No father daughter dance at one Rhode Island high school district it's been canceled thanks to the ACLU.

They say that the school with his career against single parents Sean Gately is running for state senate in Rhode Island he's also apparent.

Well I guess last may there was a mother in a different school within the district -- decided -- file a complaint because.

Her daughter did not have a quote on quote male figure in her life.

Which was then followed up by having our our local ACLU.

I send a letter to art school district in our superintendent.

Threatening.

A lawsuit be saying that we are in violation of the of the law.

And that's -- date you know another victory by the ACLU and my school system about a year ago with the controversial prayer banner.

For an eye catcher.

-- let you know I remember there were number of kids in in my children's.

Classes who didn't have a father a mother and yet they still attended they had -- it they had a neighbor that some but somebody else essentially standing and it.

For them what why isn't that a possibility.

Com I well that is a possibility I just think that this is the local ACLU did what kind of bullying our school system and -- you know when we're denying our family and kids the opportunity.

Where it was a very simple remedy that Rhode Island that -- general law just needs an amendment to reflect title nine and everything would be fixed so.

That's that's -- where I stepped in and and researched all -- and came up with a solution and hopefully we're gonna fix it.

But the same time I think the ACL Liu is -- especially here in Rhode Island is just taking advantage of communities like mine that don't have a whole lot of cash on hand.

Well here's what they say the other BC you issued a statement they see this type of gender stereotyping only perpetuates outdated notions of girl and boy activities and is contrary to federal law.

Gender specific things like Boy Scouts exempts that a father daughter dances and stuff like that but you've got a law on the books in Rhode Island and that's the problem.
