It is of colts just 35.
Days now until we elect a president to decide law direction this country will take.
Over the next full he -- old boy.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- But wait could change tomorrow night in the first debate governor Romney President Obama.
All -- stage in -- about it -- is clearly.
A critical moment in this election campaigns -- what they've both going to do what do they both these -- Let's get into all of that with -- all political power.
How would mean the studio here.
So -- Jackson radio talk show hosts and folks these contribute a great season didn't think civilian -- -- Kevin McCullough and actually syndicated talk show host.
Good to see you Kevin South Carolina don't would you because your candidate go overall lead is the one night having to come from behind as it would -- -- What does he need to do tomorrow what you personally want to see him do on that stage.
Well I think to admit that he needs to come from behind.
Says that you accept the polling that's out there and I don't necessarily at this point.
But I do think that there is some stuff that he needs to bring to the table and and I think one of them is he needs to really lay out a clear and stark contrast with what.
His ability to fix.
Opportunities be they corporations states.
Things that he's taken on that were in deep trouble in the past.
And able to turn them around and make them proactively positive he's really bring that evidence and that passion.
To the discussion he needs to.
-- at a very stark contrast with what that will be vs what.
The president is putting forward which in my interpretation is another four years of what was incentive for you it's about.
Concrete policies and concrete comparisons you think that's enough.
I think well.
I the contrast is what we mean.
And as a small business -- somebody that makes a payroll and and is concerned about the welfare of the people that I that have a working forming.
I feel like I'm I'm representative of a large swath of the population that is very concerned.
About all the entitlements that the government currently has over our heads that are going to be required for us to supply and if not -- the taxpayers -- gonna pay for them.
And I think that governor Romney needs to speak he needs to address the small business community directly and say helps on the way he I think he does that.
I think the workers for small businesses and small business owners themselves will be encouraged that there really is a difference in this election.
So do what's president Obama's job tomorrow just to avoid any major slip up.
Easy you know is he just playing keep the -- right now you know I.
Think that when you when you can't get where you're defending cup presidents have to not to allow me the finger at the end of the day I really want to hear what he swore that when -- -- -- I want to make a case for the whole -- think that the -- that we -- -- not blaming.
But taking responsibility I think that Democrats and Republicans have to take responsibility for two off the books wars -- -- -- -- The Nobel Prize winning economist for years ago say that these wars cost us forty years ago to three trillion dollars.
That's helping to dig the hole I want you to talk about the near port -- long term unemployed.
Small business owners of course -- but I think they need to be addressed that you've got a hole.
We need to talk about poverty that's -- somehow is now off the table.
And increasing numbers of Americans the greatest number since the war on property was launched fifty years ago who are now -- let alone near port.
Because the bar has been a failure and -- -- -- -- tonight is talk about how to cure poverty not talk about the people that are currently in poverty how do you cure poverty here people jobs you get them working good and feeling good about.
What they -- producing their lives you give them a paycheck to give them a sense of self confidence you know fixing the economy.
You will help the poor because you will put people back to work.
We'll give them jobs do you have you put them in a position to earn money the fact is now in Chicago the Chicago transit authority they're hiring.
But they're hiring full time part time employees.
Which means that you could work 3030 hours a week that's what you are allowed to -- and work forty hours a week but when you retired you have no pension.
That's not fair and I think that we need to reclassify entitlements as -- to which you are entirely.
Don't think government should be telling municipalities -- companies or anybody else how to structure their benefits not telling -- click any -- to ten.
The opportunity for people to get a good a job to produce.
The fruit with the labor of their lives and let them feel that the -- -- the rewards of.
You're you're -- talking policy in a very small -- -- do you think.
Do you think that's actually what will hear on that we -- things yeah.
I haven't you know -- I don't think it's going to be one of those that is interpreted and then let colleagues itself in the -- I guess that had to land is the best one liner the -- We know when I'm tired of that political theater and the fact is Americans want to talk about the real wages have not moved -- more than thirty years -- that impact how we live.
We have the greatest number of those I disagree review strenuously the warm -- -- -- -- -- -- we just didn't stop because we kept going to all of these wars.
We have got to talk about how real Americans live and I think that we need to restructure.
Because they are political theater it is about landing the singer.
It is not about these people who -- talked to every day who I talked to on my radio show people like talk to -- rainbow push people like talked to in the streets.
