The United States used to be on the top of the world but now worshipping a lot of jobs to China but what if we could bring those jobs -- -- -- this morning is Richard doubt he is the chairman and CEO American Axle & Manufacturing it's 47 years experience in the auto industry and is the author of that book comes out today.

2010 it was 13% then when you take a look at the number of manufacturing jobs in the country.

And it looks like the Chinese -- the Mexicans are kicking our butts when it comes to manufacture.

Well when you stop and think retrospectively.

It all started developing in the sixties and early seventies and was exacerbated them by oil -- won in 1973.

And America as a society and especially our policies come -- Washington DC.

Have not been supportive of business and not been been supportive of what we have to do to be cost competitive.

We presently have well over -- 20%.

Yeah OK Richard then how do we get the jobs back and in this country well -- first thing we do -- we attacked an issue like good American society always is done in the past.

And we take a look at tax reformation we take a look at energy we've taken get a full comprehensive manufacturing policy.

That should include trade.

As well as a regulatory things we're spending one point seven trillion dollars a year just in compliance with regulatory thing student it's pretty hard to be productive when you have loose cannon he -- getting.

Numbers sure you know to political operatives not surprising to see the -- the United States over in Ohio yesterday and he was -- talking about filing unfair and trade practices said charges against China when it comes to auto parts.

What he waited tell he had done fifty days left in the campaign before doing that.

Well it's one thing to do -- time is more important news substantive things and policy -- again we need a comprehensive manufacturing policy.

And we'd like to get in there and help because we want to put America back to work we want to invest in America -- putter.

People back to work.

And there's no place better do it win then we're America's extraordinarily good and gifted him in the engineering creative innovative things.
