Some conservative leaders and media personality is now saying the public should switch off what they describe as the biased news media.

They signed a letter from the Reidy a Media Research Center claiming there has never been a more brazen attempt by the liberal news media to decide the outcome of an election also writing quote.

To put it bluntly you are reading this election and taking sides in order to pre determine the outcome.

Let's talk about it with Angela McGlowan Fox News political analyst Peter mirrored -- and is former advisor to the Clinton gore campaign.

Peter do they have a point.

And John I think we've been debating liberal bias in media at least as far back as the Lincoln Douglas debates.

Look this is a tried and true accusation that comes out I mean the fact of the matter is.

That they would the media covers the horse race they covered the gaps unfortunately the Romney campaign has had more gaffes lately.

We can argue whether or not the campaign coverage has been -- -- -- enough.

I would agree that it probably hasn't.

But the fact that this you know aspect of the of the campaign is being raised now.

Shows a little bit the desperation I think that you know then there's discussions about what the poll numbers are accurate or not.

I mean the fact is the Romney campaign needs to stay on their message and they haven't done that.

-- -- he says there has been you know coverage of the gaps some would say that if Vice President Biden makes a -- it gets sort of swept under the carpet if Mitt Romney says something -- its front page news.

-- no question that you do have bias in the media and my counterpart is right is been happening for a long time does pat and ports.

Lately and what you hear the press that the president is only met with his jobs council once since January when you hear that the president with the attacks.

And didn't -- nothing he won't come on say that they were truly terrorist attacks also the president -- set about.

He did not come out publicly he did -- hold a press conference in saying that let you not know the president is pretty said that me finish please can I did not interrupt here.

When he was here in the -- mainstream media that the president's jobs they know where he says Republicans are blocking him.

That is own Democrats voted -- the senate and one last one.

That's a doozy that Harry Reid has not put forth a budget in three years so basically journalists today.

That do -- reporting actually doing themselves.

A disservice in their trade I mean this is an election year -- people tune into the news to be in.

We we just got those GDP numbers out today Peter one point 3% growth.

In GDP in the in the most recent quarter that's a horrible number are the media reporting.

You know John and -- we can you know would discuss -- it's a legitimate question you know I think.

And area of the economy certainly has not been improving at the rate that we would all like to see improve.

And you know GDP numbers are surely an indicator.

But -- you wanna go back -- initial premise here which is the coverage of the campaign and it's very hard and you know the sun hung on your network.

I mean the campaign's move so fast.

Either events going on all the time it's very hard to take a step back into the sort of analytical stories not all about the horse race.

-- well I would argue that it is and you watch the coverage of -- -- -- work and that and that that is the case.

And it including the network -- -- -- At the end of the day what's gonna happen is that both both sides are gonna try to exploit the gaps of the other and they're going to try to spin their way not -- I'm not true -- and even his job is -- refereeing that even that's exciting unprofessional journalists at code of ethics say that you're supposed to distinguish between.

Advocates see.

And true journalism news reporting.

And the best journalists is when you meet their story are you here there reporting and you can't tell what party they affiliate with.

That's a sign of the good journalists and if you want -- I disagree with the premise.

That this has been a widespread phenomenon I think it's a tried and true accusation that comes out every now and then about the liberal bias in the media.

George W.

Bush should not -- friendly -- the last time I checked.

He was elected twice so I don't think the fact that the -- been biased to the left does impact of this campaign I think the Romney campaign is their own worst enemy.

-- I -- -- -- today it's worse than ever before where people are blatantly out.

To protect this president.

And not give true reported on -- real.

That's a subjective analysis that's regular season you definitely Daniels I didn't -- armor blatantly false she example won't -- awful you know what this summer.

Strange and the fact that the president not hold a press conference who announces it the fact that this was a terrorist attack that does not.

I -- I don't know publicly do you did and he said publicly not -- -- press congressman but for now there.

-- -- did what it has been uncovered by our bread -- just today that the administration within the first 24 maybe 48 hours knew that the Ben -- attack.

Was a terrorist attack and yet Donna Susan Rice the ambassador to the United Nations.

Was out on the Sunday shows 45 days after the attacks saying that it was saying there -- job spontaneous event.

Will Wright John -- frankly I don't know enough about the sequence of events the comment on that -- I think it gave the fact is the administration probably was.

Tried to be more careful then.

Then in their response to that the news cycle.

I truly my reaction to -- -- -- -- not you're dealing with real Harry Reid and the budget.

As an actual deal with the president and -- Republicans in this or not just auction this -- -- the democratic agenda we don't.

I assure you wasn't true I said that there -- Republicans and Democrats have fought on the hill and Harry Reid is done things -- Mitch McConnell of as -- And we are going to let the viewers decide for themselves about the rest of this one -- you guys argued it pretty well Peter -- Cheney and and whistleblower.

Thank you both thank you.
