Pilots get back to politics now from -- we're just getting word that President Obama will address this new jobs report.

And it appears he's making Virginia this morning we're told that will happen at the top of that appearance so keep it happen for that.

That as many Republicans are questioning the timing and the contacts.

Between then behind this new job as a precious and that's -- -- timing everybody knew when it was.

Context is one of the big issues here.

And -- announcement by Karl Rove former senior advisor and deputy chief of staff to president George W.

Bush he is also.

A Fox News contributors -- Karl good morning -- good to have you here this morning.

Obviously.

The headline number is one that has to make them very happy at the White House this morning.

-- has to make him happy I'm not certain very happy remember 1141000.

New jobs created.

It was about a thousand more than was -- -- is anticipated.

But that's also less than what's called a replacement rate we need about a 14050000.

New jobs a month.

Just to stay even that's how many new people enter the workforce each month.

And so there I think where does he see a major response by the president we're not to be -- and doing back flips in the Rose Garden or.

-- -- -- on the campaign trail he can be very measured about this because you can't sort of pop this number up.

When the anxieties of people have about the economy are deep and dark.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- What will -- look let's let's remember this.

-- -- bomb on three majors.

Has numbers that are worse than presidents who've lost reelection Carter and bush 41 and unemployment is one of them seven point 8% today.

That there is it is it is that's that's higher than the unemployment rate under George H.

W.

Bush at seven point 6% and he lost reelection.

The second quarter GD second quarter GDP number.

One point 3%.

That's lower than the four point 3% -- that bush 41 head and he lost and then the workforce participation rate of 63 point six.

Matches the look that that the the low under Jimmy Carter who asked reelection.

What's also interesting is on job approval satisfied with the condition the country right track wrong correct.

And consumer confidence president Obama's numbers are below every president's got reelected and slightly.

Of a slightly above those of the -- got defeated so the question is is he gonna be the bottom of the guys who win -- the top of the guys who lose.

Good question and good white board we -- classes some of us to get a close look at that -- but.

We appreciate.

Although all the numbers -- let's look John Sununu who was who was talking about this quite a bit yesterday and -- it's about time.

What he had to set.

Contrast that with a president that that seemed.

That not seemed that was uninformed.

Did taxed.

And demonstrated that he has been lazy and disengaged.

And has no idea not only of his own policies.

But has no idea what Mitt Romney's real policies are.

The president last night showed us why in the country is is in trouble and it's because we have a -- Blair in the White House.

But he's trying state when he was asked to apologize for another network -- at -- I I meant every word that what do you think about that.

Well I think the word that drew everybody's attention was lazy and it's a matter of fact President Obama himself in -- December 2011 interview with Barbara Walters said quote.

You know there is a deep down under all the work I do there is a laziness in me probably from growing up in Hawaii sunny outside sitting on the beach and quote.

I think the president though was a little bit disengaged and and we see this periodically.

Outsource -- stimulus bill to congress.

You know not engaged in the Hillary Clinton for advocating in the 2008 election we sought in the -- immediate aftermath of Libya the attack on our ambassador on September 11 on the morning of September 12.

He cancels the presidential daily brief with the leadership of the intelligence community.

Goes to the State Department and then comes back to where the meeting with intelligence leaders flies off first of Nevada and then to Colorado for two days a campaign I think.

The American people would've understood -- -- he said you know what I'm.

In the in the aftermath of the murder of our ambassador in three other US personnel.

I'm -- it and stay up the campaign trail and -- with the leadership intelligence community find out what we know what we're gonna do about it -- we're gonna act.

And if that's the one actually I get before -- -- and that is said the issue of yesterday.

He he seem like he had had a a good sleep -- was raring to go.

And a lot of folks of noted that the teleprompter was back in action and he seemed a lot more comfortable out there.

Town hall format as the next one up what about this -- issue that's been talked so much about in the past 48 hours now.

Well I do I do think that the president who is better when he's -- -- off of the set -- speech on the teleprompter and in front of would have a crowd of you know of of supporters rather than in a quiet studio.

In -- one on one with Mitt Romney -- I do think we're like -- in the town hall meeting.

A very aggressive -- Obama and that's dangerous because.

-- you know there's a tendency to go overboard in that would certainly the rhetoric of the last day or two from team Obama you calling Mitt Romney a liar.

That that that is sort of on presidents we certain X we expect a certain.

Tone from the for the participants in the debate and the president -- in needing to become aggressive.

Has got to be very careful that he doesn't go overboard as his campaign is in the last town hall format going to be better and I hit my rob buddy thank.

I think it might be somewhat better but again we had sort of a town hall meeting format the other day with a moderator asking a question and these two men going at it.

For an extended period of time I thought frankly it was a very useful format for both of them and if -- pres Obama have brought his a game.

He might have done a heck of a lot better but he did but the town hall meeting will give both of them the same kind of a chance that they had.

In the game and -- -- the first debate and that is to give a series of in depth of responses to questions and have an exchange going back and forth about.

Carl thank you always -- to CF have a good weekend thanks to -- that nobody.
