-- -- have local -- now we've got a lot at stake right now of course because.

What the president says is not sitting on some quarters.

Also love Mitt Romney -- is also.

Out without doubt about today's fit musically and with that and Clinton.

Global summit -- -- he was out talking about his foreign policy.

Goals -- initiatives let's bring in Leslie Marshall woozy after syndicated host of the national Leslie Marshall show and she's make a contributor Fox -- always great to see -- Thanks for joining us.

Good to see you and we also had a good to see you good to see you too we also he did McCormick he's.

Posted Sunday night with TJ McCormick at LA talk radio dot com and -- -- our studio history to have young -- well nice to see him.

-- -- let me get your -- reaction to the Obama speech -- -- at the UN just a short while ago.

I thought he showed great strength I thought he was very clear there were no apology is as the Romney camp and Mitt Romney himself constantly say I've never seen that apology by the way.

To the world.

For the United States is made it very clear that you know we go after people that.

-- -- -- Another individual is very clear that nothing.

Excuses -- violence very clear that we as a country stand by our First Amendment I love when he said that people.

Say terrible things about him every day and then he will continue to fight for their freedom to do so that's what makes America great that's what makes America different.

And he has been very clear not only in his speech regarding extremism he talked about.

Terrorist and how they have nothing and an order to be relevant they resort to violence and I thought in addition to that.

He was very clear.

And an end -- And and showing the difference between a country that can work now in in the future with the United States by.

Condemning those actions themselves other countries that I've done that since we've seen the leadership in Libya as an example of that do that.

More so than in the country of Pakistan to get an interesting dynamic very.

Interesting.

Outlined there about our free speech principles and why America.

The values them so much and why it -- we'll continue do so but.

I did file odd that he was bringing up the video again lose the film -- that supposedly initially that was said to have been blamed for a variety uptick in violence against our well you know when you've invested so much.

And hadn't been running a via a false narrative for weeks now.

And you know and you've got goalie all of your minions in India.

-- media doing their best for the to keep that narrative going as well as your ambassador to the United Nations he's got to back her up.

That was the most frustrating thing to me I thought he showed great.

American.

I idealism in terms of -- freedom of speech but -- to bring up that the video.

We were attacked on September 11 under this president -- this is something that I feel like I'm the only guy -- from time to time it was a terrorist attack on the anniversary of September 11.

In Libya on at a -- -- compound an embassy that was under blocking key security.

On this president's watch so -- and I would if anything I would have sort of hit it and moved on.

Again the false narrative that a movie that -- obscure little.

-- -- It happened and they -- I have to ask film.

Had anything to do with that terrorist attack is silly mess it's -- And that it was a little embarrassing that he was out there pushing that narrative again that was the real disappointing for me what -- you think eleven were you surprised he brought up the phone.

Again as a reference to a concerns about stepped up violence over -- the video even though.

It is clear now after some days at the White House finally says it was -- terrorist attack with -- the issue altogether.

Well abreast of all having lived in the Middle East in Israel in an Islamic country Pakistan.

I've been very different perspective.

And let me try briefly give that perspective.

-- first of all I do believe that there was a concerted effort by terrorists to attack the United States.

Quite frankly we look at our own history in gaining our freedom.

Why are we so surprised that when we assisted in eliminating Qaddafi there would be people that surface.

Their ugly violent heads who were not happy about that it -- September 11 that I don't disagree with TJ on.

But the masses of protest in Egypt and even the masses in Libya.

That on that day some of them and followed and in Pakistan.

And in Iraq Afghanistan.

Yemen Tunisia and -- Iraq.

These people have bought in two.

That it is this this movie in this video I think it wasn't -- -- the the president to mention it because he again reiterated that the United States has the freedom.

To put forth anything against any religion and that where a majority Christian nation number wise.

But that we denounce.

The offense of such not only a film.

But any kind of -- me about anyone's release a religion profit god.

Messiah etc.

so I I think it was a -- to touch upon that because the world constantly needs to hear as they have.

From the president and the secretary of state I also just want to add this a Presley 60% of the -- is a literate.

