Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently saying that Israel has quote no roots.

In the Middle East.

He has notoriously called for action to wipe Israel off the map he is also said that the US is acting like a quote bully in the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program.

I'm joined now by Chris -- yeah he's the executive director of outreach for Iran at 180.

Which is a movement that calls for stopping Iran's nuclear ambitions Chris welcome good to have you here good to be with him.

So -- -- -- -- that is called -- he's -- he's gonna talk about a new world order when he is at the UN he's always good for some -- sort of over the top quotes that this is serious stuff.

I think.

You know whenever Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gets up to speak before the United Nations we can be sure that we're going to be treated to.

A speech that's full of by Ole lie is conspiracy theories.

Outright misrepresentations.

Of the truth and I think today is gonna be no exception to that rule.

Just think of President -- -- -- talk when it came to what he said about Iran is that we we will do what we must to prevent nuclear weapons from.

You know being able to be created in -- I think that the president made it.

Clear that the policy United States.

Is that Iran will not be allowed to acquire -- nuclear weapon -- he said that the preferred.

Pathway.

To that end is diplomatic but he made it clear that diplomacy.

Cannot be used as a stalling tactic indefinitely by the running regime.

And I think that it's clear that today while he's in front of the United Nations that it's important that the international community.

Convey a message to him.

That the United Nations itself has repeatedly demanded that Iran.

And it's uranium enrichment activities and that it provide access to the international atomic energy agency.

To any and all sites that it wants access to.

President Reagan had an excellent dictum.

Pertaining to.

Relations with the Soviet Union.

On nuclear issues he said trust but verify and I think with you Ryan's you have to take that even a step further -- don't trust until we've -- And in the absence of the studying.

That access we won't be able to do that.

What about Israel there are those who think that they will act.

And that back could be imminent in terms of perhaps than a military strike taking out some of these facilities.

Listen it's it's certainly a possibility what I think is important at this moment while we have focus of the world.

On present -- -- in the Ryan versions policies in this regard.

That.

A clear message be sent and by countries.

The world over that Iran's nuclear policies and their human rights policies are unacceptable.

We have a regime here that's assisting the Syrian regime materially in the killing of what the UN estimates to be over 20000 people -- the last year.

A regime that locks up with impunity.

Political dissidents religious dissidents.

People who don't see eye to -- with this regime and I think it's important that we let -- -- up -- it and know that he is unwelcome here in New York thank you very much -- you know.

Our thanks thank you office.
