You know our next guest he's inspired millions worldwide it looks like Tuesdays with Morrie and the five people you meet in heaven and now New York Times best seller -- -- Has released his most imaginative novel yet it's called the time keeper.
Andreas now Mitch album and it should know -- call with Doug that in time God's greatest gift -- Well you know it.
We are infatuated with -- that it seems to be racing past us you know everybody wants me more efficient faster on the blackberries and everything but.
I don't think we really appreciate time everybody I know seems to be dissatisfied and -- all living longer.
So I came up with this idea sort of the -- -- -- the first guy who invented time who started counting.
Way way back.
Came back and said it was a mistake.
I shouldn't have done it you know and that's kind of the premise of the time -- the first -- who invented things like this like this -- our listeners are accounting it.
Gets punished for counting time any sort of banished to have to live forever and see what happens as a result.
And then -- of coming back in -- time and sees this world where everybody is going insane with their time and he's forced to sort of teach one very young person one very old person the true.
Value of time and if so then he sort of released from his purgatory.
OK so your books usually to have these.
Monumental life lessons that people get the fundamentals kind of a big word but -- but but they're but they're short and and people like that I think and then than what they like better is that they get something out of -- at dance what's the lesson here.
Well there's a moment where this -- father time turns -- this older guy who wants to.
He doesn't wanna die Susan frees himself so he can come back years later -- live again -- look there's a reason.
That god limits our days here on earth sense of what could be the reason this to make each one of them precious.
And when you think about that it's an amazing equation you know we did get to live for -- nothing would matter because we never have to make any choices we can do everything.
It's because our time is limited and we never know today's going to be your last day that you actually have to make a choice is -- gonna spend my -- and gonna watch reality TV old -- -- gonna be with my family.
And those choices are what determine a quality life not how long we get so -- -- in such a hurry you know and do more and be more efficient whatever.
My message of this book you know behind this kind of entertaining fable is.
It's more about you know make in the hours count and counting me out and speak at a time and -- -- out -- that -- -- -- up against a -- break but stick around if you will mark FOX & -- two minutes.
