Our viewers know you very well as a contributor also a writer for the American conservative magazine.
And very knowledge of men on the media.
Thank you and we're gonna talk about.
Bias in the media of course.
I was as you do on -- if we get we arrows and M and Saturdays on FOX News Watch it right answers at 3 PM on each and -- and we -- Sunday now.
And it's a full -- -- and -- Pegasus so much short -- coverage to coverage.
Libya's been in the news for obvious reasons and what is your take on the media's take on this story well I think that the media have.
Been happy to accept the Obama administration -- -- -- -- this I think because they're supporting.
In the presidential campaign and I think -- to begin with and -- especially wanna see Barack Obama -- -- impact Goodell was another fox contributor has said many times that.
Barack Obama's getting a better press and Jimmy Carter -- another democratic President Bill Clinton ever did this the Obama administration.
From the get go tried to blame the attack on the consulate in Benghazi Libya that is part of this uprising these protests about this movie that was on the web.
When in fact according to the latest reports they knew within the first few hours that this was in fact the terror attack on the anniversary of 9/11.
-- -- ambassador in three other US staffers.
Right and and now it's seventeen days later.
And we're also kind of piecing it together I mean whenever I think we -- another story right now but the thing is.
If the news it down on 9/11.
Had been do you -- that -- bomb bomb administration was sitting there unguarded and ambassador got killed them embassy or whatever has got sacks.
Mean they were ready.
Of all the dating is ever to be ready for.
Terror attack and they weren't ready for -- that would -- terrible headline and really really bad for them.
The suggestion is that the Obama administration.
Decided not to call it a terror attack because they didn't want to appear soft on terrorists and I'm prepared.
-- prepared but also.
Could be did they have a reputation for -- revision after the killing of Osama bin Laden as an administration that is tough on terror right.
And yet on the anniversary of 9/11 right.
So I think we really got -- they didn't want that it may want oh no it was some movies some guy in California made that did it that's a much different story that if -- shifts the burden of guilt of blame if you will from the Obama administration to some guy California.
-- from the Obama administration point of -- including his reelection campaign that.
That's much better the narrative continued for days if not more than a week after.
Right and why why would they try to maintain a story that clearly -- holes and falling -- because they're getting Toyota.
And now if if look if if some impressionable swing voter says OK here is on September 28 well you know there's still going to be some of the and it looks like it was terrorism.
And the Washington Post -- front page story today has a bunch of theories and speculation about it wrong and I'm sure all of -- our crew.
-- because it well OK fine it's old news.
If -- 9/11 and then on the on the the pay if you will of nine -- -- while.
Administration caught flat footed unprepared for terrorist attack -- -- and a terrible headline.
Instead now is kind of -- we had enough a few reporters and there are chasing after the story trying to make the point and so on and so on saying look in -- -- they knew within a few hours.
But for the most -- most.
Media conversation has moved on to what you're saying it's.
This was a brilliant strategist and it was it if you if you are the boxing fan you know what -- with openness and it works and you know Mohammed -- was sit there like this he couldn't punch in the face he just didn't want to hear all the time and he in boxing you get tired really quickly and -- he still can't quite frequently when you're now that are coming.
And -- you.
And they work for it made him a broad national world champion so it's a pretty good strategy to implement it does take the media.
-- -- -- The media doesn't say well let's just finishing question could be terrorism could be -- -- it could be riots could be both -- as an enemy that big bucks and then meanwhile orders tomorrow.
The -- kind of -- and a and a deliberate stupor about what a coupon in addition doing they're they're clobbering Mitt Romney on how dare you.
If -- state what about the -- This is a case that being handled by the FBI their hand on the investigation.
And it in the first hours and -- after the event.
It still wasn't clear exactly what happened.
And they needed to let the investigation take its course before they announce to the world what in fact there have learned about it what it really was.
That that's finishing argument if it were true.
You know maybe as you said is invalid what evidence they knew within hours.
That it was a terrorist attack and they kept.
Jay Carney and Susan Rice and -- -- I don't know what with it probably was dirty -- the -- who knows what it wasn't Tara banks is racist is it really wasn't terror right.
Well again that's good that's that's throwing up pixie dust in the air and hoping people no don't quite see the real sure how.
How do you think -- the media would have treated this had it been -- Bush Administration.
Spinning the story the way that will probably -- you don't have to think about that because look think back.
2 when the revelation came out that that President Bush have been briefed on August.
In August of 2001 a month before 9/11 about you know the -- -- something like bin Laden attack plans -- -- it didn't say where did say when a disorder you know and that can end.
The meteor all of that -- that led to the 9/11 commission that led to me you know years' worth of headlines and hearings and story just rise to that level well.
Did the terms of the number of people killed no.
But it is in terms of will look the Bush Administration could plead looked who'd ever heard of anything like this from.
You know nobody even dreamed that -- crash airplanes into buildings like that.
Now I mean every.
President you know from the next hundred years -- facility -- September 11 this could be.
There's -- time to double down on security and they weren't ready.
And one of our viewers rights case in point all weeklong MSNBC's morning Joseph spent every possible second of the programs -- one topic.
Can you believe how -- a candidate Mitt Romney years they have not devoted 12.
To the two week unfolding in Bolivia disaster and I don't know those.
It does is it completely accurate we appreciate that I.
ABC ABC news another another network at David -- David Muir wood would -- had an interview -- I think Wednesday night.
And then the -- is the middle ballclub is at now is finally coming into.
Realization when it happened and so David David -- -- -- questions and rode around the world -- your campaign behind what authorities have been others.
They're what they're not -- and is saying she lives do we as you said the ordinary to do we connected -- here and I think that.
Did the State Department involved founded the National Security Council Paul -- is somebody they know they're there in this.
And they're not interested in creating that you know post headline at all of Obama under pressure because of revelations about Libya said it's probably under pressure -- of well I'm sure if you shoot the headline -- this is it a whole overall just a cover up towards it just clouding of war or.
-- -- direction.
You know -- has that kind of legal analyst element to it and and -- got -- and -- certainly happy if I -- -- and I I would be content.
To pronounce a cloud in this direction supposed to cover about it is I'm not aware that they're actually.
Hi -- information.
That should legitimately be put on the other hand last Saturday as -- thing about this more the hill newspaper.
I had a had a headline you know Republican senators outrage about briefing this -- on senator corps -- respected guy Lindsey Graham.
Background whether it on the net and another US senator also if you would you know we -- learn anything.
That would should they get into that won't say that doesn't prove cover up -- simply proves they're not trying very honored to share.
With the congress as to what happened in Libya and and I think the reason is -- -- you know and then this be cynical about it.
If that was that handed Republicans and -- you -- like -- you know view is we've we've we've -- -- -- -- -- and -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- two seconds -- -- -- -- -- mr.
sitting on it and counting on the media not to hit him too hard and I'm I'm guessing that this is going to be a big topic you know -- -- -- show this weekend.
It's 3 o'clock Fox News Channel right Jim Pinkerton thanks very much for being here you see -- Fox -- -- hosted by John -- 3 to 4 o'clock this Saturday eastern time.
