What we know about the killing of four Americans in Libya including our ambassador.

-- all that is changing.

A top US intelligence official now saying the assault on our consulate in Ben Ghazi was a terror attack.

And Intel sources also telling Fox News they are convinced the attack was directly tied to al-Qaeda.

With a former gitmo detainee potentially involved.

In a new call on the national review editor Rich Lowry argues that it turns out governor Mitt Romney was right about the Libya attack.

He joins us now he's the editor of the review and a Fox News contributor.

You say that when I US embassy gets stormed overseas when our ambassador is murdered his body apparently dragged through the streets.

That -- to be potent debate before the two people who want to win the office of the presidency.

Unless one of them is Barack Obama and one of them is Mitt Romney what do you mean by that.

Yet -- I think the revelations last few days just highlight how ridiculous the media hysteria was over this two line statement.

That Mitt Romney issued an immediate wake.

These events and if you listen to the press that was the most important single most important thing happening in the world some people even thought it it ended Mitt Romney's campaign.

That he had put out the statement dissenting from water and the scene Egypt said.

And now you have.

The US ambassador to UN.

Going on all these Sunday shows and saying things that three or four days later are being proven.

To be untrue.

And there's been reporting about it people been poking holes and including Fox News but there hasn't been a firestorm and a kind of intensity would see.

If she was a represented as.

The Republican administration.

Out there on the Airways saying things that -- inherently implausible when she said them.

And now are being completely debunked one President Obama was running for president he was saying that if we would just talk to our enemies if we would just sit down and not be so arrogant -- that everything would be hunky dory.

What's going on now in the Middle East.

Yeah now look I don't want to blame and I am -- -- any American president for every event in the Middle East that this.

Every day what's happening there as a standing rebuke.

To his theory and -- policy when he came into office we basically believed it either showed up in the world and said hey I'm not George W.

Bush.

And -- a nice guy I really want to get along with the U.

That would make everything okay and we we've seen on stark demonstration that is that is utterly false and you can go pretty much country by country.

And a broader Middle East John and we are in a worse situation and we were.

Four years ago but up relations with Israel are poisonous Iraq is -- falling away in the wrong direction.

On and on an.

And yet this this turnabout from the administration doesn't seem to be getting much coverage you have Susan Rice the ambassador to the UN going on the Sunday shows and saying.

-- they were just spontaneous demonstrations.

Then you had to have a head of the National Counterterrorism Center saying all this was a plan the attack.

On 9/11.

And it doesn't seem to be getting much coverage are the media -- the tank for this president.

-- that's it it's astonishing no course they are and look John the very least she should have gone out and said it is you know what.

We don't know we just don't know we're still investigating but she was obviously desperate.

To push back on the idea of this might have been a deliberate terror attack in Libya.

That DUS government wasn't prepared for since she throughout this ridiculous idea.

As all this spontaneous protests were people just happen to have rocket propelled grenades and happened.

To assassinate.

Our ambassador -- you have reports that there wasn't even protest to begin with that it was -- attack.

Right from the beginning and he had the administration itself officials from the administration.

Using that phrase they're so desperate to avoid.

A terror attack it should be pointed out that you're not one of these who will back governor Romney under any circumstance you're pretty critical of him for that 47% remark that he may.

Yet Jack I think he'd he'd messed up a couple things you know he is talking about.

Three really separate groups there about.

47% of people -- -- support President Obama.

No matter what they're about 47% of people who don't -- -- federal income taxes for various reasons.

And there is about half of the country that I receive some form of government benefits.

These are not.

All the same people and I I think that's one big mistake he made and that remark and then I hate the idea of conservatives going down.

This road suggesting that.

Everyone who doesn't pay federal income taxes must be some sort of -- I socialist and we got to get them paying taxes for the entire country is going to be lost.

-- people -- are poor a lot of them are working parents with children who benefit from child tax credits a lot of them are seniors who have paid.

Tons of taxes -- entire working lives and now in different circumstances don't.

So I think is very wise for -- four.

Mitt Romney be out there now saying I'm in favor of the -- 100% -- and make things better for everyone and try to convince everyone.

To support me.
