Really incredible stories that'll definitely leave you walking away today thinking wow.

What an inspiration and in this next guest is a true inspiration.

For anyone not just for the disabled and for those who have been victims of bullying but for any average person who walks the streets.

And in his case in a wheelchair.

Born with no arms no legs suffered a bullying.

But he would not believe and now has such an amazing story to tell his newly married.

And has a family and and and just incredible inspiration and -- I want to welcome now.

-- -- check he is the director of life without limbs and author of unstoppable he's also.

On Twitter by the way it's nick -- check.

On that Twitter think you so much for talking to us and I just want to start from the beginning I mean you're you we talk about bullying as parents as a parent I I dread the day that.

That my child becomes the victim of bullying it happens to everybody and when a child is is born into this world with any kind of disability at all.

It just makes life so much harder as a child tell me what your childhood was like.

Well it was quite difficult being our new one in the whole school in a -- -- that is is the first special needs child to be integrated into the mainstream education system of Australia in 1990.

I now live in Southern California and -- -- in 2012 and bullying is I think a little bit more rampant.

Then then actually back then.

It was difficult for me feeling alone I think.

Being -- long was more disabling than actually having note ten fingers and ten toes -- medically explainable by birth.

And it was it was the fear of thinking well why why me I can't do anything and what's to look forward -- life.

And I've spoken -- 600 schools all across the world 44 countries.

And I see many teenagers wanting to give up and especially United States America just not feeling beautiful and and not understanding the truth of their -- not being determined on how they look how popular they what they have what they don't have and sometimes even.

Saying well my parents and understand that I just wanna tell you you parents.

If it wasn't for my parents who continued daily to plant those love.

A seeds and and and seeds of truth and hope in my life saying they don't worry about what they say you're beautiful just -- that they.

Parents he -- very clearly.

When your -- his -- do not disturb sign on their front though when you Tom that they beautiful respect that but go through their windows.

From yeah -- know sometimes you -- to listen to your kids but then again you have to sort of read between the lions have I have your book Keira I was looking at the inside.

And the touching pictures of you as a little boy and then you as a married -- on your wedding day.

It.

Your life -- -- has certainly taken.

Quite a trip and now you're turning negatives into positives that's that's your trademark passion you want to teach that.

Suited to those who -- her -- may be in in the same.

Position that you -- when you were a child's what what's the number one advice piece of advice I guess.

You could give to anyone who's dealing with a really negative situation and getting them to understand that there is a way to turn it around.

You know I want people to know that I never understand their pain in fact I've met many mothers who've lost this -- -- give up their arms and legs -- have this son back in their life broken this is broken -- but hope is hope.

And the hope of festival knowing the there -- true value of who you.

-- Knowing that I am beautiful I'm wonderfully goofy if we made and I'm not a mistake we all make mistakes but I'm not a mistake.

And you know I just just the the courage that my parents implanted in my life of knowing that you don't know where you can achieve -- you try it.

And when you -- try again and I'm just telling everybody no matter what circumstance Syrian.

That no matter what broken -- you have you don't know what golf can do with -- broken pieces until you give him.

-- broken pieces and give you broken pieces a chance.

When you don't get a miracle you can still be a miracle for someone else and so amazingly five years ago is here in Southern California and -- a little boy -- no wants no legs Daniel Martinez.

And the doctors told his parents that we don't know why he was born that way.

We don't think he's gonna wolf we don't think is gonna go to school we don't think it has much hope.

The missile might YouTube video one of 100 million views.

Ed people are inspired -- -- it is.

Guy without limbs skydiving to scuba diving surfing traveling around the world meeting presidents and speaking to millions of people.

And I just want people to know that if I can do it you can do it and -- not a mistake don't give up on god because -- looking to give up when you.

That's exactly what I was gonna point out the fact that there are YouTube's videos out there and everyone who's watching -- now.

Has got to go I mean tens of millions of people have watch these videos and in your skydiving you -- surfing you're.

Doing all these sort of action sports I don't know how the world's first -- -- -- managed to -- I saw the picture that you -- -- -- I personally would never even attempt it -- And I guess I don't even know how how did you get into surfing first -- -- -- what's.

What what what a -- TV yes surfing seems a -- sport that I would love.

Well my knees were shaking and elsewhere very good friends of Bethany Hamilton she actually told me how -- for the very first time in Waikiki Hawaii 2000 today.

And that they would push -- into the -- the wave and we have like a pile of towels there.

And I would lay down their push means the wave in the whole beach was -- and obviously -- -- trying to get up and this what fifteen times I've failed so what happens when we fail.

We try again yeah -- and every failure brings us closer to success is on the fifteenth time I got up.

And there was -- -- -- you know amazing roll across the beach and unlike oil wider now the whole -- -- quite -- But I I think I love.

It is amazing -- I just want people to know that that we put some new limits on on our lives have no limits especially on.

-- this money drugs sex alcohol pornography fame fortune if you were to happen isn't temporary things your happiness will be temporary.

And to know that it's okay to ask people for help we need family and friends and faith.

Two to be carried you know -- that title of unstoppable this my second book and the reason why couldn unstoppable.

Wasn't to say that -- bullet proof of that anyone's bulletproof.

But -- -- that we all sometimes need to be carried by one another as well yum and and tonight that you always learn more in a bad they've been a good day in two to dream -- can never give up.

You know you talk about family and how important family and is especially to a child.

For parents or any guardians out there that are watching this and have a child.

I don't care what -- teenaged.

You know there are signs they should look out for you can prevent a lot of party can I wanna go see the signs for those.

Who may not know that their child is currently being bullied increasing reluctance to go to school work events.

A refusing to discuss the day's events upon coming home.

Major changes in their eating habits increased problems concentrating.

And dramatic darkening of mood these are signs.

That'd.

That date -- your child may be a victim of bullying right.

Right and in and look I don't have the formula for every child in fact you -- the reason for some of these things it is because you know they go -- broke up with them.

You know you don't know our.

Really what what is going on however what I do.

Really encouraged parents to do -- find something that you -- can do that you enjoy or at least not with something that you both -- inspired with may be -- with -- -- -- circus a short film that really despise.

That we soldiers very effectively bring parents and teenagers coming to a movie that they actually really like its on line -- a fight circus.

And talk about that and try to become their friend -- that you know parents relationships with the kids is how was school -- would you -- nothing did you do your homework -- You know -- old boring it was nothing -- would that would that's it that's the conversation they have.

You know actually take some time and sit down with you teenagers -- is smarter than you think battles that teenagers you don't know everything.

A bomb and and try getting to to the head of of your child being in just a friendly way of saying tell me about the kids at school you know.

Make widgets were sold in about -- tell me about the kids at school in in in your school you know who's who you know you -- that the cool panel of tough -- -- you sort of a bystander have you seen people you -- being -- like.

You know what what I want you to -- always is the best thing is is having your friend and my -- don't have to just -- mom and dad do your best to be their friend and -- and and say hey hey let let's let's talk about -- school situation sort of like a third party -- -- -- -- not under the microscope.
