The farm bill and the transportation bill just to name a few.

Senate Republicans charged that Democrats are not serious about passing legislation.

The democratic controlled senate has deliberately chosen.

In action.

-- Because over the past two years.

The democratic senate has -- in itself.

As an extension.

Of the president's reelection campaign.

Rather than a forum.

For solving the nation's problems.

Senate Democrats say when they do get a bill passed it gets held up in the GOP controlled house.

What takes two chambers to pass a law on the on the other side too many of the congress members.

Particularly the Tea Party folks think compromise is a dirty word.

And which side ends up compromising more one Capitol Hill watcher says depends on who wins the White House and controlled congress in November.

That may break the congressional stalemate.
