yesterday Jennifer.

About the new iPhone everybody's talking about you know a lot of stuff was already leaked.

But it's still exciting the way apple unveils everything -- -- chance to go to this one -- but I saw the iPad unveiling in.

Few others -- saw the last.

The last publicly on unveiling given by Steve Jobs so -- it's always that -- you know that apple feel around of people haven't been there before -- this all looks pretty cool.

You have -- phone is cool the event was super cool and -- like you I've been to just about everyone that they've had including that last one with Steve Jobs.

This -- a little different Tim Cook came out and just dived right into the iPhone 5 you know Steve used to do a little build up.

To it and then the -- it'd.

With this whole rock star in -- as a rock star atmosphere but it ended with the Foo Fighters actually coming out on stage.

And performing three songs live so that was kind of that one last thing yesterday so it was -- really cool.

Now we've had -- almost 24 hours -- to get our heads wrapped around this new iPhone 5 I'm still.

Completely head over heels in love with that ice still.

And the one of the geeks out here are saying.

OMG.

This is a really special cool device I've seen some of that some of the geeks iron difference of course saying -- me you -- -- But I think we're looking at it -- next big device that all the other phones will be trying to play catch up -- But I think it.

Big things for us and -- security knew about the bigger screen of course helps apple that's not a huge deal because a lot of the phones already have bigger screens that does help the better speakers I think the big deal for apple.

The I think that the two biggest issues -- -- -- war of the the ability to improve the camera and video that's huge.

On both sides and front and the back facing camera.

And the second thing I think is a huge deal is it to me is this whole.

Passport as a physical past look past look right.

I'm not stir awards are you talking about the -- a card -- program.

I keep messing up the name know that that that the car -- the you can keep all your cards your travel cards your business cards your rewards cards all those.

-- -- I mean you got to carry that.

Wall around what you -- go to the bank if you go to.

The grocery store your rewards cards on your iPhone news show it to go in when you go to the airport to show it's it makes -- -- hassle -- things out and caring about aren't so much easier.

You're up against miners Lila I'm a big deal.

Yeah.

This is one of the things that I love so much about what we do talking about tax.

I have been covering this event inside now living breathing it in -- getting two hours asleep.

I don't really even know what you're talking about it and let me don't know Q about the new basics -- -- I can talk to you about the three pin connector.

And the staying.

For my personal perspective -- I actually played around with the new iPhone five for about an hour yesterday and I held it side by side with the iPhone for -- And I can tell you from having that experience I mean.

Testing Syria out on it testing video out on it testing to turn by running navigation which I know -- operators are saying hey what's the big deal would have bet for a long time.

Testing those things out this is the best Smartphone.

I've seen to date.

Reno and -- -- might have -- better camera well yeah certainly an apple is behind on the camera now it's as good if not better.

Apple's.

Amazing.

-- -- But now we will I think that you can -- take panoramic with the iPhone Forrest you have the right app committed -- up pretty cool.

We'll get back to the things like for you get into the more that cool bells and whistles -- his -- past look at by the way it's you keep all your cards in there it's amazing it looks like a really cool thing -- I.

-- -- -- I know it it'll be on the -- you have -- you have an iPhone four S it'll work on -- -- -- operating system comes out.

But quickly if you wanna get rid of your iPhone four so let's say for example have a -- iPhone four S I love this saying it's just great.

But I wanna get rid of it and I wanna get the new five how easy is it to sell and dent of take that money and in applied towards an iPhone 5 how did you.

You'd be really yeah figure you'd be really surprised it's really easy to sell your old phone right now in chances are you have the four ask -- not yet eligible for that free upgrade depending on -- your carrier is what your terms are if you paid full price up front no problem.

But we're all looking for a deal so I mostly.

Use -- GL YD -- -- dot com you can go on their right now.

-- -- site where you can sell and get bids for and get a prices for.

-- old electronics right now from the gazelle the next war it's the apple buyback program.

They're coming in at the highest at about 405.

For that fully loaded iPhone for -- so 405.

Bottlenecks for your old iPhone four S has to be in good condition no scratches -- remembered a wipe it clean you know -- glide -- all right you how to do all of that.

-- -- Q we're getting huge deals and right now people are trying to cash and so now is a good time to do it don't wait another week or -- ago.

You know I also the new -- the iPod prices which are really cool but I didn't happen to catch the new iPhone 5 prices was watching this online yesterday.

