However since Osama bin Laden's death President Obama and his liberal allies they've been out there are spiking the football and downplaying the threat that al-Qaeda and Islamic extremists still -- But on this program would really be the very plane the very simple truth the terrorist threat in my view is far more dangerous than ever before.
And don't just take our word for it CBS foreign correspondent.
Lara Logan is now sounding the alarm in the last week the veteran Middle East reporter slammed the Obama administration and said.
It is quote a major lie that the Talabani has been weakened.
And when speaking about the murders of ambassador Chris Stevens to Navy SEALs and one other American she did not mince words either Logan said.
That she hopes the president won't quote let the world know that the United States will not be attacked on its own soil that its ambassadors will not be murdered.
And that the United States will not stand by and do nothing about it.
A point I've made a number of times joining with reaction the author of the New York Times best seller the price of politics Bob Woodward.
You know the president sent a message to al-Qaeda Bob.
-- is what he said -- short but let me play for.
And today.
Al-Qaeda -- on -- -- and Osama bin Laden is no more.
Is that a good thing -- Well added it's true Osama bin Laden is dead but had to say al-Qaeda it is fair -- its heels is just not a watch case thing.
For the leader did say.
Because that is an aggravation.
To al-Qaeda.
You know they still are planning things now I I think it is true they are on their heels but they're still -- very dangerous.
It is an incredibly dangerous world.
You you have Laura Logan who's -- on the ground reporter.
Good staying.
That yes in a very determined one saying this is what I see.
Danger now if you go to the intelligence professionals who play a key role in putting al-Qaeda and its heels.
When they hear the president say something like that they gas that cause.
Dad is an incentive for al-Qaeda.
We have done some spectacular.
Things in the intelligence gathering world so we know.
Lots of things that are going on we have disruption tactics.
And when that when the president says something like -- you know we -- it.
That the people who actually do it in the national security agency of the CIA -- pedal and say oh we've got a source who we've got to bugs some place.
And the people who really know that business comedy in each morning with their fingers crossed.
Hoping they have not lost that -- source because those sources go away.
Overnight in so to stirred that pot.
The best.
That's the thing to do in the intelligence is just to sit back and say.
We're doing our job.
Were still worried to the professionals are still worried and yes they got bin Laden.
You know I I -- within the last time on the program and I said any president that sits down with he has got to be out of his mind.
And -- and as a compliment because you are relentless.
You really exposing your book how detached the president is as it relates to the budget deal in the deficit he has a -- relationships.
-- best known for Watergate.
Here we have a situation -- -- which is a known hotbed for terrorist training.
We have an ambassador writing in his diary that he felt as light was in jeopardy we now know that he requested additional security and it was denied.
We know that the Libyan president said that this was a terror attack from the very beginning.
The White House went out there with this line that.
This was spontaneous -- mortars and and rocket propelled grenades.
It had nothing to do with America that nothing to do with the anniversary of 9/11 it was all based on a movie trailer.
All of this story is unraveling.
The -- I would think as a reporter.
And I'm not a reporter you're when you're known to be -- great reporter.
This would be a gold mine.
Why are your colleagues in the media ignoring it.
Well actually some very strong stories have been done in my newspaper is -- Washington Post done -- they have in there it is there is more to be done.
Clearly there is a disconnect and a prom I just want to correct one thing about.
What I say in the book -- about Obama I don't say he was totally detached I say he was not can't -- enough.
He did not make.
That effort to take this problem of fiscal crib a cliff in the financial house in order over the finish line and so.
We -- in.
The mess we are.
Because there was not sufficient leadership on his part in also on the part of the real public -- -- I -- I agree I went to -- chip but it but.
I believe that they purposefully.
Lie.
And -- the evidence seems incontrovertible to me tell me where I'm well I haven't I haven't -- ended there's not evidence -- bad and I've.
For forty years -- covered too many of these things.
Where sometimes there is a cover up sometimes are people line.
It all kinds of levels if you have to get in there and get the -- -- but I do agree with you.
That this should be examined the in depth.
By somebody.
Neutral in the mediate.
In it shouldn't need the congressional committees should be looking at this and this is why.
We -- have the Intelligence Committees in the house and the senate this is made for them.
To examine they have good all right first off congratulations to get on the book and and you another New York Times best seller.
Appreciate being with -- -- -- thank you thank you and coming up --