Forcing out long term unemployed my unemployment insurance is running out back into which I pay.
What am I going to do what are they going to do.
There there it.
Policy side -- been there is a real issue in poll after poll after poll would you believe -- -- -- has shown me that governor Romney.
Has a problem -- ability GAAP.
And that didn't like it at all seems to matter to the American voters -- He's six that any debate former.
I don't know -- be this debate format I'm with -- on this I wish that we had.
Old school debates where you -- long form answers and had the ability to.
Engaged on a particular subject two or three questions the and allow both sides are really because I think the value of the debates is not to make it like a video game version of the boxing -- where three punches and you're down.
I think the value of the debate is to allow both sides to as.
As as much as necessary.
Bullied their answers all over the stage until its totally clear that where they're coming from and the philosophy that they're backing is made evident.
And then left of outlook that let them though the debate of those ideas raised the best idea to them to the voters for and when you really get past the sound -- We need to invest in green energy and education research and development and that somehow gonna bring.
The account that you haven't told me anything you know if you do would tell me -- -- which.
-- that both sides do.
We need to be -- with Iran.
What does that tell she really gonna do we need to well as you say we need to invest in green energy what does that really tell us it's very true that we we get a lot of we need to do this and we will do that if I'm president will do this out of the other I don't we don't really get the actual details on the.
-- -- -- really -- what they do say the Washington Post is given almost every one of them on president Obama's major economic assertions in his ads.
Three to four Pinocchio ZHU and it's been it's been that kind of discussion I'm hoping that will get to -- a more real level.
Ideas and exposure what those are but I'm not hopeful before because of the way.
The debate is format -- you don't like ability question very well and I can tell I don't think this is a personality.
Well you obviously 2008 definitely warrants and you know wanted to write the hope and change trying to -- -- but -- I can tell you can't think like ability matters it's it's this is not a soft -- -- -- always going to be kids -- -- be homeless people cabinet you know what I agree with that but the fact -- -- as good as it should be and a little -- -- -- that it you know it's how people and that's what the polls -- -- well I think the polls -- wrong -- I do I believe that the race is much closer than the polls are reflecting the media I think -- fallen down on the job do they are trying to -- opinion.
What people's opinions are.
We have got it like ability does matter -- In every interaction we have every human interaction we gauge how we like -- -- how each we like each -- how we feel about one another.
Romney's got to run against his narrative as a wealthy man in need in an economically depressed climate I don't know what anyone says while -- outside of Chicago.
It's economically depressed and the president has got to run against being intellectually brilliant.
Can't -- -- he can't be profits -- -- all of that have to be calibrated wit style and substance happily married in this debate but you know I have to tell you.
I want to see more parties on the stage.
Because there when you really really talk about it there's not a lot of daylight between the Democrats and Republicans well -- I couldn't disagree that more I absolutely I have to tell you why I answered completely -- And everything on -- She's small businesses the way I don't agree that Obama has vs empowering small businesses you don't think there's a difference between the cause I don't what are you telling your collection -- -- -- Yeah -- I am being intellectually too because I saw that I saw the Democratic Party.
Move to the right and accept a corporate -- to -- and I have seen the Republicans do that as well.
Reasonable that we could you let me say let me finish my -- -- -- -- -- I don't know I don't know I'm not -- -- -- And you know they're different no visible they didn't they might be different but there -- but their parties and how we're not we're -- flash on parliament which way that we just don't know we let me tell you wouldn't -- more -- might even given -- even though he is known for a detailed platform on economic all eyes.
So my hope that Ryan will and then we get -- -- you don't know -- they say got a -- -- that -- I I hope I.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Often don't know I don't know you want him to doing that you need to get him to be detailed.
Tell us what -- tell us what he's asserting he's not Chris while he was a unit of -- you dislocated you know I think -- this season.
His opportunity to do that if it.
He should be doing that Kevin this is the opportunity to do that Mitt Romney and isn't the only thing tomorrow I think Natal that again and again and again.
We need more meat on the bones -- all right Romney is going to do it.
-- needs to come to the table tomorrow night and say.
Look the the number one biggest.
Issue that people are going to be voting on is whether or not we can get people working hand and here's my 12 and three ways on and do that.
I'm -- empower small businesses and many give them incentives to grow their franchises so that they hire more people.
