-- the US secretary of defense now warning that the unrest raging across the Muslim world especially in places like Libya.

Cairo and Pakistan will likely continue in the days ahead and urging Americans to quote remain vigilant.

About the turmoil ahead KT McFarland is a host of Fox News -- Defcon three.

Judith Miller is -- Fox News contributor and Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter and author thank you both for joining us -- -- -- I'll begin with you but -- ask you but the same question do this as well.

You know what is causing all of this widespread.

Unrest in your opinion and where is it going to go from here KT.

What what is not causing a widespread unrest is -- -- movie.

The silly movie -- even a movie -- -- -- got a bunch of guys that I home video with beer -- taped to their heads and and dish rags over their heads this is not about that it is about the fact that a revolution as a three act play at one toppled a dictator we're now connect to.

An act to -- -- all the groups who it.

United to fight the dictator are now fighting each other and so act -- is somebody's gonna win here they're gonna get their act together and have a democratic government.

Where is going to be a more ruthless dictatorship and who's having an act two in their biggest world as al-Qaeda and Islamic militants are trying to hijack.

-- gee I would not disagree with a lot of that I think that the range.

What Bernard Lewis called the roots of Muslim rage go back -- hey Wayne Wayne long ago.

This is a part of the world that has been declining economically.

Socially.

Culturally politically when others have been soaring ahead.

Now they're able to express things that -- long suppressed under the -- -- cracked the United States supported.

Because it and it really.

It accomplished what we needed to accomplish in the Middle East and they're able to express these things and a lot of it is very -- but this is really really not about us.

This is about them.

Here is a war for the future of their countries and it's going to get very ugly and yes we are going to be involved.

As targets what about the the administration's response to August the Obama administration you have the big US ambassador to the UN -- -- On all of these talk shows coming out and saying.

That it is because of this YouTube clip as you -- -- he's not Nvidia.

I'm saying that that's what's causing -- -- specifically mentioning Libya you know where where the US ambassador is murdered a bomb went three others and she said.

But it's because of this YouTube clip.

What she says -- -- spontaneous season -- -- and if they -- well organized well planned in advance the little YouTube -- just as a convenient excuse you don't take.

A rocket propelled grenades and automatic rifles and and an automatic weapons to a little demonstration down the street.

You don't in the case of Egypt have Al qaeda's -- families in the audience.

As part of the crowd on video I'm video so that everybody concealing this is the brother of the current head of al-Qaeda was in that -- The Brothers of the blind -- -- -- these are not an accident and that was not set up by the movie and if there was set -- by the movie.

What's gonna happen and I part of the world when the -- movie comes out a couple of months and.

I think -- I don't Obama administration's response to I don't think that we know yet what caused.

The death of the Americans in Libya I think the jury is very much out we heard Mike Rogers.

From me congress today saying he thought he didn't now when he seen all the intelligence I agree with Kati and that it's not the movie but the movie was -- -- And you always need -- spark that sets things off.

I also don't think it's the Obama administration's quote policy is the Republicans say it's neither of those things it is a fight.

For the future of their country it's a power struggle within these countries and it's gonna come out in different ways in different countries so I don't think -- it's hard to generalize about what we're gonna say you know it Libya that there were at least four attacks Pryor in and -- some specifically on the consulate including.

RPG separate from that well and -- -- bet -- I want to talk a little bit more about the administration and this this perceived weakness on the part of America that's been talked a lot about as well.

Do you think that that presents a problem.

When we go into these foreign countries is their perceived weakness and nothing will be done you know as someone who's lived there a lot of her life I can tell you that I don't think.

People in Egypt are paying a lot of attention to our presidential election they are worried about where their next meals -- -- come from.

They are now worried about the price of fuel soaring as a Muslim Brotherhood attempts to cope.

With the governing a country with 85 million people with very few resources.

That's what people are focused on there and they are furious that their lives haven't gotten better in the past year since they've had their revolution.

That's what we're seeing and it's dangerous to go beyond that right now until we figure out exactly who's pulling strings what we do know president morsi.

Was asked to stop -- to make sure that this was scaled back by the American President Obama asked him to do that in a late night conversation he did it.

And no one was killed and no Americans were injured at the US embassy in four days later.

I completely disagree -- I want.

But I can't and with the Reagan administration and -- on the heels of Jimmy Carter having.

I'm very similar reaction to the pulling down of the Shah of Iran and the establishment.

What started out as a democratic revolution in Iraq and I became hijacked by the amounts.

I think it's the same thing that -- in the United States looks like we're we brought we're not getting involved like hands -- and so what do you.

-- starts unraveling and the united has becomes the target.

So I think it was all about the movie -- nothing to do with your own governance and you're not protecting our people I think.

It really bites more game things of this nature and future and that's what I'm worried about is that now be open season -- -- America.

Hopefully that won't be the case -- NA match up and I have to wrap yet thank you spending so much for joining us we appreciate your insight is always Greg.
