State by state surveys conducted in August showed that in Florida absentee ballot request by military personnel were less than half the 2008 total.

In Virginia there at about 1% of the 2008 levels.

And in Ohio in North Carolina this year's requests are about 110 of those seen for years ago the Pentagon's inspector general found recently the DOD relies on sketchy data to assess its own efforts in this regard.

And at the Pentagon has not spent the estimated fifteen to twenty million dollars per year needed.

To establish the voting assistance offices the DOD is required by law to set up at all installations.

The acting director of the relevant DOD office told Fox News that office is complying fully with the wall.