And having lived -- -- -- I can tell you there people there than ever heard of as September 11 Osama bin Laden they don't have computers don't have televisions they can't read they can't right.

They're unemployed they're hungry they're angry and a bunch of people in the streets say.

We're angry because the United States -- -- -- profit but also I have one more thing that we as Americans forget that in many of these countries it is punishable by death.

Not only to burn the Koran but to blast being of the Prophet Mohammed.

So sometimes we culturally don't understand.

I know there's never justification for violence for the majority of these people are being violent -- -- protesting which we have the First Amendment right to do I think there is.

Another aspect that is also getting lost in the shuffle here would choose.

And I hate to be the one to bring up to those sort of old stuff here but.

We also cannot discount the notion that the spiking of the football.

The indeed the bringing up of the of the death of bin Laden while a legitimate point to raise at at our content at the convention and a definite feather in the president's -- I think that touchdown dance constantly constantly GM is a lot bin Laden's dead.

That is something I'm not saying is the root cause -- -- -- -- that -- you know just that would however.

We hear nothing.

About that in the lead up to these attacks on us September 11.

That is something that is absolutely white washed from the media and that is and that is disappointing as well that is.

Do you think you hit it off -- in the administration and the Obama himself had said -- on after this had happened that they did not want to.

Politicize instead they didn't wanna -- more than it is and then.

You know it's now on in we want to see the photos today fat is out campaign ads it's another interesting -- that we -- a lot as far as this -- campaign exactly his foreign policy.

A background and experience absolutely a matter of fact I have I'm here -- actually conceding to the president that he was right.

I hear a couple of years ago I wanted to see the death photos a lot of people wanted to see the photos to confirm and we were scolded with a wagging finger from the president -- listen we don't do it better than -- we don't spike the football we don't do that.

And for three days all we heard was -- bin Laden now he's doing our tank.

And somehow that has nothing to do with inciting.

These riots.

I guess -- via the media is that the stenographer pulled -- and -- reaction to keep this comment about.

That and now I have -- this one.

Yes -- -- asking said the president hasn't been spiking the football won the Democratic National Convention historically as the Republican National Convention.

On you know what you're doing as rob rob rob a lot and instead General Motors -- live rob rob -- getting people to continue to -- to get out and vote may be some.

We're sort of like hand -- angry since 2000 Nene.

Hope and change message of clubs again.

The -- gotten overwhelming majority of the world did not watch the democratic.

National convention by the way T -- -- overwhelming majority of Americans didn't watch.

The media huddle we're running that feels good and reportedly so I would be free to the convention also of that film.

That.

As -- as a backdrop.

There are those who are very concerned right now that this.

President chose not to me would want reform leader during this week went all the -- in the world converge on New York City for.

The UN meetings let me into the body that he hasn't had -- face to face meeting with any.

Leader on the world stage.

This particular time.

I tell you talking about Netanyahu Netanyahu and or even others.

Well no I mean quite frankly that the the president has let you know packed schedule and the secretary of state.

Clinton is meeting throughout the world with world leaders there are a lot of behind closed doors meeting.

So that weekend.

You know squelch this violence and move forward.

You.

It is in unity as a world -- for peace -- and what we speak to the with regard to Benjamin Netanyahu.

I don't think the president really needs to speak with them -- historically presidents tackle.

Israel in the Middle East peace crisis which is continued sit you know then abruptly let me let me ask their forgiveness and a second term commitment from this is a very.

Pivotal moment right now there's so much going on overseas in the Middle East right now we've had so much unrest over the last couple of weeks.

I don't think even for the sake of showing even for a photo -- just I think they're just to show that the world that fact that these two people are maybe coming together or the president and the president Egypt.

Trying to get something together to.

Show that they that initiative being done yet secretary of state Clinton is behind the scenes working to -- these individuals but it does say.

Speaks volumes when you see the actual head of state.

Engage in these meetings as well.

Well -- -- the -- a lot by hearing you.

What is that what we're really about we need results we don't need.

I just publicity the -- the president has spoken on the phone numerous times.

To the leaders of Egypt and Libya Pakistan on he shared that.

I'm shared some of the conversation and we're not privy to all the conversation and this is an area where maybe transparency in not having transparency is a good idea.

