-- a group of black pastors allegedly intimidated voters at the polls well this year Navy SEALs.

Plan to show off to fight back.

Our next guest recruited seals to help police the polls.

He says to make sure every vote counts then break is the man behind get out the -- he's a retired navy captain -- new book.

Did dad always vote Democrat when he -- -- you.

-- Peter are you this and tell us what your plan is how you're -- -- being.

Bringing veterans and Navy SEALs to the polls to ensure that every vote is counted properly and that people who.

Should vote I -- Well first of all that the special operations people not just seals and -- retired and and former -- -- -- run understands this.

Are part of a larger programs.

Monitor polls.

Provide poll workers.

Which as you probably know there are fewer of today than there were couple decades ago when that was still done by.

Greatest generation and Silent Generation people that are now getting too old to do it.

But the plan for the special operators is that.

In areas where we've seen voter intimidation in the past.

But we felt that that those folks would be particularly good at observing reporting.

Taking videos.

And being invisible while doing that and -- and we've gotten to the point now where we have enough that we believe will have.

Almost every poll in the country where there has been intimidation alleged in the past.

To watch.

And Ben -- Found it tell us how exactly what they will look like at the polls because I'm sure that some critics.

Could say that having a group of Navy SEALs -- special ops guys at the polls.

Could be construed as -- different form of voter intimidation.

Well we're we're very very careful and very sensitive to that and don't want to be part of the problem and the idea is that.

They will be as invisible in inconspicuous -- as as possible the idea is to observe and report.

Not to become involved at the polls and so the idea is is is that made former Navy SEALs and bettors is not.

Involving intimidation it's not trying to suppress votes -- tried to ensure that people who want to vote have the right to vote.

And that reporting inaccuracies.

Or irregularities at the polls the problem that we're seeing though at this point is that there's a lot of active duty.

Service people who are not.

Signing up to vote across the country tells about what you can do to help on that issue.

We're also as you know there's been a real problem this year DOD really fell down didn't get the voter assistance offices up and running especially in our overseas bases.

And registration is way down with our with our military.

We've we've launched a campaign to let.

Are our overseas military personnel know that they can vote using.

The federal write in back up ballot.

Which all states must except now in which many states.

Except by email and fax.

And we have a a pretty successful pretty active email campaign going on now to let all of our.

All of our troops know how to voted for some reason they don't get their ballot.

And we it's interesting numbers to show the viewers about the discrepancy from the absentee ballots requested by military members in 2000 neighbors is today in Florida.

That number is down 46%.

From 2008 in North Carolina the numbers down.

59%.

From 2008 in Virginia it is down 70%.

In Ohio it is also.

Down seven.

During the 2008.

Election how how challenging was it for you to be on a -- from there.

Well I was lucky I was a senior officer.

And had access to computers and -- headquarters pretty regularly.

But a lot of -- a lot of my troops my sailors I was the senior navy officer at that I staff at the time.

I had great difficulty and I remember one master sergeant that worked for me.

Who lived in the same state as I -- at the time which was Maryland.

Didn't get its ballot until five days before the election so it can be very hard for some troops and there -- good experiences for others.

But it's bad enough that we know that in 2008.

Only about five point 6%.

Of our overseas military had their ballots actually -- count.

We'll eventually break.

And we want to let the viewers also know that to learn more about your program get out the vet he visit FOX & Friends dot com I -- tweeted out as well here's the address.
