Welcome back everybody it's a movie with a strong message the last ounce of courage is being praised as a film that stands for faith.

Family and freedom.

I kept thinking about my son.

Now was the time to honor his second.

And they are bringing religion back this little town.

Joining us now the director and producer of that film last ounce of courage and with them.

Is major -- Toledo from the folds of honor foundation.

Some of the proceeds from the film go to his organization good morning to both -- you.

Good morning good morning Kevin I'll start with few it.

When I'm reading about the film I have not seen -- you hear a lot about you read a lot about religion watching the clips it seems freedom is essential theme.

Tell us about how that's weaved in and what the stories about.

Well.

Richard Hendrick and -- Hendrick had an idea.

And it actually begin with the thought of freedom being this principle area that all of us -- And Darrell Campbell screenwriter directed.

The film -- me.

He brilliantly wove a story together that's an intergenerational story about the freedoms that we have in America where.

We're so glad to be with you all talk it about it.

Well again elaborate a little more on the story it's about a father who lost his son.

Fighting for our country.

And what's the journey he went on and why -- that resonate.

To people outside of the military.

It really will the reason is because.

As he's trying to find hope and he's looking for hope.

He realizes what my son died for you know I think when I sit and I'm I'm with major police though -- always honored because to do the patriot.

Who has sacrificed his life and given his life.

And -- put himself in harm's way for our freedoms.

You realize how cherished they are and the response.

People standing up and clapping and a movie.

If it's a little movie and and what has happened is God's blessing has been placed upon it for some reason.

Yeah it just really.

And feel good movie that people usually just walk up try to grab their cellphones and and maybe -- so that's a major at Toledo let me ask you why are people standing up and applauding this film when it's over.

Well as we always say at the folds of honor foundation freedom is not free.

And the foundation was started by major Dan Rooney in this movie has a lot of connection to what we do and that is to provide the spouses.

And children of the fallen and wounded educational scholarships.

And together we're gonna make a difference and we came together on an airplane.

Kevin and I and we talked about this movie because that's how we met it was interesting because this was a great.

Patriotic god.

-- that it had.

It does honor our service I lost a leg and I -- on August 17 of 2004.

And as I always look at things that.

What did I sacrificed for my country and what -- -- sacrificing now to get back and so -- just -- To be part of this great project and I asked people to go out and see the movie.

And also -- -- poll support the folds of honor foundation because together we're gonna change so many lives.

-- it's already made I understand two million dollars on opening weekend that's on just 14100.

Screens is this just kind of -- reminder.

To you Kevin a lot of people seem to forget about our troops sometimes they don't necessarily have been neighbor right next door who served in the military.

It might remind a lot of folks the sacrifice these men like the major -- It really really it really does -- points us that while we have freedom today to go to church or to spend time.

You know in the afternoon watching football we realize that these men and women they are sacrificing warriors for freedom.

Is -- such a great organization.

And -- god and country company.

You know -- costs entertainment is about family faith and freedom.

And courage and character and conviction and those men and women who put themselves in harm's way for us.

We can't say thank you enough and if we can -- in some small way in a film.

That that's what resonates I think with the audiences that are coming in.
