There governor Romney -- make it a new effort to woo Latino voters.

At an event in Los Angeles last night promising to fix what because -- broken immigration system.

And speaking about his own father's childhood in Mexico.

Sure I think -- -- number one issue for all groups of voters but let's remember the unemployment rate is higher for Hispanics than it is for.

A number of other demographic groups so the focus there.

Was the right one for Romney.

In that particular setting the Hispanic chamber of commerce.

I think 11%.

As the unemployment rate nationally for Latinos.

And -- if that numbers right then here's the next question we asked about improving economy creating jobs.

President Obama gets declared on a 59 -- 33%.

That he trusted and a better job handling immigration against 63% to 25%.

But come back to this unemployment number why did they give President Obama credit or were they not willing to go with governor Romney.

You know bill it's because partisan identification.

Among all groups has become very powerful in this polarized era.

Look here they are two models bill one successful ones unsuccessful for Republicans the unsuccessful model.

Bob Dole in 1996.

John McCain in 2008 they both got 31%.

Of the Hispanic vote.

The successful model George W.

Bush in 2004.

He topped 40%.

Of the Hispanic vote and Hispanics are growing every four years this year they're going to be between eight and 10%.

Of the entire electorate that turns out in November.

So this is a priority for governor Romney he's doing the right thing.

Although belatedly.

In reaching out to Hispanics governor Barbour bill.

Has said the last couple days that this is the number one priority for Republicans going forward to crack the Hispanic vote.

And this is also what we found and our polling.

President Obama 60% to -- around -- 30%.

The reason why -- bring that up because an exit polling in 2000 -- President Obama got 67%.

This number is lower for the moment what it would explain that is -- jobs economy.

Could be I think that's a reasonable explanation the the overall polling average right now though suggests.

Almost a mirror image of 2008 bill it's about the same percentage for both Obama.

And for the Republican nominee McCain and in 2008 and Romney this year and Romney has to change that -- simply have to change it if he's going to win.

49 days from now -- pick he picked the right group obvious panic chamber of commerce.

We do expect more that's the one.

Absolutely they would be most receptive to a Republican first of all because it means lower regulation lower taxes and the light.

And if they were excited about what Romney said they would communicate that.
