After Friday's prayers in the region and that is stoking fears that the violence.
Could escalate in -- -- mobs ransacking.
And torching a movie theater.
Before the police opened fire on those crowds there's some of the -- -- -- the reports are that one person was killed there.
Rick Leventhal joins us now he's in the regions reporting live from Jerusalem so Rick let's start with the latest in Pakistan.
-- the Pakistani government to declare today love for the profit day and encourage people to protest peacefully.
But that message was ignored by many the violence erupted in a number of cities across.
Pakistan including Islamabad.
Rocky and where several hundred demonstrators ransacked two movie theaters and set them on fire.
-- with police from here -- -- break up the crowd at some point police -- opened fire hitting the vehicle with a Pakistani TV station killing the driver.
At least eleven other demonstrated over the protests some of them wounded by gunfire -- number of police officers were also hurt.
In these clashes the Pakistani government actually shut down mobile -- service and country today trying to prevent militants from using their home -- set off bombs and apparently at least that work as far as we know mark.
So big concerns of course -- for the US in this region and we understand that our new precautions that are being taken what does that mean exactly wreck.
Well a number of embassies have shut down or or strengthen their security.
That's US embassies French embassies and others across the region in fact we've just learned from our team in Cairo that there's a protest now outside the French Embassy and that Egyptian soldiers -- there to provide security.
Outside that embassy no word of violence there but other embassies have shut down.
Including Jakarta.
And others are just.
Beefing up security we also now have video.
From Beirut where thousands of people filled the streets some carrying signs saying America -- terror and America does not equal freedom.
Put men on one side and women on the other.
-- this march following Friday prayers was in fact.
Peaceful we have one other incident go to tell you about how it happened today.
At the border the southern border of Israel that it shared with -- Gaza.
And Egypt there was a shooting down there and attack on Israeli soldiers who were patrolling that border.
Apparently militants using automatic weapons and explosives killed one Israeli soldier wounded two others.
At least one of the -- review was killed we have no information that -- -- related.
To these ongoing protests around the world.
