And that some.

Now for the top story tonight maybe economic guru Lou Dobbs has another reason why voters in Florida Ohio and Virginia are approving of the way the president is running the economy and -- yes.

-- to be with developed what he says I say that we need to look at a couple of numbers on -- and as you look at what is happening -- with food stamps.

That Romney's famous 47%.

Common -- created a great deal of excitement.

But the reality he's there is a touchstone in all of this that is absolutely.

I think moving this direction right now president Obama's favor.

When we look at the number of -- food stamp recipients when we -- 47 million right now authorities are from seventeen under President Clinton.

Well in and they had declined because of welfare reform and large red Ryder -- if you go back to 1980.

And President Carter they were -- that.

And if you take a look at the increase in our population.

88 million people in this country since 1980.

14.

Of them.

Would be receiving food stamps that's incredible.

But it is -- again a statement of the largesse of the federal government that is now being persuasive.

-- obviously a lot of people taking these polls because -- you set.

-- crying out loud.

Apprentice and went out and get a higher mark.

-- look everybody understands that there is a segment of the American population that's going to vote democratic because the Democratic Party is the party of the types.

We all understand that but that's been in play -- -- Ferraro.

Okay.

And in the beginning of this race when -- secure the nomination.

It went back and forth all right the polls went back and forth there's still a national Rasmussen tracking poll Obama up -- I just want.

But in the key swing states the right.

Governor I was losing ground and I'm not exactly sure why.

Here are some commonalities in that in the three principal battleground states right now being examined.

When we talk about war we're talking about Virginia and Ohio but all three interestingly in which President Obama is leading in Ohio dramatically.

Republican -- -- -- and elected as recently as 2010.

Rick Scott in Florida is an unpopular governor John Kasich in Ohio is a -- drawing even in the public view of -- -- a good job well he's done a good job but that isn't being reflected in his.

Old now why.

Why look this is what I -- when you -- the poll what Fox's exit poll and a majority of likely voters.

In those three HC pres Obama's doing a good job in the economy.

-- -- your head spin around it absolutely -- how can you just if you were a teacher and one of your students raises handsome mr.

dobbs.

I believe pres Obama's doing a hell of a job managing the economy.

That you would go why what do you point to see more fit that.

For that opinion how well and I mean what is there to point to it it just it.

Fire back that up -- playing the part of Seymour a five bay -- the fact of the matter is that there are some causal relationships that work here one is as I said.

In one instance on and on popular governor in Florida.

McDonnell who say he is a a popular governor but his his popularity has dropped dramatically -- he's sick is not.

We are watching a a -- -- three states in which the state legislature went Republican in 2000 -- What's the difference the difference is I think in part what you suggested.

And but it's because of the advertising of the Obama campaign and the answer directing into those three battleground.

Some may think it's -- -- Donald machine I'd absolutely Obama machine has gone into these states with a tremendous amount of money.

Has as advertised negatively against -- and you believe that the voters are being swayed to that but that's still -- answer the question.

-- have one component go ahead and that is intuitively you went to the Internet and the fact is that the Obama campaign is using its money.

I think -- intelligently.

And with great targeting and they've been on the Internet for a year.

Are okay no love me no doubt that Axelrod the boys in Chicago while running a very effectively campaign right now.

But that still doesn't explain why Fox News calls a person and mart off Florida which has almost 9% unemployment.

Housing market -- collapsed right is chaos everywhere economically and that person goes oh yeah I think president Obama's -- a -- -- on the economy.

For how in God's name he will ride -- -- conclusion if you living in -- you were talking about people being a bit distracted being sent off as the Romans did to the circus to distract them from the fact that there.

That the barbarians were at the gate.

That is precisely you're -- you're -- would make out on that part of it axle work -- saying that they're distracted there their -- their trivial pursuits are over riding.

Really important stuff.

That's that's one way to say -- I would say it this way the Romney campaign isn't Smart enough to break through they know the issues.

And they would have a line through the -- -- I mean that's his that's his chip sets the governorships are Lou Dobbs everybody there.
