All right interesting story -- shocking allegations uncovered in an investigation.
By the daily caller web site.
And it reveals secret emails that reveal the Justice Department working closely with the leftist advocacy group media matters to spin news stories so -- on the banks on this entitled -- -- my Tucker Carlson.
He's editor of the daily caller he's also -- Fox News contributor.
-- -- Basically you've got to as spokespeople at the Department of Justice talking to spokespeople and writers at media matters which is a taxpayer.
Funded organization which is posted.
Monitor affair -- -- really at that at the media.
And they're going back and -- -- emails talking about how to spin stories right right.
And they're watching an awful lot of Fox News and reading a lot of the daily caller we -- -- we put a request under the Freedom of Information Act about nine months ago for emails.
Pertaining to -- and I emails between the -- -- affairs at the Justice Department and media matters and nine months later exposed -- twenty days but we received a massive amount of these communiques that indicate.
Direct coordination between the Obama Justice Department -- -- Justice Department.
And media matters to subvert.
News stories we have one email for example in which.
The writer from media matters emails someone to Justice Department to say I'm just I'm watching effect this -- And I just saw Bill Hemmer -- a story on fast and furious and you know how can we.
What we undermine historic astray and hit a straightforward news story by the way -- -- so this proves coordination.
I mean it it almost sounds like a media consultant -- -- sort of an independently paid group that might sort of help a media organization.
Find information but but the crazy thing about this it is as you point out that the Department of Justice -- taxpayer funded.
Media matters is taxpayer funded -- -- yet it appears that they really only have one motivation that the taxpayers all collectively are paying for.
And that is just sort of support one line of thinking.
That's exactly right our reporter Matt -- has been working on the fast and furious storing breaking story after story for the better part of -- year.
He gets almost no cooperation from the Justice Department and media matters which is not a journalistic operation which is just purely partisan -- group with tax exempt status.
Is -- not the moment to moment coordination.
With the Justice Department and this is a problem on a pretty basic level the point.
Of the public affairs office in a federal agencies to keep the public informed of what that agency is doing.
The point is not to come up with new lines of propaganda in order to cloak the truth from the public this is of this is a major subversion of the purpose of that office.
And when you really think about it you know you you talk about fast and furious we just did a story.
That showed that the border.
It area that Brian Terry patrolled is now being named after him his -- still waiting for an investigation -- a company answers.
As to what happened in all this very very serious stuff.
So it -- matters were sort of holding up what's supposed to be their mission.
They would want to make sure that they were.
That everybody was being held to task in covering this story but but it doesn't appear that there's an effort to do that.
Look a lot of things we call scandals in Washington really aren't this is people died a lot of people died most of the Mexican nationals but in at least one case in American law enforcement officer Brian -- as you just said.
If you look at these emails which by the way are on the daily -- -- you can see we have the primary documents there's you can you know the we're not spinning it's.
It is clearly a pure unadulterated attempt to lie about that it was in one case we have the spokesman for the Justice Department emailing media matters and saying in effect.
One that you do a story on this I just saw something on fox and -- like it and one that you attack it I'm sure there watching this right now that I don't think is any question about it.
So what we're Cisco from here you know I mean in terms of their fund -- If they want to be an advocacy group -- I don't think anybody would that it would begrudge them that but the core problem as that that there funding.
Is is taxpayer fund and.
That's they are a tax exempt organization and in worsening team that status.
You could not be partisan cannot be acting on behalf of a political party are advocating the election of a specific candidate and they are clearly.
Violating those criteria and I think.
The way to do it I mean if congress and there's been talk of this work to examine their tax exempt status.
I think they would find that they don't meet the qualifications of -- there's -- nobody -- world should they be a tax exempt organization.
It was a very -- saying I investigation.
And Tucker thank you very much for.
They kind of -- it out for us for this he has always.