I don't think it's necessary to have the photo op at this time.

Because that's not going to lead to our goal which is to stop the violence -- have been worked for it globally.

I think something is coming to the -- that a lot of people -- said about President Obama going into this administration your early days of his administration something that has.

-- -- a deadlock here at home on domestic issues is starting to apparently show itself internationally if the president does not the most.

Relationship building Fella in the world of politics and his own people say people -- -- camp people on Capitol Hill he is not the kind of guy to reach out and you know I'm glad hand fellas and -- you know.

-- and it's it's starting to show and I think this is indicative but he has time to go and yes it's a bit cliche I hate being back here and cliche and trite and talking about him going on Letterman and -- on the deal and also but not having time.

You know apparently his schedule today has -- making his speech.

And then get out of there and not spending any time -- all going right over to the Clinton initiative and and that thing uses that you know what.

A lot of times I heard I heard elsewhere this morning that there was one person in any diplomatic community who said.

-- when Obama shows up -- -- -- and foreign country gives a speech.

He considers that to be the diplomatic.

You know handshake that that's his time there and that's it he's got media doesn't spend time building relationships and apparently especially in the Middle East especially in the Middle East it is all about personal relationships and and that's what -- said he was gonna do we didn't do and apparently.

He just doesn't like -- look -- doesn't have those that skill set.

To do it as opposed to a guy like Clinton who it is today it's still out there glad handing.

Whole -- world.

-- -- using the different styles of these -- leaders indeed let me have a lot of politics for the moment national positive and six weeks away.

From of the big event from big Election Day and we one week away from the debate -- do you feel that if Mitt Romney is really going to.

Have you -- of -- it is he's really gonna have mistakes in this race that he has to do wells.

Right out the back on the big debate next week for that went with it whether or not he's his performance is gonna determine whether that is in or out at this point.

Well you know -- Lee I would say the debates don't really matter the majority people of made up their mind that we look to.

Former three debates the John Kerry and George W.

Bush.

The majority of Americans that John Kerry won those debates the majority of Americans that they would vote for George W.

Bush why because they could have a beer with them.

What these debates do with the race this close -- I do believe even though it's a very small segment of the population voter population left that hasn't decided.

Could be the deciding factor for some.

And it's going to come down to.

Not only experience.

But like ability I do think Mitt Romney needs to be very careful.

Three out of a -- three out of four Americans do not feel that they can connect with him or they can connect.

That he can connect with them and in addition to that a lot of times when he speaks he has -- this elitist attitude.

And we have seen high -- not work in America John Kerry is an example of that.

An -- -- better be careful I mean he's an intelligent man.

And he can debate well.

But president -- a very intelligent man you can debate well.

And he has experience so normally I would say the debates when it mattered this time around I think -- out of more with the race so close.

A recent poll has.

Mitt Romney.

With a fourteen point lead.

And -- in the middle class.

In fact I think says a lot what we're used to our politicians.

-- a heck of a lot more -- -- we are.

Another conservative is coming from the headlines I've I've I've got taken out wallop.

Economically financially -- -- no elitist myself not any way shape reform I'd love to be -- -- -- -- that -- can -- I had my nose -- here but right now a -- to the grindstone guy anyway.

Point being it -- that the president has had he has had his elite moments to get it let let us not forget that in.

-- -- one night in Hollywood he raised more money than Mitt Romney had done the previous month.

He spent time here revenue rubbing elbows with Anna wintour middle of the goodness.

And hey you know a little MJ he gets what they both have their -- moments however there Mitt Romney is in fact the scoring points with the middle class.

If people are identifying with him if anything because.

But he has not been the guy is in charge at number of people wondering -- does Barack Obama earned the right to keep the job and apparently.

Not every once inside this is big and yes agreed that more football than I kind of don't really get too much weight to be debate at this time -- first debate what it's all on Romney.

I think I really both I think we'll have to see how that goes in the first few few minutes will will determine an envelope yeah there was a real sense of where things are headed are right both of you thank you so much for joining us -- at a time Olympic if you let it play.

-- thank you anti daily magazine as well as.

Thank you thank you didn't hear for yourself are.
