With me now house majority leader Eric Cantor and you've suggested the president.
Lacks seriousness and leadership when it comes in the Middle East issue.
When it comes to foreign policy the white house calls is profoundly offensive.
State your point.
Well bill we we saw the interview that President Obama.
Conducted with sixty minutes have denied and in the interview I mean it was very clear.
The president feels we've made a lot of progress in the Middle East and that perhaps we've experience -- -- bumps in the road was his terminology.
Well the problem with that assessment is I think it misses.
The point on the ground in the Middle East it misses there have growing threat that our ally Israel faces and the reason as well as our other allies in the gulf by growing.
A bravado in Tehran.
And -- I think that again the president has demonstrated.
That there really isn't a central -- if you will -- our foreign policy coming out of the White House.
And I think most Americans -- looking at -- wanting to see more leadership.
Wanting to see America lead again.
We just heard Mitt Romney at the Clinton Global Initiative and I think that.
Governor Romney's statement there indicates.
That he is going to be very focused on America's role.
As a leader globally and that we have an obligation as -- most prosperous most free country on earth.
To be that -- for other freedom loving people as they continue their struggle to gain the same kind of rights that we enjoyed.
-- we're still working through this story was ambassador Stevens as you know by the day and it has been suggested by Republican leaders in the senate.
That if the threats against ambassador Stephens were real.
And perhaps written down in a diary or.
They existed between Tripoli and that Gaza -- that somewhere in the State Department.
There are cables that suggests the threat is real as well.
Do you believe that.
Well not obvious that information still forthcoming but I think that most now recognize this was a terrorist act.
This is also an indication.
That although bin Laden is dead Al kinda is not.
And that the threat that we face through the fanaticism and Islamic extremism coming out of the Middle East is very real.
And that is what calls for a strong foreign policy right now.
And it's something that I know that our friends in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are not very comfortable with given the threat today face in the posture that this White -- taken.
And frankly I think that our allies in the gulf states.
Also feel the need for more sort of leadership coming out of the White House something that.
Mitt brought Mitt Romney demonstrated just a minute ago that vogue article -- -- -- -- just just to be more direct your senator -- and so from Wyoming on our network last evening.
Suggested there was -- cover up.
With the State Department and perhaps beyond.
Do you agree with us.
Well all I can say is the initial response out of the White House after the assassination of ambassador.
Was less then.
I think acceptable.
To say the very least and this notion that somehow.
Saw the White House.
Not only ambassador rise but others on the networks throughout -- last Sunday.
And I and with imparting knowledge.
Or or a view that frankly did not and that's what the reality I think raises a lot of questions and a lot of questions as to where the administration's stance.
Why the security wasn't there in the aftermath of the death.
Where was -- security.
That existed why were other networks allowed access and in the diary uncovered.
By the ambassador as well all these are questions left unanswered by the administration and not think.
Reflect again a real concerned Americans should have.
About the commitment.
It's a leadership on the part of this one understood -- -- to put a fine point on this you're not using the word coverup are you.
Well again I wanna continue to see with the information that comes out on very very concerned about.
The the administration and its posture since the killing and assassination -- -- -- ambassador.
Eric Cantor thank you sir good to have you back in our program thanks -- --
