Internal report out this is -- Transportation Security Administration.

Often fail to follow basic security procedures at Newark Liberty International Airport right across the river here.

One of the nation's largest and most interest in airports according to -- report from the that the TSA screeners are properly.

-- -- -- standard pat downs only about 17%.

Of the time.

17%.

This follows a different report from ABC news said that TSA hired a former Catholic -- in Philadelphia.

After the -- booted him on accusations he sexually abused young girls.

-- -- now is aviation security analyst and retired airline captain -- -- -- with the city thank you.

Thank you that anybody who flies a lot certainly can't be overly surprised that.

Everything isn't going perfectly with the thousand standing around on this TSA.

No I think he can't be and a you know I've said all along have said many sentences security today at the airports is no better than it was on September the tenth 2001 it just.

The people are inadequately trained in the people are don't have the proper equipment.

And because of this there's a big problem with security and I don't know that they need to fix it.

Well.

You talk to people who fly a lot those of us who were on we were.

I don't know in the position where we end -- flying a lot know this.

But people who don't get mad at you for saying it as if you're saying bad things about good people know -- -- met these people.

It's this system and I don't understand why it is that.

That there is not an a hue and cry about this I mean this is how they got to us and now we still pay no attention.

Yeah it it's a shame because you what you've got is a big bloated bureaucracy.

That wasn't supposed to be this big and of course when you get a Barack -- like this it's hard to control if not impossible.

And you have bottom line is what you do is you have a bureaucracy that just doesn't work.

And until they fix it security is going to be nothing -- window dressing and in reality we don't have secure.

What you know what is they're gonna come a time when it's all standardized.

Every -- went when they take your ID and your piece of paper that or your or your iPhone that is your ticket.

Every single one of those people has a different procedure city -- city countered counter airport to airport it's different everywhere I don't understand the.

Right.

Well -- it's right in and that's the problem is of standardization.

What what they need to do is to set procedures and make sure that everybody follows him in if they do that they could cut back from the bureaucracy.

But the -- another thing is that we don't profile.

And until we profile were not going to have good security they profile in Israel where they profile all over Europe.

And -- say profile you know everybody runs for cover.

It has nothing to do with anything except certain expressions you may have in your face -- -- sweating the faith fact that your hands are shaking.

People that are trained to look for these things pick out the problems before they get even through security.

It would make it a lot more efficient but the politicians just don't want to do this.

Standardization inefficiency seems to work perfectly at a place like McDonald's.

Mustard ketchup pickle and she's two pieces of bond and a piece of me that that that works perfectly.

But this idea that you have to look at people and try to figure out what it is their thinking and what their motivations -- not about color of skin or height or age or anything else.

About actions and reactions that before 9/11 they used to ask me questions we actually had some contact.

And that's the one thing that they've cut out.

-- -- and it's a shame because it works very well.

And -- the problem is you've got all these people they're not paid very well they get bored with the system.

And something in some cases people don't even get searched I I personally saw.

In Boston one time I saw that some TSA people try to steal money out of my wallet.

And there was nothing I could do about it I wrote letters or call people couldn't do anything about it.

The needs to be.

Trained people who are paid adequately and standardize procedures including group did -- kill you know when -- -- don't you.

-- -- winner yet when -- -- airplane crashes into the World Trade Center that's we will then they tell it to deceive thank you.

Thank you well and open bar often makes for a wild wedding.
