And we all know of course the words clearly out on the dangers of smoking but there's a brand new study that links memory problems with people who regularly.

Breathe in secondhand smoke so it's not just if you're a smoker doctor -- now if you have a friend that -- can affect your brain.

You know what I'm glad you framed it that -- -- because it started a few years ago when -- but Cisco UCSF.

University of California San Francisco did a huge study looking at twenty other studies and said smoking increases your risk of getting alzheimer's disease.

By two times and what does it do that smoking well.

It leads to other problems that are related to dementia you you gain weight.

Obesity high blood pressure diabetes.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- In addition smoke.

Has nicotine -- it.

Which affects the brain directly and probably directly leads to dementia that we haven't been able approve -- -- now secondhand smoke leading into that.

Has the same exact problems as primary -- you get exposed to it.

In many ways it's as if you smoked it yourself as a matter of fact you don't have the filter you may get -- chemicals from secondhand smoke.

Then from primary smoke -- this study out of Britain.

Was small and the reason I started by talking about the larger study in the past.

This hole is small it looked at.

27 smokers 26 non smokers and and -- sixty nonsmokers 1262 hand.

And they found if you smoke you had your worst chance of getting dementia.

But secondhand smoke was almost as bad.

And the bottom line here is cigarette smoking is bad.

If it leads to strokes it leads to high blood pressure -- the diabetes worsening of diabetes gaining weight and it can lead to demand jumped totally committed -- It -- a lot of people smoke thinking it's good to keep them then.

Should there be a warning on a pack of cigarettes adding dimension to the other risks.

Well I don't think there's any room left on that package with all the pictures and -- -- -- a dramatic and inflammation that's there.

But if I was a secret.

Company and I'm listening to segment I would say look where is approved.

And the truth is that there are a lot of theories but we haven't been able to show.

They're real cause and effect the smallest things like this is not gonna say once -- -- much except there's some association.

But what had some of this series that's effective we think that nicotine can shut down some with a blood flow to the brain.

You get oxygen to think and to be able to have higher IQ and be able to bring some of the memories.

You'll cognitive skills are going to be affected by the toxic effect of nicotine itself.

Maybe on the interceptors in the soundness and the areas -- -- memories are but the biggest one that I find interest in his.

Some sort of oxygen -- stress it's smoking whether it's first time or second -- Puts a lot of free radicals and proxy data on the brain that's one of the reasons why in the past.

You heard -- there was a -- talk about things that can take and clean up so these two radicals want was this game go -- below book -- Volvo which now.

We're seeing some you know controversial.

Study about this may or may not help.

Someone antioxidants.

How many blueberries and black you know -- raspberries can you have not a lot.

But vitamin -- He and see.

Clean -- -- those -- those are good for -- we talked about vitamin B twelve.

That can improve your memory that's really helpful to make sure pastor doctor check my vitamin B twelve.

Those are some of the things that you can do now -- -- -- -- It takes about five to ten years if you quit today to clear up from your system but -- other studies have shown.

Dead when you do that within two to three years you see improvement in your memory and hand this is absolutely I mean unions tell you to stop smoking.

When turning point on -- -- wanna make it clear that it's not necessarily the direct effect on the brain it could be that direct effect or could be the other things that smoking does to your body that themselves cause you to have -- came directly whatever.

Where it is Eric and I are asking all our friends if you're gonna hang out with us please.

-- don't want to take a -- also think well that's a very strong message read you grew up.