And our coverage also on our business and Fox News Channel on so if I was to turn in my own life iPhone four -- just in great shape no scratches no -- no marks.

-- -- -- fully loaded largest iPhone -- you can get.

If I was to trade -- -- -- four dollars sport from glide dot com how much more what I have to pay -- the five.

For the 32 gigabytes with a two year contract right.

It's coming out ads.

Does -- -- 1999 and I three hanging on pencils 400 -- are you pretty much breakeven.

And it LSU already have a contract then you're at after a year you get you get a discount and then after two years of course you can reopen to the hole before -- -- -- So after years probably gonna cost facing something like a 32 -- is -- probably cost what 300 bucks maybe 315.

Yeah I'm not exactly sure.

Yes it depends on your carrier -- if it but you can check Esther -- I'm gonna pull up by I have my little cheat sheet here and it's really a really easy easy way to check you can go right don't apple.

And check the apple upgrade -- web site so just go on and type in your browser bar apple.

Apple upgrade website you can also I have AT&T'S so I went on this morning and you just do -- Pound I have to use my cheat sheet for these -- it's all these numbers and my head that you that I do I think -- pounds six Ers star 649 pound.

And it it sent me text message and said you're not eligible you'll be painful price between.

Are you just -- to one of the -- restores are.

All right Jennifer jolly thanks for the topic at Tom still had -- -- talk more about the iPhone 5 when it comes out because I can't wait to get my hands on a metaphor that's awesome I love this thing.

I -- probably deal with the -- a little bit longer but I'm looking forward to the iPhone 5.

I'm looking -- yeah new operating system for the for the phones the new iTunes that they do they came out with.

The new iPod touches -- -- and a great great little unit as well so good times and for jive from San Francisco glide dot com and also apple upgrade website.

It's an idea how much it will cost you for a new iPhone 5 when -- -- and a answers -- a lot more we checked -- -- the -- -- -- Absolutely right Jennifer jolly -- -- for your time.

All right from simply just -- we have now moved to New York we have -- get our thanks again.

We have from San Francisco -- go back across the coast to to New York to -- -- senior editor with techno buffalo as well as Mike for spare from my laptop -- we're talking about it a number of things with you guys.

You know when we were talking about bringing -- on yesterday guys we were.

Had a number of different topics of one I think the wanted to bring up right from the top those because.

Of what's happening right now in in a new type of a situation we -- tie -- with technology and that's -- what we're seeing in the Middle East right now.

You know we're seeing the the video -- the pictures and they're coming almost instantaneously from these new devices that you can be found.

Really anywhere in the world whether it's an iPhone or -- android or my laptop -- or are -- -- of some sort.

On these these pieces of information we're getting.

Literally within minutes posted to the Internet and it's just amazing to see as these unfortunate things continue to happen throughout the Middle East.

That's compelling I think what's most interesting of courses you have the FaceBook revolution sort of in Egypt.

And now we have -- going on where there were threats sort of well of course it was threats but apparently organization on social networks.

And of course that comes down to having Internet access and the more mobile -- are the quicker you can get to the Internet so if you have a Smartphone for example your posting.

On Twitter organizing things on FaceBook and I think that's.

Both the good thing when it comes to creating freedoms in the country toppling regimes also bad thing when it comes to security as we've seen with the US embassies.

Yeah Mike what do you think about that I have to agree in.

And some respects you know we're seeing you know I'm.

An awakening of democracy as a result of being able.

To connect anywhere -- and broadcast images all over the world instantaneously.

From any number of devices.

And it's unless they have a real totalitarian regime.

It's pretty hard to you know block everybody from getting everything out whereas you know with -- major media outlets it's -- easier.

To block images from them say coming out of Libya or whatever but.

If you know some guy on ministry has Smartphone and can get it right up to Twitter FaceBook.

Well that's a lot harder to block.

We'll -- it a Smartphones -- is only had guys on of course that when you comment about and Baltimore continue to Titus and with what's happening in the Middle East it's just it's.

So interesting that -- way things have changed just a few years I was over there have been over there a bunch and and even if a few years ago if you want to get video up it it took a few minutes to go back.

Find -- -- fire hot spot loaded up through computer you know an Arctic he did get -- from your phone it wasn't very good quality so this with its new iPhone 5.

Along with all the new android as well it really changes the game not only for people doing it for fun but in -- situation much more serious.

