Got back everybody everybody loves to go to the movies everybody loves rent movies but sometimes you just on you here you see them get the wonderful trailers on television.

On some rotten tomatoes dot com I love rotten tomatoes for -- because I've gotten so much perfect amazing wonderful accurate information.

So we aggregate reviews from around the country around the world really from professional critics and we run what we call a tomato meter.

Which is it.

Measures the percentage of positive reviews for any particular felt so for instance Finding -- 3-D which is in theaters I can tell you is.

At 99%.

But it's a tough were out there because you know a lot of the a lot of times I know that he was he was definitely on the the higher part of the world the world scale.

But I know a lot of times critics can be swayed by things are -- we to be sure that.

The people that are you know weighing in on rotten tomatoes are actually -- -- -- we -- our criteria published on the site -- what we're really looking for is people who are writing.

Either they have an established site that they run themselves.

And have that referenced by other critics are for instance there's a guy named James -- -- Who basically has his own site and you know he's he's not publishing for major publication.

But he's been called out as a good critic Biden.

No less than Roger Ebert so.

You know at that point he -- to -- but you know were pulling in critics from.

The New York Times in the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times a major publications throughout the country.

We're looking for really professionals so you can trust that our tomato meter.

Is really made up of vetted.

Professional critics -- I -- but we -- also running user scorer next to that she could see.

How the average person reacted to the movie is well.

Yes see I had I initially when I first looked at rotten tomatoes I thought it was just you know and just ran in people who go and see the movie they're weighing in but I do it's it is interesting you have critics.

What makes a good credit because -- a lot of people out there's that.

I'm -- is what the critics have to say about that.

I think.

What makes a good critic is somebody who can.

Who can really kind of persuasively.

Or not persuasively at least.

It effectively argue their feelings about a movie and and how it made -- studio and do.

Kind of an entertaining analysis.

You know that people are gonna disagree I for instance I love reading Roger Ebert writing on a movie but I don't agree with him all the time.

But I -- like that he'll get me to think about a movie -- different way or I think he's a good enough writers that I like reading what he writes anyway.

So I think you have to be a good writer you have to be -- arguments.

I think you have to kind of be able to effectively explain yourself now you're not gonna convert everybody but I think if you get people thinking about what they see.

And I think that that's what's important I think -- that as a society we should be.

Kind of and that analyzing the culture that we consume and I think that that's -- critics play an important role.

I just I'm just curious and you know this is not your round you don't feel like answering it is tolerated just move on to the next question but.

The film that -- -- and you know that this film that has apparently inspired all this.

-- harassed over in the Middle East any comments on that.

You know that's that's pretty much off our radar -- That movie has not gotten any distribution you know we we really focus on movies that are going to be in theaters now.

You know when I can't say about that movie is it's it's a measure of modern technology in that if you think about you know twenty years ago before everybody had a digital camera.

You had to pay to get your film developed as part of the process of making a movie so the barrier to entry actually making a movie was relatively high because develop enough film.

It might cost you you know upwards of 4050000.

Dollars at least.

To do a feature length film just for the development cost nowadays for two grand you can go by digital camera -- -- anyone can make a move.

So I I think that you know this is -- you do not that people are going to be making this type of film but I think that the you know we're in a place now.

-- the barrier of entry really anybody who's got.

You know not even the resources but anyone who's got the gumption who's got the wherewithal can go and make a feature length film now we're gonna see different levels of quality as we've seen here.

But I think that anybody can go and make something.

So you're an aficionado -- just curious if you think are some of the best actors out there today you know sort of the -- of the modern the young sat coming up.

You know I I would say one person to definitely watch -- that he's not on people's radar now but as Tom hardy.

For the last few years I think he's been on a streak of putting it great performances he was -- lawless recently.

He was in one of my favorite movies last year called warrior which was awful lot of people's radar but McNulty got a Academy Award nomination I think that that was a fantastic movie I think he's definitely someone to watch -- you know I love that we've seen kind of a we're surgeons in the last couple years Robert Downey junior an odd green man he is dead yet he is just -- he's fantastic.

You know and I think that another one to watch you know again she's -- a big movie coming up next week.

I'm Amy Adams who's going to be in the amused when he -- trouble with the -- I think she's a fantastic actress.

I think we're gonna see great things out of her continuing.

-- -- -- -- Julie and Julian Julian Wright.

Yes she was in Julie Julie I'm she you know she's been doing a bunch of movies for a few years but I think that.

You know that she was actually on the office briefly.

For a few episode -- an actress for Jim Alpert.

You know I think in the third season third or fourth season you know -- she was in -- she's done a few movies.

But you she was in enchanted I think -- probably the first big movie that she was believed she was the princess the -- That Disney movie where's that cartoon princess who came into New York I'm definitely with -- to see more stuff out of her.

Definitely with you on the Robert Downey junior not that I would not with -- the other ones but I don't know their work as much.

But I I still love my Edward Norton still love my Edward Norton -- -- on his -- didn't primal fear was just like the -- is seen.

When you really found out who he was.

Actually yeah and I think we're gonna see him no more -- eyes well I hope we get -- city thanks so much for joining us today we appreciate it.
