-- it is the ultimate insult the man who slings threats and who has called for Israel being wiped off the map is set to address the UN on the holiest day of the year for Jews that's right.

Running President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will speak to the general assembly on Wednesday -- Kippur holiday.

And now bipartisan group of house members is urging the Obama administration -- -- the UN to stop the speech.

-- Mike Fitzpatrick introduced a resolution he judges.

Good evening sir I'm tell me first of Bob what are the assets this resolution will go anyplace -- any.

Possibility of success.

Well first of all thanks for having me from Philadelphia -- we what -- -- to accomplish with the resolution is make it very clear.

The sense -- United States congress which is bipartisan which is very strong.

The president Ahmadinejad threatened -- resolution make it clear that he's threaten the safety security United States.

And her citizens -- threaten the safety and security.

Of the State of Israel.

And you've outlined some of these outrageous and hurtful statements that he's made.

Of course the last several years.

This is a man who should be included in prohibited.

From speaking before the United Nations at any time under any circumstances let alone.

On the highest of Jewish holy -- young the poor which begins tomorrow.

Congress is not -- session but we did introduce the bill the house concurrent resolution before it ended session last week and a very short period of time we have.

Well over a dozen sponsors if we were still in session Greta I suspect we have over 200 already.

But don't get me started on the still in session business because I think you should be still in session for you know a lot of other things to go out of the nation including our fiscal mess but -- -- leave that one aside.

You're up fourteen signatures -- -- -- bipartisan.

And I noticed that many of the people are in areas -- substantially -- Jewish constituencies.

I'm curious seven.

Where where's everybody else I mean fourteen is is all -- may be a lot in practical terms but there are lots of members of congress are a lot of people who haven't bothered decide -- to this.

What I suspect that -- we will get additional sponsors is as time goes on there's not a lot of time as you well know.

Coming from my district deaths -- -- in Philadelphia Bucks County Montgomery County Pennsylvania.

I heard loud and clear from my constituents -- I was on a conference call us on September 12 and September 13.

Talking about what was going on in Cairo Egypt.

And in Libya.

And my constituents were very clear on this particular issue that they wanted me to speak out.

He wanted to find other sponsors who want me to find sponsors for Democrats -- -- as well as Republican side.

If I represented.

Here -- is -- Sam -- Turkey was it.

We act in there is and I don't think I think we have zero chance of success I seen the hugely important nature of the symbolism.

-- America India but -- legislature or congress making a statement.

And this city -- this there is times absurd just point -- more than fourteen is because.

This is you know this is it -- that this is a sense of decency you don't have to be Jewish to -- -- a sense of decency and having this man who says MC horrible things.

Trying to get nuclear weapon of -- and -- what wipe Israel of the -- I'm surprised you don't have more than fourteen.

Greta you're right it is the right decent thing to do that's why drafted it that's why there are others who would join me I'm I'm speaking up for -- Constituents my Jewish -- -- who will.

I'm young -- they will be in their synagogue -- -- they won't have the opportunity to protest this man to man while he's being permitted to speak.

Before the United Nations.

But I thought it was the right thing to do to get a sense -- United States congress on the record which is what we've done.

But more importantly grad I think it's important.

That our president for our nation.

Either on his owner through the state department -- whatever means that he has at his disposal that he speak out as well.

He can speak the United Nations he can -- that he can ask you this speech be deferred.

Be delayed or or.

Terminated but certainly.

Not to be held on this coming Wednesday which uses you know as you know the -- -- Jewish holiday.

-- I think what what what we will see which is customary is that that members of our delegation will get up and leave when he takes two giving his speech -- thank you sir.

Thank you Greta.

Coming.