We're worried about concerning to -- security concerns or the -- the change and democracy.

So I'll go with you -- first about the new iPhone 5 what do you think what are your first opinions well.

I think it's it's a nice evolution of -- Apple's phone.

I don't think there's -- thing that's overly revolutionary about it.

It is as a larger display for sure -- and that's keeping up with the -- really -- the android's.

Android devices.

And now it also has LTE which.

Who previously didn't and that also is another feature that has been prevalent on other -- during devices well so.

In in in many respects it's not breaking any new ground but it's really refining what was already a very good.

Phone to begin with.

Actually -- -- the one thing that caught my would you write in and makes very good point.

About how it's not really bring anything new into the game but it's it's more.

Refining what's already out there for -- as they seem to find a way to make it more and more consumer friendly I mean I mentioned -- and -- our last guest to stuff like that that really you don't think about sometimes but really makes your life a little bit easier.

Maybe that people don't care as much about the camera going from seven point two or whatever that both cameras matching.

But the fact -- you can put all your your rewards cards on one device and he does -- someone's life a little simpler when they get the grocery store.

For example.

Right it will always seen that before there's third party apps just like the panorama one you're talking about that -- -- -- do that but I think.

There are some changes in IOS six that you make it easier for the everyday consumer.

To use the iPhone for example the new navigation with Apple's maps you could also look at.

The new revised I was six notification -- -- can.

But -- directly to Twitter or to FaceBook.

Without having to open up the application itself.

The smaller dock connector -- I think -- be a problem for consumers who already have the thirty -- court.

-- a lot of their accessories so basically they have to body and if they knew.

But dock connector adapter for all of those accessories that they are I have at home and -- -- 29 dollars -- that.

Think he's a little ridiculous to think he definition of probably been packaged in with the iPhone 5 to be fair.

Yeah I was little surprised about that too before a negative about pricing -- but -- always have a viewer that is -- to me.

Since it did anybody who -- from what Randy liked being one of our viewers as is anyone who depends on their Smartphone really have a physically perfect one that's always a good question right.

It is a good question because.

No you know everybody that's why all the manufacturers are releasing phones all the time in the galaxy note to coming out soon that is a five point five inch -- -- -- And and really what they're doing is catering to everybody right now and apple sort write that by increasing the screen size but releases.

-- -- bunch -- Smartphones everybody can be happy with whatever you like I think that's a great thing right now it's great thing to have choice and anymore.

Okay let's talk about pricing what -- you guys think about the pricing they've they've laid out here you mentioned in between nine dollars for the adapter I heard it totally I don't see why -- -- had to change it but.

Let's talk about the pricing of the phone itself.

I share well you know I've won 99 and a further sixteen gig version time going -- -- three iron.

That's the same price as the Flores.

So they've kept things have pretty stable there.

Which is a good thing.

And it's pretty much in line with also would you get from.

-- devices to -- see in the top aligned devices for android.

Being around 200 dollars as well so that's good and then when it comes -- four -- they drop the price for that to 99 dollars so.

You know if you still one of it.

And believe me -- for SI have -- myself to great phone and you know now it's even more attractive at 99 dollars.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Even for those of us who have the Flores who really happy with it you know they do do a great job by creating demand and making you want that next piece of equipment that.

Apple's once again up.

-- totally and in a recent survey from -- found that 77% of current iPhone owners.

We'll probably stick with the iPhone and -- the -- -- much smaller for interviews and 30% entry so.

That's good for apple moving for especially in the sales perspective.

And I think people are still going to be willing to upgrade to the iPhone 5 even if they don't have a contract available so that the free upgrade so we're rather.

To subsidize upgrade so.

That's crazy too because they're gonna to be spending 60700 dollars in on these new phones and that just shows have -- apple fans are.

Rick could we have to wrap it up but really quickly I'd assess the last -- so if you if you have if you're at that one your point you do get a discount.

You know there's a full the full discount if you -- -- the discount right just a little bit depends on the carrier but that's just a little bit.

So system and cost a lot of money it all right it's not a Mike.

Thanks again guys -- -- -- front senior editor from techno buffalo.

And also my -- RO from a laptop magazine really appreciate guys coming out and we'll of course.

Didn't talk to you guys -- -- that new iPhone but it's our hands landed back on we can all talk about it have a chance to rest of the ourselves you've seen some of the pictures right there from laptop dot com.

Thanks -- for your time appreciate it thank you.