That will help bring in more money into the treasury and in the end we can improve our safety nets for those that are in need because we have a a more vibrant economy.
Four more years of what we have currently is going to roughly get us the same amount of distance down the road that the last four years -- And I think by every measure Nolan and neither party wants to be four years from now where we are now that wasn't my life.
To be under a different place one -- be a different place we've got to go with a different.
Plan of action let me just -- this -- -- even partisan -- -- looking at it from a coach's -- standpoint you don't run the same offense hoping to accomplish -- different.
You know and and sometimes wounds are self inflicted and sometimes you got a couple of quarterback -- thrown five interceptions.
You know it's bipartisan betrayal of Democrats and Republicans have run us into this stitch how we gonna get out right.
I'll take a look at we've just told you about the polling.
Which you two a little skeptical about is but one of the one of the -- that we use which is which we believe is the most accurate is the real clear politics of Paul polling averages that appears to be.
In -- view here -- so one of the most accurate source -- in the swing states that.
As you go across them.
Most of the -- in that the Obama column right now there's some of them around the three point marketed.
Three point mom is always an interesting -- to get above that and it's looking like it's -- seriously you're -- around the three point market is definitely.
Touch and go but that but that's that's the real clear politics poll averages Kevin and I.
However much I know a lot of conservatives.
Saying -- thought the polls are skewed right now.
Not a lot of others and order Republicans privately we'll say -- have -- it is what it is moving Obama's way it has been over the past couple of weeks you com.
-- you can't just disavowed all the polls but given that.
Given your skepticism was well we'll take that YouTube and com.
Eight stupid President Obama is in the driving.
See here's the -- that's what people have said here here's the main reason why I disagree with that and you can look at the polls and say he they've been.
They're they're they're being waited on the 2008 turnout model which I don't think anybody thinks is gonna happen I don't think you're gonna have people the same percentages voting the same way.
But even at that if you look at personal approval ratings by the president and and every major demographic except for African Americans.
He is down.
From where he was this time in 2008 and even among African Americans he's not -- as much as the other demographics but he's off my three -- -- -- I was -- the argument doesn't it -- -- that if anybody but Romney and the Republicans could be flying home on this.
-- -- coolest thing college and I hope that has not happened.
When I don't know what is mentioning it's fascinating to me no one's talking about the ninety million Americans who say that they will not vote is up from eighty million in 2008.
What's going on in America where more and more Americans are feeling distanced.
From the process.
I would like to see the president and governor Romney quite frankly because I want a fair fight I don't want to.
The president to win with a depressed turnout I don't want governor Romney can win with a depressed turnout I want Americans to be engaged.
Stop going at that this thin sliver of independence is cool are inclined to vote.
What about the ninety million Americans who feel disenfranchised I think that is so -- -- -- little inspiration.
Know they'll -- -- and they are looking for who have waited is that wise women.
I mean for us for people to be paid what they earned in 1977 functionally.
It's kind of -- -- just made -- -- and all the points centimeters making about jobs about the economy.
Your side should be winning this pretty darn easily -- like it's easy to Canada has -- -- Don't forget that.
The former senator and current president is a formidable candidate himself.
With a huge flexibility.
In my book I respect -- after talking about.
Things I like about President Obama -- mom even though it was -- no we can't help Barack -- dismantle and change.
Com there's there's definitely strong personality things there I think.
I think tomorrow night's going to be interesting because I almost want to say I think whoever comes out with greater humility election probably when -- invaded Christie Brinkley.
All right couple of far out he was weighing in on all of this that can you read this is like ability cavs who -- about the economy is I take it that's.
-- -- they dose of tongue in cheek and -- fat tax old says Obama is wealthy too we shouldn't just focus on Mitt Romney's well.
-- will talk about that in Abbas faction actually coming up that's actually it's bases like ability what is that like about Obama seriously.
Why -- the majority see through the com.
Obvious Celsius is tomorrow night is a show in that show the best BS wins each one of them is gonna say what they didn't look good morning -- it's too bad they both just don't tell the truth and let the chips.
Full well they may which is pretty much what -- -- both these.
With that he -- I agree with that and no one is telling the truth and more and more Americans are seeing through this Ruth.
Because more and more Americans are are impoverished junior forward there working and they're not getting ahead Greg and I want to use words like that no one.
Always or never be just okay well you know he's -- that all right stand but I don't.
