Two US Border Patrol agents are shot in Arizona one of them was murdered.

And while little else is known about the shooting we do know it unfolded near -- Border Patrol station that was just name.

-- Martha -- is a very small to quiet border town 80000 people mostly ranchers about a hundred miles southeast of Tucson.

Those basically moving drugs mostly cocaine and marijuana that increasingly methamphetamine and heroin.
And those trying to steal those struggles those are known as -- crews so the Border Patrol substation has increased from a hundred.
Agents in just the last several years to combat this threat.
Early this morning to weigh -- Three agents were -- patrolling one was shot fatally another was airlifted to a nearby hospital would not threatening shots to his leg into his hip.
And a third was not hit.
Now there -- several types of agents in this area.
Number one you've got the guys -- controlling their suvs when they see -- were alerted to a group of illegals -- drug smugglers by sensors or cameras though get out and attempt to interdict Adam -- Then -- those vortex tactical units who -- -- are dropped in by helicopter.

And then finally you have those on horseback -- we're told that these agents were on horseback patrolling.

And that is when the activity really picks up the temperatures drop.

And also it's night time and that's when this is most active.
